    Becki, I love how you speak, your delivery, and how you teach. You are absolutely fabulous!!

    “Done is better than perfect” are the truest words ever. Also, I feel like I’ve heard “practice makes progress” for the first time in my life through this channel, and it is sooo much more relatable than the traditional “practice makes perfect”. Thanks for the awesome content ❤️

    BECKIIIII SO PROUD OF YOU! You guys killed it!! Also I feel you about the loneliness of our jobs. I'm also terrible at talking to people. So if you just want to terribly talk to each other I'm ok with that. :)

    You guys are so awesome. So true, hard to find motivation regularly. Especially when you said "You only have yourself to compare yourself to". SO relatable. So cool that you were able to go do that and glad you had a great time!

    Awesome video. I could feel the stress emanating through the monitor which made for a very real and "high-stakes" feeling. Definitely had me on the edge of my seat... then you were speaking and I was all like "Shes nailing this" and I felt better...thanks for the rollercoaster 😉

    • @BeckiandChris

      Dunna Did Thanks my friend!! I may have said “shit” one too many times on stage 😂

      Becki and Chris - considering how many times you said it in this video too, I’m gonna go ahead and say that’s part of you and the people can take it or leave it lol

    Thank you for the positive message. AND, you both were totally natural once you started speaking! 👍

    You did it! And you killed it! I get super nervous, too, but I try to hold on to and remember how good it feels right after I speak or present. Congrats! Here's to many more!

    really appreciated this video, I can relate so much work from home full time too. often go days without seeing anyone except my partner during the evenings. sometimes work from a coffee shop for a few hours ... time to start the channel is now!

  • @mortenolsen1111
    @mortenolsen1111 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Becki, you´re awesome as hell, Chris as well ;) little rhyme for ya. I really find a lot of inspiration in you two, I am currently in a real rough spot in my life and sometimes things just get too much for me. But then I find comfort in TH-cam, which is really something amazing, that you can sit and rejoice over other peoples lives when your own doesn't go the way you want it too. But then when I get out of this dark period, I have taken something from you with me, and then I can hopefully inspire someone else, and then that way pay it forward. So keep up with that super great content you're producing, it really makes a difference, especially for my life. And if it only makes a difference for a single person, it is still worth it, but I know you touch a lot of people with your great personalities. Have a really great day, to everyone who reads this :)

    2 Weeks ago I was a guest speaker at Google NEXT 2018 in London!! I know EXACTLY what you mean. Im used to teaching small groups of people or shouting commands/giving instructions on large parades but not speaking about my work on stage... a whole different experience. Nervous, bricking it, heart racing.. but awesome and would do it again tomorrow. Kudos Becki... you nailed it! :-)

    Thank you very much for sharing Becki! Next time I have to speak up, I'll just think, "If Becki can do it, so can I!" On a different note, I'm curious, you, as a graphic designer (freelancer) working mostly alone, how or what do you do to keep up with what's new in the design world? What do you do to keep growing? Though I have a job that I go to, I'm the only designer there. So I don't get the feedback I would like to receive by having a trained eye taking a second look at my designs. Plus, sometimes I feel like I'm stuck or get too comfortable with a certain look that it feels like I'm just running on the same hamster wheel. Thanks!

      I keep going back to it, even though I think the best compromise I had was in Vancouver, when I literally walked to work being able to be home quickly, didn't have a commute, and saw coworkers.
