There is something so earthy and majestic and ancient seeing bison run freely in their native environment. It always touches my soul and gives me goose bumps. There is a large herd nearby in Northern Michigan and I have to look driving down the road to see if they are in the front pasture. Excited when they are and disappointed when they aren’t. Epic majestic music fits so well. Thank you sooooo much.
They're playing like puppies in the snow. Really BIG puppies!
Big Joe and the rest are just feeling their oats so to speak because of the cold feels good weather, my horses used to do the same thing! It's hilarious to watch, please keep up the great videos!!!
I lived in Oklahoma until I was 37 and I can't remember how many times it snowed and a day later it was mostly gone. 25 degrees one day and the next is 45 or 50. Your bison are awesome, Dusty. Big Joe is magnificent at a full gallop. It was great footage.

Nothing beats watching an animal play in the snow. But to watch Bison takes it up to a whole other level, there like a Great Pyrenees who can handle the summer but when it’s cold out it brings out a whole other side of playfulness and smiles

Tonight in Saskatoon, it's going colder than -22C or to you -7.6F and might hit -30 or more even. If it does, -30 skin freezes solid in seconds, water freezes in the air. Yeah, and we don't close our schools either.

This is probably your best video ever. It’s amazing watching these large animals mow about so quickly. Imagine what it must have been like about two hundred years ago watching millions of them crossing the plains it must have been awesome. Thank you Dusty for helping to raise interest in these beautiful animals. Strange to say I discovered a few months back one of my old toy animals a male bison. Needless to say I have named him Big Joe and he now sits on my mantelpiece.

In looking at why whitetails are so much smaller in Alabama than they are in Wisconsin I stumbled a a law in th we size a grazing animals relating to how far they are from the equator. The further north they are the larger they get to survive the harsher winters. Wonder about that effect on the size of your herd long term versus those further north.
