If you must cross the woods again, you plan some precautions. If you deem it too risky, you don't. Here, there's not the pain of the constant fear generated by thought, which is often so engrained that we're not conscious of it anymore
Fear is a product of ignorance which has no boundaries if you are not aware of what it means to, ignore it or dismiss its presence self awarenes is a veey strond tool which can purge your fears from your emotions, by facing your inner mind and creations of a python substance that has been made a reality through loneliness and being mis understood through self neglect and uncertainties of your life..
Thought is the creator of fear. The moment you observe fear without analysing it, Fear disappears. Don't act, don't react. Just observe. In the these are just thoughts turning into emotions.
Fear can never be put away, period. Every mind has fears in various degres as per natural design. There's plenty of examples to claim this to be true, because we fear disease we tend to follow healthy lifestyle. Fear is a mere feelings or emotions that we feel in our body and it triggers fearful thoughts that is a part of our mind and body which is here for a reason which acts as a survival mechanism. All animals, birds, insects, humans have fears. A bird or an animal always needs fear to survive and for safety reasons including human beings. Just Try to eliminate fear permanently sooner or later you'll realise its impossible. 😊
With respect, the jesuits said over 400 years ago give me the child and I will have him for life.? The deep rooted conditioning in the common man is so so so deep....
Fear is like a tree with many branches. There are innumerable particular fears. The root of the tree of fear is the idea of Living without the I, the me, the self, the thinker, the mind, the psyche, the consciousness.
Everytime fear is observed without the observer it just vanishes. But it also comes back after it's not observed anymore. Maybe the fear is just deep rooted and needs to be observed until it vanishes completely
Fear means you need to go further and press forward, not run away. You don't become strong by being a coward. It takes an additional and almost inhuman level of strength to do this when that fear lies within us, when we are what we're afraid of
I would like to share something that I have understood, just now, about what Krishnamurti reminded us so much: 《It is only possible to put an end to thought, to time, right now; and when thought ends, truth comes to the surface, love comes to the surface》. Concretely, and precisely, what has been shown is the deception to which we are subjected by the past, by established ideas, which prevent us from penetrating the truth that lies behind Krishnamurti's words. The systems of thought accumulated over millennia, which act when that sentence is read, make us see it in this way: 《You can only end thought today, and not tomorrow, if you procrastinate, you will never get it; then, from that moment on, love, truth, will finally come into your life, and thought will never bother you again》. That is the reading of common logic, the voice of our frenetic living, it is a fact that this is how we see it. The mere fact of communicating that phrase to someone, transfers that spatio-temporal substance, the reward-punishment, obviously because that is how conditioning is perpetuated. A tangential look, devoid of established values and canons, reveals to us the true -and completely new- meaning of Krishnamurti's quote: 《True thought is born now and also dies now; the now is the timeless, it is eternal, therefore, "ending thought" is not an accomplished goal, not a milestone to be reached at a certain point within the timeline, but a continuous and eternal movement of creation and death of thought-forms within the limitless sphere of the now. Love, truth, is just that eternal cycle of life and death, perfectly synchronized with the movement of thought (the divisive movement of thought ceases to have any relevance). Such thinking, synchronized with love, is thinking taking its place, so that each form is always new and fresh, is creative, therefore, does not harbor the slightest trace of subjugation, fear or suffering. Thinking divorced from love, thinking that does not die now, is a prison of eternal search for "love", is a pit of suffering; thinking amalgamated with love, simply is love, brings the experience of the immeasurable》.😊
See its like they get you to agree on things like about the self because in a way it makes sense so because they ask all these tricky questions they make you believe you are really agreeing with them and they are right. When in reality you cant make heads or tails of it or even if you see where they are coming from, you dont feel the same way they do.
To me not only fear most of the issues in life could be over come by applying this ... everything just a Thought.... Life living, death... reincarnation.. just a fraction of thought....
Okay but if these things are real and will happen, then does it make it not real? For example if you are scared of death and then realize its just a thought that is making you scared, it doesn't take away the fact death is real and will happen. So I don't see how the fear will go away just by observing it.
With Krishnamurti, interviews didn’t work at all. Usually the interviewer and the interviewee (Krishnamurti) totally were at different levels. Krishnamurti was better left to speak alone.
Why you fear fear so much? I love to feel fear and suffering, thus i cannot feel fear and suffering anymore. It's so funny, to see the pursuit to end suffering, to achieve happiness, all a big joke, hahaha. This is all bullshit. Enlightment, spirituality... bullshit. Just live your life, yeah, that's right, keep the pursuit. It's a paradox.
Fear can be produced by association of others who inject a manipulation to the empathetic person who intentions are to give or treat a person with moral respect and care, which leaves you vulnerable to someone who is evil and stoic in their minds
It is not as simple as you said.Thoughts are not rooms,so i go to one and then to another. You first must understand why do you have negative thoughts and accept it,not trying to ignore it and think positive,it is immposible in long terms.
Can the mind observe(without using intelligence or an analysis) the movement of fear without the thought which has created the OBSERVER? Observer is the thinker.. the thinker is the THOUGHT himself( in that sense). More than the element of FEAR, THOUGHT is more responsible for creation of the fear. There is interference of thought more than the very fear itself. When the THOUGHT understand itself obstain to project itself, there is no movement of thought and FEAR will be eliminated without the wings and substance of thought.
So to try and simplify it a bit. What you're saying is that the "thought" may occur but it's the "over thinking and Analyzing" of that original thought that causes it to become a "fear". It's when we attach to the original thought all our judgements and past experiences /beliefs....that the thought itself begins to mobilize and become a fear. Instead if we just observed it for what it is and didn't judge or analyze the thought .......it disappears Right ?
Fear is necessary emotion, without fear you might walk over the edge of a cliff and fall to your death. Without fear you might put your hand in the fire, without fear you might walk up to a lion, without fear you migt drive your car too fast and die, fear serves a purpose. We can overcome fear with faith. When we learn to trust a power that is truly good we place our faith in the higher power we can release our fears. Without fear we no longer are tormented and can live free, free from fear, free from torment. We can then live rested and at peace, free from the burden that fear brings. Fear often leds us to failure, faith is the path to success.
Hello! I read your comment and I think he may have meant something else than your conclusion. While he was talking about"fear" before lions, he is saying that you running away is not because of fear but because of our survival instinct( fear is not the survival instinct, an instinct is something you do automaticaly without thinking. ) fear is created in our thought, so you need to be thinking to be fearfull. I hope you can understand my explanation.
Communication is complicated. Not everyone receives information the same way. Have you tried using the subtitles and reading what he's saying? Honestly, that helps me a lot because he is often very abstract and going into some pretty deep, layered concepts.
It has been described as the "oceanic experience" where the one observing or experiencing events, is in a state where they no longer feel separate from the event or object(s). An absence of discrimination and the presence of unity. It has been postulated that babies are naturally in this state. Certain kinds of substances (mushrooms etc) are also said to offer a "shortcut" to this realisation.
Also when you ask how - you are looking for a method/technique, something which you repeat and then you have the result that is mechanical you are cultivating something you don't have for example you can't cultivate love you either love or you simply don't.
You can observe and you are the observer. The problem arises when we superimpose descriptions upon the observer. Let's say I observe a thought that tells me I'm a proud Hindu because that's what my family told me. Am I now an observer observing thoughts or am I proud Hindu observing thoughts? If I take it as truth that I'm proud Hindu, now my ability to observe is diminished because I have to defend that identity. My energy is now diverted from the task at hand because I ran with a thought rather than letting it pass me by.
Why "fear" comes at 1st place or as Sir has said why the mind recognises something as "fearful" or threatened...? Every thought is just plain straight out facts born out of the same intelligence operating behind but how some thoughts are pleasurable than others? As our mind derives a sense of identity from the context of those thoughts-- some thoughts add onto that identity and some thoughts deplete or loosen that sense of self identity...but ultimately that identity derives from the context of thoughts are illusion__as we are that "intelligence"_out of which thoughts arise not the outcome of that context of thoughts.
To express your body feelings in English is hard, isn't it? Or is this only my English issue? An American person is very patiently trying to sense what J.K is talking.
Maybe Look from where I found. in this tree you may see more from this angle and variation in height . When we hear him and few others alike , we do what we’re taught to do and everyone is still doing it this way . We hear intellectually what he is speaking , and we ( in fact ) our brain does what we were taught, it imagines it , creates an idea . So it’s us - the idea- and the actual thing being described- That is what is . our mind has been allowed by us to do that with everything . Also at the same time - ( what is - ) is we want that thing. We don’t know it , have not seen it , but we THINK we want IT. And then we want SOMEONE ( HIM in this case )to ( DO The work FOR US )TELL US HOW TO DO IT .If one watches himself he will see that above is all a fact . Now after you are looking at all that , can you feel what nature instilled in you the intelligence is there if you stop talking to yourself now , you will look at it and feel the incorrect action , the selfishness of you wanting it and wanting to be told how to get it , and YOU wanting to be separate and be YOU. Nature thought threw every detail The thinking it must taken to create me from my father he had no choice to not love women In cardiovascular manner. She drives us , she has some plan I don’t know it , but I know when WE THINK WE HAVE A CHOICE , and especially a choice to think we’re able to do what we want , she thought that thru too , she knew we would do that , and she gives you what ? This “knowing “ that it OFF , everything is small , we can see it feel no depth . And we keep trying to find IT . Here we are aren’t we . This IM CERTAIN of , this - before I forget WHAT WAS ACTUAL IS we all replied with -their - you - me - all saying what we think about all what WE THINK -it’s not good or bad right or wrong , it is that’s all , BUT WATCH WHAT IT DOES , you will not want it again. - listen again please TO HIS FIRST POINT HE ADRESSES. -So , we want OUR OPINION , we are trying to get something from our opinions - to be right ? Smarter than others ? It’s not bad or good wrong or right- it is a fact and it will give you only what it produces it is the same everytime that is the nature of desire and that’s her answer - WE WANT TO NOT LET GO AND JUMP WITHOUT KNOWING WERE WERE LANDING. What is … She requires we jump no other options . Good luck I hope you see you you’ll see how ridiculously simple it was all along just as he describes .
I don't know why Krishnamurti is using such difficult 'phrasing' when looking at fear. Maybe it's because people have a too analytical mind? I would use more easy to understand wording and make a lot of examples (he also gives many) to make it, imo, easier to understand for the average person, maybe? Where does fear come from? Our thoughts create it; only our own thoughts create it. So how can we live without fear? What kind of thoughts create fear? Isn't it our expectations? We expect life to be a certain way? Expect people to act towards us a certain way etc.? And if that doesn't happen we get angry and are fearful if it doesn't go the way we want? So it's our mind having expectations on life and fighting life if things don't go a certain way, even though life is constantly changing and expecting it to not change is ridiculous. So if we see that this kind of thinking is ruining our lives, creating fear, anger, insecurities, envy etc., which is all tremendous suffering, and we really want to live a life without it, then we will automatically stop living with expectations (it doesn't mean we will not try to do the things we enjoy in life, but we will always understand and be aware that no matter how much we try, things will and can always not go the way we would like to and therefore never be upset or disappointed).
He says when someone threatens you to put in prison then such fear is ok as it is self protective. So does it mean fearing governments and authority are all ok?
Yes physically fear is completely okk for example fear of animal that's ok but psychological fears like what will happen if i lose my job what will happen tomorrow these fears are created by thought
He spent hours and hours conversing with him, and sometimes we all find JK a bit abstract. He's human. It's OK that he was struggling with this concept.
He says absence of thought during fear, fear goes away. He himself told, thought is fear. Is he telling don't fear, just observe fear, so it goes away? Wy he has to tell this much for that.?
Fear also comes from the subconscious mind, how do do stop the subconscious mind, there is way to change our reactions, it must happen to the subconscious mind, it can be reprogrammed.

Stay alone some time and mind become very quiet and peaceful and we are free from fear
Thank you thank you thank you 🙏💚
Just an illusion that can manifest into a reality, depending on how vulnerable you are to its self creation and manipulation of your own mind
Thought is the creator of fear.
The moment you observe fear without analysing it,
Fear disappears.
Very informative! Thanks for sharing 👏
With respect, the jesuits said over 400 years ago give me the child and I will have him for life.? The deep rooted conditioning in the common man is so so so deep....
It is said that fear is the opposite of love to observe through a dualistic perspective
Fear is like a tree with many branches. There are innumerable particular fears. The root of the tree of fear is the idea of Living without the I, the me, the self, the thinker, the mind, the psyche, the consciousness.
Layman explanation if I ever saw one
Everytime fear is observed without the observer it just vanishes. But it also comes back after it's not observed anymore. Maybe the fear is just deep rooted and needs to be observed until it vanishes completely
great mind!
Fear means you need to go further and press forward, not run away.
You don't become strong by being a coward. It takes an additional and almost inhuman level of strength to do this when that fear lies within us, when we are what we're afraid of
Sometimes fear is also instinct guiding you away from harm. I've experienced that a few times in my life.
Very clever thank you !!
I would like to share something that I have understood, just now, about what Krishnamurti reminded us so much:
《It is only possible to put an end to thought, to time, right now; and when thought ends, truth comes to the surface, love comes to the surface》.
Concretely, and precisely, what has been shown is the deception to which we are subjected by the past, by established ideas, which prevent us from penetrating the truth that lies behind Krishnamurti's words.
The systems of thought accumulated over millennia, which act when that sentence is read, make us see it in this way:
《You can only end thought today, and not tomorrow, if you procrastinate, you will never get it; then, from that moment on, love, truth, will finally come into your life, and thought will never bother you again》.
That is the reading of common logic, the voice of our frenetic living, it is a fact that this is how we see it. The mere fact of communicating that phrase to someone, transfers that spatio-temporal substance, the reward-punishment, obviously because that is how conditioning is perpetuated.
A tangential look, devoid of established values and canons, reveals to us the true -and completely new- meaning of Krishnamurti's quote:
《True thought is born now and also dies now; the now is the timeless, it is eternal, therefore, "ending thought" is not an accomplished goal, not a milestone to be reached at a certain point within the timeline, but a continuous and eternal movement of creation and death of thought-forms within the limitless sphere of the now.
Emptiness to see. Yo see the surroundings as they are
Our thoughts is a illusion play's treak to our mind.
To me not only fear most of the issues in life could be over come by applying this ... everything just a Thought.... Life living, death... reincarnation.. just a fraction of thought....
How is it healing?
Okay but if these things are real and will happen, then does it make it not real? For example if you are scared of death and then realize its just a thought that is making you scared, it doesn't take away the fact death is real and will happen. So I don't see how the fear will go away just by observing it.
With Krishnamurti, interviews didn’t work at all. Usually the interviewer and the interviewee (Krishnamurti) totally were at different levels. Krishnamurti was better left to speak alone.
David Bohm is good though

Fear can cease to arise. 🙏
Yeah but it still exists

Fear can be produced by association of others who inject a manipulation to the empathetic person who intentions are to give or treat a person with moral respect and care, which leaves you vulnerable to someone who is evil and stoic in their minds
Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results.
Childish
Instead if we just observed it for what it is and didn't judge or analyze the thought .......it disappears
Right ?
Painful to see how Mr. Anderson doesn't follow but needs to keep in conversation.
See the full conversation, you will not say the same
So you follow everything everyone ever says to you in conversation, do you? And when you don't, you just stop participating?
Finally!
Agree, his silence rather than interruptions would be welcome. But in all fairness, I think few people can match K in his depth of understanding.
All Psychologists need to understand the JK insights first before the practice.
Is it true for all other emotions, as for fear...

I have tried and tried but I never understand anything what this great man says.
Communication is complicated. Not everyone receives information the same way. Have you tried using the subtitles and reading what he's saying? Honestly, that helps me a lot because he is often very abstract and going into some pretty deep, layered concepts.

But what does observing without thought exactly means? 07:30 How can it be possible to observe something without an observer (thought)?
It has been described as the "oceanic experience" where the one observing or experiencing events, is in a state where they no longer feel separate from the event or object(s). An absence of discrimination and the presence of unity. It has been postulated that babies are naturally in this state. Certain kinds of substances (mushrooms etc) are also said to offer a "shortcut" to this realisation.
It is a process that cannot be explained with words. Through the process of meditation this is possible.
I guess when you observe actually observe there is no thought, there is no observer there is only the thing that is observed
As formless energy
Blunt rotation without the blunt
If thought, time and movement are the causes of fear then why a new born baby is fearful of any high sound,, high light,, high touch?
But the thought (cause of fear) maynot be conscious, right?
Why "fear" comes at 1st place or as Sir has said why the mind recognises something as "fearful" or threatened...?
Every thought is just plain straight out facts born out of the same intelligence operating behind but how some thoughts are pleasurable than others?
As our mind derives a sense of identity from the context of those thoughts-- some thoughts add onto that identity and some thoughts deplete or loosen that sense of self identity...but ultimately that identity derives from the context of thoughts are illusion__as we are that "intelligence"_out of which thoughts arise not the outcome of that context of thoughts.

@@chaocolide that's her personality type.
What is …
She requires we jump no other options .
It is not fear sir
Fear as natural consequences of intelligence.. vs fear/worry as product of thought..
He didn't said "ok" he said it's natural
Yes physically fear is completely okk for example fear of animal that's ok but psychological fears like what will happen if i lose my job what will happen tomorrow these fears are created by thought
The interviewer not get it at all
He spent hours and hours conversing with him, and sometimes we all find JK a bit abstract.
Terrible interviewer
