Thanks for this video man, helped me out a lot on my install. Especially Alex’s tip on just putting the wires in the pig tails. I did not want to cut wires. 👍🏼
Thnx, just did mines! The second one was easier than the 1st of course. Smh gotta make sure you have enough slack in the wires so when you connect they don't slip out
I'm hust wondering after you stick the wires into the pigtails thingamajigers do the wires hold, is there some kind of locking mechanism i have mine wanna install right now
Bout to do these as my first mod. Also found some aftermarket reps of the updated front foglight garnish that I might try. Couldnt find the rears for the sedan.
Wait, how did you plug the socket back in 5:47, if you just plugged the wire directly to the harness (no splicing/TTap)? Won't the thickness of the wires prevent you from plugging it back into the socket? Or you'll damage the LED reflector wires, trying to plug the harness back?
hi guys i live out here in canada, and my mechanic warned me that i should not install the rear bumper sequential lights because of the snow and salt hitting those areas, causing electrical and corrosion issues. any one has any thoughts or feedback on the validity of this claim? thanks
Bro I just ordered mine on Amazon just now. Coming in tomorrow. Can't wait. The wiring on the video wasn't super specific. So my question is the wires that go from the lights to the tail light pigtails. You just stick the wires accordingly into the pig tails then just clip the other part back together? No splicing or cutting into the original wiring at all?
hey man, I installed mine today using your video and it was a great help, I was wondering I ran into some problems after I installed which now my SYSTEM BREAKS and some other lights turning on and when I try to drive the car it won't let me shift to any gear(yet the car is On working fine)
That’s odd, disconnect the negative terminal from the battery for a couple minutes then reconnect it. Go for a 10 min drive then turn the car off and on and see if that helps
I’m back did all that battery removing therm I already but didn’t work it was just a the stoping light fuse had gone bad switched it all my problems gone and car looking nice !
This video is really helpful! I'm trying to do this to my civic as well. Are the two screws easy to find? I can't find the screws anywhere along the backside of where the reflector is
Hey, big fan of your videos! How did you do this without splicing. You make it seem like there are naked ports on these connectors you can just jack the wires into. Is that all? No quick splicers necessary? Cause all the vids I've watched they're using quick splicers.
how has the wiring hold up since you didn't splice into the actual wires of the harness? Im about to set up mine and I wanted to see if this a pretty secure/easier method to doing things lol
Just installed mine and my running rear lights don't work. The blinker and the brake lights work but nothing will allow the running taillights to turn on. And now my front side marker lights aren't working 😢
Hey man great videos first off. I just bought a new civic and wanted to know where a good shop is in the GTA to install the mods especially shocks/springs
Have to remove the whole bumper to remove the honeycomb garnish there is a hidden screw that the garnish is attached to the bumper and the only way to remove the garnish is to remove the whole rear bumper
I have a 2013 civic si and i recently installed the led reflectors and they work but only when i come to a stop and use my turn signals. There is a problem to that which is my tail lights. My tail lights aren’t on at night and i had people flash at me from behind since my tail lights are out. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
Recommend to change the rear bulbs to LED too. basically i changed all the rear bulbs to LED(signal, brake and reverse). Its much brighter and the signals goes off and on and does not fade like the filament bulbs
I didn’t get these exact lights, but some other brand from amazon. The apparently kept blowing fuses in my civic so I had to get my car serviced. Anyone know anything that might help?
Are you just gonna stick in the wire into the pig tails (wiring hole)? If so, how long the wire holds with your everyday driving? Is there any locking mechanism to hold the wire so it won't fall off?
@@zmohp.2060 I did mine the same way, it was hard to push them down to lock them in. After a week of driving, one of my turn signlas stopped functioning. Not sure why. This method is easier than splicing but i myself ran into a problem.
I spent hours trying to figure this out. strip them back about a 1/4 inch each and when you plug them in, it won’t be as thick so it’ll prevent them from breaking and or falling out of the hole.
Thanks for this video man, helped me out a lot on my install. Especially Alex’s tip on just putting the wires in the pig tails. I did not want to cut wires. 👍🏼
These looks amazing should have came from the factory like this!
Thnx, just did mines! The second one was easier than the 1st of course. Smh gotta make sure you have enough slack in the wires so when you connect they don't slip out

Very helpful video. Mine just arrived and I can't wait to install.
Thanks for watching!
How it is after one year? Any problems with it?
Can't wait for that ABS dynamics diffuser! I'm becoming a little impatient to get mine😬
JOVTECXTV I missed the first launch of it. I have to wait until it’s restocked
For the 2020 model there is no need to remove the screws. Just take the pannel of and it's open

You have to trim enough of the plastic around the wire to clear. It’s a snug fit but it works great
Is there a way to test the reflector before installing just to make sure the reflector actually works.
Wait..sooo...he didn't splice into any wires...? And just shoved the wires into the connectors? And they won't disconnect? Did I miss something? 😳
I was wondering the same thing lol
Hey do you have to connect all the wires for it to work? I tried connecting 1 wire to see if it worked and nothing happened.
Would you recommend installing these if you plan on getting some taillights later on
They look good. I'm going to get them. How hard was it 1 to 10?
Looks real sharp man..well done.
Thank you!!
Question, if you add them to the pigtail the way shown on the video, doesnt that interfere with the pigtail fitting into the tailight?
Did you ever get an answer anywhere else?

they look good, tsh sharing this step.

Hi Chris are those still working? Because I heard that they could not last to long.

Will this fit on the EX hatchback? I love the sequential look
It will fit as long as it’s the same style light
Very nice
Will this void the warranty?
Nice I order some right now.
U are my motivation bro
Really appreciate it! Thank you!!
So you just leave those wires in there and plug it like that they don’t get torn or in the way?
daniel cordoba yea as long as you trim enough of the plastic you’ll be ok just make sure to double check before re installing it
Chris Lowpes And by plastics you mean the insulation around the wire right? Just making sure don’t want to do anything stupid 😂

Yes I believe companies make them
Suma Performance makes a set , at least for the hatchback…

Hey Chris, wondering if you know how to take off the reflector from back panel for 2020 hatchback? I’m having hard time, pls n ty
I’m pretty sure the steps are similar but you have additional screws to remove. I’ve seen someone do it on TH-cam so try searching up to confirm!

Does this fit the civic si coupe? It doesn’t look like it would but on eBay it is saying it will?
Definitely won’t fit. Been hunting for a coupe version but no luck. Been seeing there’s way more mods for sedan/hatchback than coupe
Any damage on the paint when you pry open the vents?
I personally had a little mark but nothing major
Ugggh so I installed these, the left one works, the right one comes on but doesn’t brake or turn signal, gonna have to return and try again lol
