The Population/Space equation is a crucial challenge which cannot be quickly overcome. Australia is already home to a considerable number of Asian-Australian citizens and this trend will increase as the 21st century progresses. Rather than trade and military problems; these countries must soon consider mutual cooperation as a means of confronting fundamental environmental issues. Survival of the Human Race appears more urgent than Political outcomes. Personally; I warmly welcome Chinese enrichment of the entire Asian region.
The public insults of China feed an unconscious strain in the Western body politic that could seriously complicate Sino-American, sino-Australian relations: the fear of the “yellow peril.” This fear has surfaced from time to time, contributing to the rise of anti-Asian violence inUSA and Australia.
How much do these speakers really know about China, her history, her culture or even her philosophies. Nobody there seems to talk about China's view about a Win-Win and humanity's common destiny. Isn't that crucial to the well being for middle powers? Australia's stand is ridiculous..she has no foreign policy except the American so she should not be there participating.
Role of India?I'm very pessimistic about India's economy post Covid... The runaway population explosion is not a demographic dividend instead it's a demographic albatross. The second weakness ironically is democracy... you can't reform if you have democracy....look at the farmers protest against the minimum price reforms.
I'm an American and there are good percentages of the population don't buy in to the 2party structure and do not always agree with our government. there are many us who prefer to not to be a super power we just prefer and let an ally take leadership because we are very well aware that many countries do not like us.
Agree on some points, the two party system in the US broken because the politicians on both sides are not working independently and for the people. The politicians follow the will of the companies, special interest groups and the military industrial complex. The US and many more western countries need to realize that interfering with the domestic politics of a sovereign always end badly for the people living there. It’s the US with hundreds of military bases in the world. I think letting an ally clean up the mess is just as bad.
East Asia civilization that includes China, Korea, Vietnam and lesser Japan. All tend to value family, education and hard work. Blame them for their "forced" learning, work and accumulation of assets, they all deserved. What's wrong with all these any way.
It is very unfortunate that a large portion in the chinese community in south east asia will have sympathetic ears towards china due to a variety of reasons: 1. same cultural background 2. same language 3. uneducated on china matters 4. economic gain 5. sense of Chinese pride 6. chinese being discriminated by current leaders (look at Malaysia)
These aussi guy forgot that Australia is geographically in Asia. This is what happened when you play with nature. They come here in Asia invading native Australian people and dares to talk about china which has been with us since the beginning of civilisation.
The Australian participant seems to suggest that the US led rules based world order is the most ideal for Asia as we don't know what rules China will apply when they become the biggest player in the region....but the behavior of the US isn't the most noble after world war 2. The regime change operations to dispose of governments that the US dislikes the endless wars that the US fought the disregard for rules eg exiting the WHO and not recognizing the ICJ the sanctions against countries and corporations that the US dislikes... Of course Australia would prefer a rules based order presided by the US.... being an Anglo Saxon country...and part of the Five Eyes countries they feel safer with big brother America in the region. But many Asian countries don't feel the same as Australia. So Australia as the deputy sheriff of the US in the region does not represent Asia's views.
I think the people of the world are subject to so much of western/colonial/imperialistic teaching (rather subtle propaganda) that even the top academia (of this panel) are unknowingly sprouting western ideology. A cure for this I would venture is to remember the "accident" or "mistake" committed by the bombing of the Chinese embassy in 1999. Even if I believe it was an accident, three journalist still lost their lives. So wouldn't it be prudent to err on the side of not bombing, than the other way around?
Australia's current position is an outcome of a trade war being waged on Australia as a result of Australia expressing its national interests positions in relation to Covid and Belt and Road financial shackles on its immediate neighbours and China's occupation of disputed islands in the South China Sea and the Pacific not to mention human rights, cyber interference and serious\, ongoing and excessive interferences by the CPP to subvert Australian domestic politics and tertiary educational institutions. The fact that these positions do not align with China's is the issue for China. Australia was the first country to recognise China in the 1970's. It has been a partner of China's for the last 40 years for enormous mutual benefit and it had a strong relationship with China until Xi demanded Australia cowtow . Australia has long term shared interests with the US and fought 2 world Wars in the 20th Century as an ally. That has not changed. The change has been on the part of CHina who does not respect Australia's right to have its own independent foreign policy.
national interests...one would have thought sustaining your economy would be fairly high on the list...as i see it from afar, there are elements of the aussie government that are pushing their own agenda...these people are out of control and i think extremly dangerous to you...australia is bloated with chinese money, in sydney i hear average house price more than 1 million...talk about exposed...do you think president murdock cares
Although what God prophesies is what He has accomplished, the actual kingdom has not yet fully arrived on the earth. Instead, as humanity changes, as the work progresses, and as lightning comes out of the East-that is, as God’s word deepens-the kingdom will slowly come about on earth, gradually but completely descending upon this world. The process of the coming of the kingdom is also the process of the divine work on earth. Meanwhile, throughout the universe, God has begun a work that has not been done in all the ages throughout history: to reorganize the earth in its entirety. For example, tremendous changes are afoot throughout the universe, including changes in the State of Israel, the coup d’état in the United States of America, the changes in Egypt, the changes in the Soviet Union, and the overthrow of China. Once the entire universe has settled down and been restored to normal, God’s work on earth will be completed; that is when the kingdom will come to earth. This is the true meaning of the words, “When all the nations of the world are disrupted, that is precisely when My kingdom will be established and shaped, as well as when I will transform and turn to face the entire universe.” Excerpt from the link
After the foundation of the world, the first stage of God’s work was carried out in Israel, and thus Israel was the birthplace of God’s work on earth, and the base of God’s work on earth. The scope of Jesus’ work covered the whole of Judea. During His work, very few of those outside of Judea knew of it, for He did not do any work beyond Judea. Today, God’s work has been brought to China, and it is carried out purely within this scope. During this phase, no work is launched outside of China; its spread beyond China is work that will come later. This stage of work follows on from the stage of Jesus’ work. Jesus did the work of redemption, and this stage is the work that follows on from that work; the work of redemption has been completed, and in this stage there is no need for conception by the Holy Spirit, because this stage of work is unlike the last stage, and, moreover, because China is unlike Israel. Jesus did one stage of the work of redemption. Man beheld Jesus, and not long after, His work began to spread to the Gentiles. Today, there are many who believe in God in America, the UK and Russia, so why are there fewer people who believe in China? Because China is the most closed nation. As such, China was the last to accept the way of God, and even now it has been less than a hundred years since it did-much later than America and the UK. The last stage of God’s work is carried out in the land of China in order to bring His work to an end, and in order that all His work may be accomplished. The people in Israel all called Jehovah their Lord. At the time, they considered Him the head of their family, and the whole of Israel became a great family in which everyone worshiped their Lord Jehovah. The Spirit of Jehovah often appeared to them, and He spoke and uttered His voice to them, and used a pillar of cloud and sound to guide their lives. At that time, the Spirit provided His guidance in Israel directly, speaking and uttering His voice to the people, and they beheld the clouds and heard the peals of thunder, and in this way He guided their lives for several thousands of years. Thus, only the people of Israel have always worshiped Jehovah. They believe that Jehovah is their God, and that He is not the God of the Gentiles. This is not surprising: Jehovah, after all, had worked among them for close to four thousand years. In the land of China, after thousands of years of lethargic slumber, only now have the degenerates come to know that the heavens and earth and all things were not formed naturally, but made by the Creator. Because this gospel has come from abroad, those feudal, reactionary minds believe that all those who accept this gospel are treacherous, they are the curs who have betrayed the Buddha, their ancestor. Moreover, many of these feudal minds ask, “How can Chinese people believe in the God of foreigners? Are they not betraying their ancestors? Are they not committing evil?” Today, people have long since forgotten that Jehovah is their God. They have long since pushed the Creator to the back of their minds, and they instead believe in evolution, meaning that man evolved from apes, and that the natural world came about as a matter of course. All the good food enjoyed by mankind is provided by nature, there is order to the life and death of man, and there does not exist a God who rules over it all. Moreover, there are many atheists who believe that God ruling over everything is superstition and is not scientific. But can science replace the work of God? Can science rule over mankind? Preaching the gospel in a country ruled by atheism is no easy task, and it involves great obstacles. Today, are there not many who oppose God in this way? Excerpt from the link

This seems to me a fishy discussion, putting China on the defensive or ..'ahem'..restrain. Lky wouldn't think it's right.
Wow awesome content to upload for free thanks guys
Singapore is a middle power? are you kidding?
That Australian guy is really hard to listen to. The hypocrisy of many of his statements is hard to swallow.
I have confident with our Singapore government. The lady is like giving a lecture,
Should invite real thinkers like Kishore rather than parroting from the positions of the bosses.
there is so much of the narrative by Dupont that is objectionable ... LKY would be turning in his grave over this kind of analysis.
Let me guess, everyone agreed not to mention Taiwan?
God bless China 🇨🇳✊✊✊✊✊
CoOl ViD..! 👍
Australia started it and now cries over their own F. U.
The Lesson for Australia is to diversify its exports away from China and become less dependant.
US: we set standards for behavior, but not us the US exceptionalism.
China: let's settle everything on UN standards, globalization.

The days of new Babylonian regime changing like on Iran are already over.
East Asia civilization that includes China, Korea, Vietnam and lesser Japan. All tend to value family, education and hard work.
Blame them for their "forced" learning, work and accumulation of assets, they all deserved.
What's wrong with all these any way.
Its INDO PACIFIC
ASIA PACIFIC
"INDO"🕉️INDO PACIFIC
It is very unfortunate that a large portion in the chinese community in south east asia will have sympathetic ears towards china due to a variety of reasons: 1. same cultural background 2. same language 3. uneducated on china matters 4. economic gain 5. sense of Chinese pride 6. chinese being discriminated by current leaders (look at Malaysia)
These two Chinese act moderately allowing bias aggressive Alan to channel conversation into anti-china.

This is the true meaning of the words, “When all the nations of the world are disrupted, that is precisely when My kingdom will be established and shaped, as well as when I will transform and turn to face the entire universe.”
