- Wonder Woman finally got a movie and it was a massive hit. The follow-up film, Wonder Woman 1984, will be coming to theaters this year. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman...the Holy Trinity of DC, yet until now, you’d think there’s only a Holy Duo. Clark and especially Bruce with his rabid fanbase, get more attention than her individually, much less combined. Both (especially Superman) are shown as the center of the DC Universe, while she’s just...there. She needs this game more than both of them, and this is coming from someone who DESPERATELY wants a Superman game. She is the most iconic female superhero in the world, and deserves to be given recognition for that, in all forms of mediums.
You might find that the average person is only just realizing Wonder Woman is a major DC character like Superman but honestly I think they need great games about an equal amount and funny enough for mostly opposite reasons. Wonder Woman because for someone so important to DC she's barely recognized. Even if everyone's always known who she is her actual history from her sidekicks, to her villains, and her best stories aren't remotely as known. I think Superman's reputation as the world's strongest hero on the other hand actually works against him. More often than not when I hear Superman being brought up it's someone saying he's too powerful to be interesting and I just don't agree with that. It depends on the story and the continuity but he's really not always that OP. Also a new Superman game should have a new version of the character and his mythos so if for instance the DCAU could manage his power level to what they needed so can the dev on this game.

I hope that if they make a Wonder Woman that they don't base it on the US, she doesn't have that much of a connection to that place (outside Candy and Trevor). It would be really cool if they took the Uncharted route and explored a bunch of places around the world

Who is here after they just announced a new Wonder Woman game?
I'd love a Wonder Woman action adventure game. My ideal Wonder Woman game would offer fantastical settings, monster hunting, epic mythological stories and dabble in some espionage. Is it possible to combine Devil May Cry, God of War and Metal Gear Solid.
I feel like Ghost of Tsushima with their combat slayed some interesting groundwork for combat in a Wonder Woman game with the sword fights and blocking seamlessly combined throwing weapons (like her tiara). I feel like if you take that with the charge jump ability from Spider-Man, because in some incarnations she can't fully fly, then they have the perfect Wonder Woman gameplay right there
Her gameplay mechanic would be like Star Wars the fallen order, Batman Arkham series, Spider-Man ps4, god of war, and undefeated(a Superman type game).
And of course like any good superhero game, her game would need unlockable alternate costumes.

I wish Warner would start laying the ground work to make the cinematic universe, the game universe, and the comics universe all part of the same connected multiverse. Granted yes it would take time, but I think it could really pay off in the long run. You’d have a way of bridging the gap between the different fan bases while still keeping them as their own elements and financially separate
I know it’s just a pipe dream though cuz Warner would never make ANY kind of long term commitment like that. It just seems like Warner is some multi-headed creature, but none of the heads talk to each other or work together for a mutually assured future.
God of War (2018) is an excellent template for loads of superhero games. Wonder Woman for the mythology/world, Thor for the axe mechanics and Superman for power/strength.

I cannot tell you how happy I am. I really hope that there are tons of cosmetic options for the character and that they are able to include both her more peaceful side and violent side. Wonder woman is one of those characters that has both going on for her. She prefers peace and obviously that's what she strives for but she's certainly someone who's not unwilling to fight. The nemesis system will have to be incorporated a little differently since she's not going to be going around brainwashing people, but they could also do something with the lasso of truth and other things in her character so I'm super excited to see it.
@@DegenerateJay omfg yes! I want different skins! Like her old costume, the live action one and maybe even a custom! The nemesis system will work well especially if someone has been turning the Amazon’s against their own and the lasso frees them! Can’t wait to see the mechanics and leveling system too! Do we get new weapons or just improve the sword and lasso given to us? I would want it to be like the latter but I’m open to other cool weapons to use since Diana has been trained in all combat! Looking forward to some magical aspects with the bracers too and if they’re going off her new origin she is a demigoddess! I’d love to see the warrior side of Diana kick some major ass In this! Im so HERE for it and so exicted!
Wonder Woman needs a game in the style of 2018’s God of War.
100% Agreed, hell her new 52 run was very God of War-esc. I'd love to see how they implement her weapons, lasso and flight. Also, maybe side missions fitting of her character like UN meetings akin to Peter Parker sections or keep her on Themyscira.
Hopefully, it would lead to other heroes like Flash, Superman and Lantern Corps game.
They need to make a X-men game again, I don't care if it's a beat 'em up or fighting game, we just need one.

I'm surprised WB not give her a video game especially when her movie is a success and people are looking forward to her next one it's like what's the holdup.
Maybe to get your skills and gadgets and stuff, you could do a Jedi Fallen Order thing and have flashbacks to you learning skills such as a shield throw or maybe some kind of pulse or shot with your gauntlets. This could take use of the idea of Themyscira, but not actually have to go back there to continue through the story
I'd actually argue that Devil May Cry or Bayonetta is a better fit for Wonder Woman, given her arsenal. You could really have fun chaining the whip, sword and shield into different combos. I think the Kratos style is a bit too slow and chunky for Wonder Woman, given the speed the character is known for (she's no Flash but the gods gave her that gift and we often see her use it in her fighting style.)
Actually in comics,WW has kept up with a Bloodlusted Flash before.she can easily move beyond light speed(speed of Hermes)

Good God her portrayal in Injustice/Injustice 2 is disgusting....

It's worse in the Injustice comics because they start from the beginning and it feels like she was always that way. I never liked the idea that a normal version of Superman would be that far gone if you took everything from him but at least he needed that kind of catastrophic event to get there.
She really does make it a lot easier than most characters. Whether it's the classic lasso, bracelets, and tiara or modern more realistic weapons she's one of the few powerful DC characters that relies a lot on relatively normal equipment. I don't think it should be impossible to do this with Superman but her classic powers can also be brought to a manageable level and you can give her any number of them as a gift from an Olympian God.
I disagree about her villains though. Maybe if you try to stuff in as many characters as possible you'd have to get into a lot of JL or more obscure villains but I don't think every game needs to do that. That's great if it works but she has more than enough decent villains to spread out over a few games with more of a quality over quantity approach which I would find refreshing at this point.
She was always a superman level character in terms of power thou.in the comics,she can do almost Anything with her god like strength,speed and durability like moving the earth,moon and even at one point the Sun.and she RARELY use weapons.almost all the time she relies on her powers
@@NJ-eo2oc I don't think it's rare but relies was too strong of a word. I just meant it's probably a lot easier to figure out how those things should work in the game compared to a lantern ring or the speed force. She definitely is on Superman's level but I think there's more wiggle room at least in the broader perception of where she has to be.
I'd love for a game where it starts in World War 1/2, goes to 80's, then present time. And depending on the things you do or choose, you'll be a certain type of Wonder Woman (lasso only or shield and sword or perhaps even 100% battle warrior that is ruthless). Think inFAMOUS

Even without the movie(s), I don't think anyone would've been opposed to a Wonder Woman game because while not a lot of people knew ABOUT her before the movie, everyone AT LEAST knew who she was.
Best part about Diana, is that making a game for her will be possible. Look at God of War 4. It will be possible and changing some things like having her lasso instead of the blades of Chaos.
If she can fly or high jump can be something different than in GoW.

I love Batman but I really want a Wonder Woman game. I really think it be amazing play as Diana. If she could fly too I think it would be kinda cool. Maybe having Ares or Cheetah as the main villain for the game, Ares makes a lot of sense especially enemy wise. I think you could really go a lot of places with a Wonder Woman game.

Mr. J I think villains in Wonder Woman's Rogues gallery that can be remagine or have a personal connection to her should be characters like doctor psycho dr. Poison doctor cyber and maybe Silver Swan the star triplets Captain Wonder
Wonderwoman seems like the obvious choice for a videogame. Aside from Batman and Green Arrow she is probably the easiest to do especially since God Of War showed us what Greek Myth can look like in a game. Just make a less dark but God Of War and John Byrne based Wonderwoman world with a similar combat system and perspective as Arkam but with a different fighting style that involves using things like the lasso and superstregnth, and arrow/bullet/laser reflecting defense with the bracelets. The current Wonderwoman movies and the Superman/Batman Apocalypse animated film are great places to get inspiration for a Wonderwoman combat system. And have the personality be a version based on a Galgal Gadot's and Lynda Carter's takes on the character. A warrior and goddess of love. The perspective should be similar to Spider-man PS4 and Arkam series

I think she can be used more in a game where the character story is explored, how is she affected by the different periods of history and , while the player can explore the levels and interact with the people that exist in the world, discover the history of DC and his lore. I don't know, you can show the player her youth fighting mythological beasts and the gods of different pantheon (ie Egyptian gods, Norse gods or even the gods of mexico) during the classical age. When the age of world wars arrives it is shown how she joins the conflict to negotiate peace using her experience from her youth, and during the cold war she participates in the war of spies to recover magical artifacts and sabotage conspiracies while adapt to society, until the last level that consist in the modern times ending with the fundation of the Justice League with starro as the final boss of the game while, in parallel, are shown to the player the different reincarnations of cheetah, how we fight against her, until it is shown how she joins the Legion of Doom. Of course, in each level Wonder woman can meet different characters such as the first Hawkman and Hakgirl, the heroes and champions of mythologies during the classical era; the Losers, the blackhawks squadron, the freedom fighters, Dr. poison, Baroness Paula von Gunther and Baron Blitzkrieg during the period of world wars; the justice society of America, doctor psycho, giganta and the angle man during the cold war, and if there is a need to add some super boss to fight, at each level it will be allowed to battle against a resident of Apokolips.
I even think that wonder woman out of all the superheroes has the most variety of weapons as oppose to the other superheroes and her fighting mechanic would be very diverse.

In a Wonder Woman video game I picture her alternating with her fist and melee weapons using the square and triangle button, the square is the basic attacks using your fist, and the triangle button using your melee attacks.

Pretty easy, blend the Assassin’s Creed set in Ancient Greece with the scale and scope of God of War 4. Oh and make the villain Hera of the Greek Gods being angry that Zeus conceived Diana with Hippolyta. That’s a classic mythological plot line of the jealousy that Hera has for the illegitimate children of Zeus and have it like God of War where she has to kill Ares and Hera and she teams with demigods like Hercules. Have Aquaman cameo in there as the Atlanteans are descendants of Poseidon.

Honestly every JLA character needs at least one game. Batman is nit more realistic than them. He is at peak human ability. He’s practically super human. But anyway The Flash could be a better way to handle the 06 sonic games. Those games were great but they didn’t fit Sonic The Hedgehog as a light happy character. The Flash is a bit darker than that so it could be like the 2000’s sonic games. Green Arrow could be more adventurous than Batman. Superman will probably be AMAZING. It its done right. With normal human villains that have advanced technology. Green Lantern could be a world jumping game around the galaxy. Aquaman could be god of war. Wonder Woman could be god of war. Martian Manhunter doesn’t need a game but it could be an awesome idea

I would like it if it was a , WWII era game about wonder woman helping in the war, and having some cameos from the justice society of America/all star squadron. Just imagine playing as Diana punching/stabbing nazis and trowing the ocasional tank.

Ok i was wrong on Wonder Woman part thoughts villains is aways the key point when it come to Superheroes game , Comic Book and Movies . But for me if they go on some one unknown than fine , Wonder Woman Sword is going to have different type of a version for her background story . Cheetah and Ares have to be use first because is , like Joker , Ra's al ghul , Zod and Lex Luthor as a real rival against Superman and Batman . @@legoking6165 I didnt think of them but i can see why you mentioned them. I think Santa Monica Studios can give the right balance with story and combat with what they did with God of War and the whole franchise. Not to say Platinum Studios won't do a great job of telling a compelling story because they're talented in their own right.
I kinda assumed that Platinum would only handle the gameplay side of things and the story would be written by Greg Rucka and Liam Sharp, two writers who work on Wonder woman rebirth graphic novels.
