Could you imagine what the Deathstroke boss fight in Knight could've been if it was hand-to-hand, and if Rocksteady took advantage of the game's combat, which is the most refined of the series? It would've been insanely great!
I've played this game a few times. When I fight the cloudburst tank, I unload like crazy on the core. Makes it faster to beat. Just drive backwards, then use the cannon and hold down the machine gun button. Using both also cheeses that battle.
I was thinking that after the tank battle with DeathStroke they would have a "hand to hand" section, and then I see Slade lunging at BatMan... I was like "oh yeah" and then "wait what?"!
Joker injecting himself with Titan reminds me of Brawn, an episode from The Batman TV series where Joker stole Bane's venom gear and used it to boost himself up...wonder if the creators of Asylum took inspiration from that....🤔
This was a Idea me and my Friend came up with in Arkham Knight Around the time the game came out It would’ve been better if like what you said the Deathstroke Boss fight should have been Nightwing And Batman vs Slade and Rose Wilson or Deathstokes son
It would have made no sense story wise to include rose or Slade's son because they havent introduced them before and for people unfamiliar with the comics they really wouldn't know who they are.
The Protagonist I get what you mean by Story sense but with them not being in any of the games I mean there a lot of people in Knight Who haven’t been in Arkham series like Deacon Blackfire Professor pig like all they would have to do is give a Character profile like The orders I have mentioned With the story part just Throw in a few Lines from Batman or Nightwing about them and I know Slade works alone I’ll just make the Excuse that the last time he was in Gotham he got he’s ass Kicked by Batman so 2 is better than 1 Or even if it was just Batman and Nightwing vs Slade like there would have been so many funny One Lines from Nightwing Letting us know the player that Slade and Nightwing know each other
Makes me happy to see no Arkham Origins bosses on this list. Just gives me the impression that Rocksteady doesn’t know how to do a good boss fight. Striking lucky gold once with Mr. Freeze in City being their peak.
@@Modernww2fare yea I forgot about that one. That’s not bad either. And Clayface as well. And maybe Grundy. Ok, so maybe a few bosses in City weren’t awful. But there are still a lot that were throughout their history. Add in the Suicide Squad bosses and well…
I thought the Arkham Knight Deathstroke fight was going to transition to a fist fight, since the Deathstroke tank basically camped around this little archway into a sewer, and I thought once you beat the tank, he would eject and you would fight him on top of that arch
Imagine if Deathstroke joined Scarecrow and the Arkham Knight from the beginning, and was integrated into the story as a way to keep challenging Batman, and then have his tank battle happen as a sort of set-up for the Arkham Knight's tank much later on. Later, have him lead the GCPD assault, and then instead of fighting his forces on the roof, you fight Slade in a hand-to-hand battle. That would be awesome.
Have the fight against Deathstroke even be a Batman and Nightwing team up fight. It's a shame that mechanic was never used for an actual boss fight and the Slade one makes perfect sense.
@@Joibuzzr1 Ah, forgot about that one. Yeah I guess it was fine, but it was pretty basic imo. A fight with a proper martial artist like Deathstroke or a beast like Killer Croc would have been really cool though.
Never played "Knight" but the Scarecrow chasing and beating him up easily strongly reminds me of Spider-Man PS4 when you do the exact same thing to Shocker. But, Shocker had a badass boss battle!
Tv Tropes has an explanation for why the Deathstroke fight is the way it is by explaining that in the ten years Batman has improved himself and is more then prepared to take down Deathstroke again. But while I understand that I also kind of hate that because it means that Deathstroke didn't bother improving his skills to take on Batman in a rematch even though the Knight should have told Deathstroke about how much Batman has changed. I played through Knight on new game plus and when I finally got to the fight with Deathstroke it took me less then five minutes to beat him thanks to using the cobra tank hack upgrade. You know what would have been better have Batman figure out where Scarecrow was hiding out, then going to the Asylum and when he encounters Scarecrow. Batman's about to take him down but right before he can punch him out, in comes Deathstroke with an ambush similar to his fight in Origins only they wind up (somehow) in the area where you fought Bane in the original. The two characters would then slug it out with each character using their new gear and armor to slug it out for superiority (while the Joker hallucination provides commentary) one more time with Batman barely winning. This would leave Batman weak enough for Scarecrow to ambush him with his new toxin but finally giving Batman a chance to expose his Joker persona to the gas getting rid of him once and for all.
Temporary Titan Joker made so much sense for the storyline of Arkham Asylum and was a BADASS design! Of course he was gonna keep “posing” for the cameras to show off - he’s all about theatrics and showmanship.
Before watching, I bet the majority of these, if not all of them are gonna be from Arkham Knight EDIT: Yepppp, that game seriously dropped the ball on boss fights
I think an interesting one to talk about would be Two-Face or Harley Quinn from Arkham City/Harley Quinn's Revenge. I still remember the first time I fought both of them, and I remember absolutely hating them. For one, they're exactly the same, just one as Catwoman and the other as Robin. There's just a bunch of henchmen that constantly respawn, and Dent and Quinn just go to random points and shoot rockets for no reason. I feel like playing as Batman would have made these encounters much better. A) Because Catwoman Predator sections are the hardest thing in Arkham City. And B) Because Harley could have been more unique than a direct copy of Two-Face. As another one, after just replaying Arkham Origins, can we talk about Shiva? By god this fight was horrible! She had a lot of buildup, especially with her mission before the fight, but it was all wasted. For one, it's just a copy of Ras' al Goul's fight from City but without any of the epic scale or unique setting. You literally fight the same ninjas from City, right down to the same voices and nearly models. And Shiva herself doesn't pose a threat like Deathstroke, as she just fights the same as the ninjas. Big letdown for a pretty decent buildup.
The way you can beat the Cloudburst Tank fight quickly is just do what Kwing did and just fire your machine guns at the weak spot!!! That moment in his playthrough was so funny and satisfying at the same time!
I would put in Man-bat All you do is find him and glide on top of him into a cutscene. Could of been like the man-bat Btas episode where Batman grapples around man-bats leg and has to dodge obstacles that man-bat flys past.
Personally I wouldn't count it as a boss fight. I love man bat and was really hoping for a punch up, I didn't hate the mission but I was sad it was just jump on him 3 times. I'd have preferred if they mixed it up the second and third times (this actually applies to the Firefly chase too. If they'd just mixed it up in the 2nd and 3rd runs it would have been less tedious) and had you have like a punch up in the air I'd have enjoyed that more. But the real reason I comment is to say, I love that Batman the animated series can be shortened to Btas. I thought you'd misspelled bats at first.
Degenerate Jay I remember this one person on TH-cam. Forgot his name but he suggested an amazing idea for the Man-Bat boss-fight. You glide and jump on him but he senses it ( bats have better auditory capabilities) and throws you into a building. In the process, he rips your cape so you can’t fly away. You get into a stealth mission, and you have to activate specific lights to blind Kirk when he’s searching for you. When he’s blinded, you inject him and this repeats for 3 times. The last time, he counters the attack and throws you away. You have to block all projectiles he throws at you along with a loud scream. You get to him, inject and knockout punch.
Another thing wrong with the firefly fight is that he stayed at ground level. Seriously, *HE CAN FLY* but he stays low enough for Batman to chase him in the Bat-Tank as opposed to gliding and zip-lining. Batman could have set up traps for him like shorting out his wings, using some crying grenades (I can’t remember if those were in Arkham Knight though). Maybe they could have had Batman tether him to the ground, or fight him while he was in the air and flying though buildings
My least favorite hands down was Arkham Knight/red hood. After reading the under the red hood comic or watching the animated film and seeing how formidable Jason actually was with hand to hand combat this fight really let me down, it boils down to hide and get under a gargoyle and grapple up to where he is. By far my least favorite
Fuck I wish Batman Arkham Knight had a deadshot side mission Arkham city had fuck all of a boss battle And so did Arkham origins If they did a sick boss battle where that’s actually worth doing I would actually want to get that game
I liked the cobra fights because of the stealth element with the battank, but yeah for the arkham knight AND deathstroke bossfights to just be against the cobras pissed me off
My favorite battle is the clayface fight in city. And even if I don't like titan joker, I get why they did it. Rocksteady slowly improved their battles, learning from their mistakes, and that was their first test, they tried to make him look cool, be menacing. As I said my favorite battle is vs clayface , but my favorite joker fight is from knight, you can see that they finally hit the jackpot of how to make a joker fight , instead of a physical brawl, a mental showdown. It isn't hard, but it completely fits the character.
I actually found the Cloudburst too overpowered. Not only the firepower of the Cobra tank, but he chases you down right after. And you have to clear 8 other tanks first. It’s just too much hassle with no recharge for later stages. So the first time I did it, I got stuck on it for a week and cursed the car’s lack of flexibility. They talked up how agile the new suit was going to be, then put you in a station wagon.
when I did the cloudburst fight after I got rid of all 4 of the things you need to shoot, I didn’t know you could continue to run away and hide, and I thought it was just like a “uses all his attacks in a last ditch effort” kinda thing and that’s what made the boss fight fun for me was that it was like I have to fight him and not die myself
Meanwhile, I regard the Deathstroke tank battle to be much worse than the Cloudburst tank battle for several reasons, all in Knight's favor: The Cloudburst battle has lots of context, before and after. The Deathstroke battle breaks what little context it has by building up references (thin as those are, and as implausible that Deathstroke has avoided Gotham for 10 years). Whereas the Cloudburst battle is integrally part of the story, set in a visually striking situation, and can be considered to be part of a (somewhat extended) multi-stage boss fight with different types of stages. Also, the Cloudburst battle at least provided a version of the Cobra tank hunt that hadn't been done yet in the game. The Deathstroke battle is practically a copy-paste, with even the same defeat animation (just switching out Deathstroke's model for the Knight's). It was easy to do as a last-minute addition, no doubt, and it's clearly a rushed fix for a pacing hole (so to speak). The Cloudburst fight (or the Ivy finale perhaps) should have been the last major tank battle.
In Arkham City, I thought deadshot would have an actual boss battle, but it’s just you sneaking up to him and pressing a single button. I thought after all the build up he’d have a decent boss fight but no.
I’m just glad that the deathstroke fight in Knight wasn’t just the cloudburst tank again because you could just damage deathstroke’s tank by normal means but with cloudburst you had to sneak up in it and shoot the weak spots.
For arkahm knights deathstroke fight they could've kept most of the tank fight if absolutely necessary but maybe instead of him willingly going inside gcpd maybe he could've gotten out of his restraints somehow and you had to hand to hand fight him like in other games . That could've satisfied fans and they would've been able to keep their tank part. Just my 2 cents though.
When I was up against Deadshot in Arkham Knight, he was really easy to take down and even the Arkham Knight cloudburst boss battle took me some time but Deathstroke didn't even feel like a "boss battle"
I have to disagree with you on Firefly. What Rocksteady did with him was creative: they knew that if they just copy-pasted the Origins boss fight, people would shit on them, so they gave us the best Batmobile chase in the game. Out of all the ways the Batmobile was used, this was my favorite one, because it is a DIFFERENT kind of boss fight with the same boss, even though the bridge boss fight was better.a

Could you imagine what the Deathstroke boss fight in Knight could've been if it was hand-to-hand, and if Rocksteady took advantage of the game's combat, which is the most refined of the series? It would've been insanely great!
There is nothing scarier than whenever you are one hit away from death and the arkham knight's tank comes zooming around the corner
When I saw the thumbnail I was all “Deathstroke worst boss fight?? No way!”

I've played this game a few times. When I fight the cloudburst tank, I unload like crazy on the core. Makes it faster to beat. Just drive backwards, then use the cannon and hold down the machine gun button. Using both also cheeses that battle.
Manny Zozaya lmao it’s all good, that battle needs to be cheesed
I was thinking that after the tank battle with DeathStroke they would have a "hand to hand" section, and then I see Slade lunging at BatMan... I was like "oh yeah" and then "wait what?"!
So was I! I almost refunded the game after that.

Those tank battles give me anxiety. They never end!
Makes me happy to see no Arkham Origins bosses on this list. Just gives me the impression that Rocksteady doesn’t know how to do a good boss fight. Striking lucky gold once with Mr. Freeze in City being their peak.
The Ra's Al Ghul fight in City was fun too
@@Modernww2fare yea I forgot about that one.
When i first fought Jason in the cobra i was terrified lol
Dude, the best boss fight is when you fight Shiva in Origins’ story mode. There’s so much on the line!

@@soulofconflict I can’t remember why I wrote this, but I think I was being sarcastic
That joker one was so fun- even if it didn’t fit him. Punching those criminals into the electric walls was hilarious
The Mad Queen what about the fight with the Goliath ? 🧐
@@Joibuzzr1 Ah, forgot about that one. Yeah I guess it was fine, but it was pretty basic imo.
A fight with a proper martial artist like Deathstroke or a beast like Killer Croc would have been really cool though.
The Mad Queen I’m totally kidding. That fight was cheeks
The Joker Boss Battle in Arkham Asylum is so underrated!
IMO, with a lot of the side missions in Knight, Rocksteady just said "Fuck it" and got lazy.
Never played "Knight" but the Scarecrow chasing and beating him up easily strongly reminds me of Spider-Man PS4 when you do the exact same thing to Shocker. But, Shocker had a badass boss battle!
I'd love to see a video from you two in which you re-write Knight. From story, gameplay changes, boss fights etc. Would be interesting to watch
I wouldn't change anything about the gameplay at all
Tv Tropes has an explanation for why the Deathstroke fight is the way it is by explaining that in the ten years Batman has improved himself and is more then prepared to take down Deathstroke again. This would leave Batman weak enough for Scarecrow to ambush him with his new toxin but finally giving Batman a chance to expose his Joker persona to the gas getting rid of him once and for all.
you know knight bosses are bad when electrocutioner isn‘t even in anyones top 5 but instead all these knight ''bosses‘‘.
Electrocutioner wasn't really a boss battle
Temporary Titan Joker made so much sense for the storyline of Arkham Asylum and was a BADASS design! Of course he was gonna keep “posing” for the cameras to show off - he’s all about theatrics and showmanship.
Before watching, I bet the majority of these, if not all of them are gonna be from Arkham Knight
EDIT: Yepppp, that game seriously dropped the ball on boss fights
Though I'd include Bane's boss fight from Arkham Asylum since it was just a copy/paste of all the Titan boss fights throughout the game
@AnEn Rocksteady dropped the ball so hard with Bane, it's like they forgot that he's a genius on par with Batman, and not just a big dude on steroids
The hand to hand combat was fun but the boss fights were horrible
@AnEn I'm not gonna lie, I thought you called the show bad for a second and I was about to say some stuff.
@AnEn yeah, I like their Killer Croc tho.
Fireflies boss fight in AK was literally just the Apc side missions but with slightly less buttons used.
I absolutely loved knight, but I do agree that it can get really repetitive with the tank battles
Let’s be honest, every single Arkham Knight Boss fight was absolutely atrocious.
Killer Croc was actually pretty good (too bad it was DLC)
Arkham knight boss fight was pretty good
Proffesor pyg?
Professor Pyg was wasn’t that bad and if you include Man Bat he I really liked his battle
The riddler fight was good
The way you can beat the Cloudburst Tank fight quickly is just do what Kwing did and just fire your machine guns at the weak spot!!! That moment in his playthrough was so funny and satisfying at the same time!
I would put in Man-bat
All you do is find him and glide on top of him into a cutscene. Could of been like the man-bat Btas episode where Batman grapples around man-bats leg and has to dodge obstacles that man-bat flys past.
True I mean is it even a boss fight it's seriously hard to tell.
Robinbat Palpatine that would have been pretty cool...
The last 2 could’ve been so fkn cool if they jumped out & started fighting in the streets
Completely agree I'm even fine with some tank implementation but it should have switched to hand to hand at least.
I'm gonna start calling the military grade explosive gel "jello" thanks T
I enjoyed firefly. I thought the visuals of chasing him throughout Gotham city as well as the voice acting and music was insanely entertaining.

Something in Arkham knight about deathstroke boss is that he keeps on taunting you the whole mission and fight
God, Knight was such a disappointment.
The worst fight was the electricutioner! Surprised that didn’t make the list.

1. Titan Joker
2. Hush (Knight)
3. Deadshot (City)
4. Bane (Asylum)
5. Deathstroke (Knight)
When I saw deathstroke in the thumbnail I thought you were going to talk about the fight in Origins and I was about to fight everyone 😂
The arkham knight cloud burst is such a hard and creepy boss battle when I destroy one core my hands freaking shake

Deathstroke battle is better if you arent on easy or normal you have to be on hard just for it to be a bit challenging
I enjoyed Firefly in Origins and Knight but I think it had more to with being excited to see the Arkham version of his character
Tip for Deathstroke, use max level missile barrage after taking out the Cobra, one hit KO
If the cloud burst tank isn't number one this list has made a serious error
It's like with the deathstroke tank battle, somebody saw LEGO making cars for every superhero/villain in everything and said "Give me THAT!!!"
Fight with Deathstroke in Origins is an absolute disasterpiece
Some boss fights are so bad that people memorize it of how bad they are
Firefly in Knight. Firefly “ You beaten me once but that was a long time ago”. Batman “ Get in the trunk of my tank”.
