Happy, happy, Bison! They are in their element and having a great time. Really good looking animals, strong and majestic. Nothing but respect for these awesome creatures.
Nature built them for the plains and all it's extremes , with enough feed they will OK.

I feel that sacredness too and I’m not native, to my knowledge .I had a dream a long time ago about a bison bull.....it has stayed with me, I remember it like it was yesterday...the feel of his hot breath , the wooly , greasy texture of the hair.....most realistic dream I have ever had.
I can’t imagine the courage it took to hunt these huge fearsome animal with just a bow and maybe a horse.
That head of hair on Dunbar and especially Big Joe makes me laugh every time. 🤣. And those chin chimes. Oh my goodness. Such a fun video!

I don’t know what it is about bison but I am loving them. They are majestic, powerful and child like especially in the snow. Yet if I were near one even being impossible because they are dangerous and unpredictable I just feel like I would love to hug one.

I saw on some TH-cam channel people brought livestock in the house. Sorry but I’m not cleaning chicken poop in my house nor horse poop. My horse have a thick fur coat and a shelter. I gave them plenty of hay and they did great so did my chickens and cats.
People forget the act of eating hay keeps them warm. Not needing high hot feed, hay works well. Used to throw hay and more hay to my and mare and steam roiled off her at -5*. Not extra grain, just lots of grass hay and she was plenty warm.

Could you use a birdbath de-icer in the water troths? They are about 50W and good to -20F. Fun to see the bison romp in the snow. They are the punk rockers of herd animals.
They seem to be real clowns. If they were dogs, they would be Boxers!

Yeah, I feel for you guys who are not used to the cold and snow. I live in Santa Fe, NM and we get snow and cold most years. 7500 ft. elevation. I love to see the bison run in the snow. Beautiful. :)

WOW !! I had just walked into the next room, when that wonderful music came on and I came back really fast. I LOVED IT! And then there was the Majestic Big Joe romping around in the snow, using his HUGE head to tunnel through. The one shot of him covered in snow ... a huge beautiful SNOW creature. No wonder your dog was barking, she was thing: Just WHAT has Dad brought home now??? You could print off that picture and lots of us would love to buy it! No wonder that you love the Bison so much!!

Dusty, praying your mom didn't hurt herself badly. Here in Northern Wisconsin, we haven't had a bad winter. I know the bison love that type of weather. Have a good week. I think it's supposed to be much warmer down there in Oklahoma.

Oh these babies just love this weather...love the pics. They act like kids off from school with a snow day. Flo is such a sweetheart.... I found myself in Houston in an RV....no heat and no water...tough time for all.
Dusty, it was pure joy to watch the bison romp in the snow. Your right, it did look like they were performing a ritual. I have lived in Colorado all of my life and spent a few years living in the mountains. One time while living in the mountains we got 2 feet of snow and I had to drive back to Denver. Since I lived at the bottom of one of the 14ers (peaks) the snow drove the elk down the mountain into the small town I lived in. There were so many elk, over 150 of them, that it took forever to go 15 miles because they were standing in the road. I didn't mind because it was a beautiful site to see them up close like that, especially the bulls. Since we have such a dry climate, the temperature will be around zero and you don't feel the cold unless the wind is blowing. Since you have humidity, it is miserable under 40 degrees. I'll take the dry climate. Lots of men wear cargo shorts year-round here, even while it's snowing. Thank you so much for all the videos you do. The bison has always been special to me, so majestic. You show so much love for all of them and they have a beautiful home there. Keep up the good work and God bless.

That's so adorable how they love to play in the snow. When u don't get to see it that much like Daniel Arm's and Kevin hidden heights farm say that it doesn't get much or any snow in the area's u guy's live plus dutch from keeping it up. Except for this year with all the snow. Which I live in Minnesota and there are a few Areas where there are buffalo here.
It was warmer in NY State where I live when you went through your arctic blast. We are used to it here in the north and glad it didnt last too long for you spoiled people, lol. I should have moved south in 1992.

Loved the beginning with the music and the bison running. Do you have another job that they help you a lot? We live in north central Minnesota and there is a very large bison farm about 10 miles from us.
You are right to keep your eyes on them. The bison do not have the thick hair growth of those living wild in the plains and also are not as rugged! All yours are domestic bred and lived on different diets as their ancestors. All that makes a somewhat different animal where their health is concerned but no doubt they are tough and don't mind an occasional snow storm. They seem t love it. Beautiful animals!.
I wish you could put out more then one video a week, I love what you are doing with the bison 🦬. It funny how you can hear the jiggle of the frozen beard over the side by side.
