    Had a guy go on a tantrum and go after my mortar. I think he must have actually damaged the shell inside because the mortar exploded after a couple of hits with a stun baton.
    I then got a reminder of why you don't store mortar shells next to something that can explode, as the tall shelf full of HE shells cooked off.
    The person I had coming to stop him got his jaw and both arms ripped off while the tantrumee was completely vaporized...

    I agree on most of these, but I'm going to disagree on the drugs. Maybe it's just because of personal hang ups, but I absolutely hate addiction. I hate my pawns being addicted, it really bothers me.
    Social drug binge isn't so bad, I'd put it at B because there's a very low chance of becoming addicted, but hard drug binge is an F for me.

      Not worth making anything for a permanent drunk or high pawn who is never capable of decent work.

  • @Tamizushi
    @Tamizushi ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think my tier list would be very different. That's because I like to run a "work until collapse" colony which means my colonists get a lot of mental breaks and I have gotten very good at dealing with them. Most mental breaks will be interrupted if a colonist collapses from exhaustion. Also most breaks are relatively harmless if you wall off a pawn thanks to the skip + wall-raise combo. Mental breaks that can't be treated this way automatically get are much worst in that way. This means tantrums really suck and are probably worth casting word of serenity on. Run wild is definitely a huge pain in the ass. Given up is actually not that bad, they won't try to dig their way out of the wall they are stick in and the break doesn't last very long. Catatonic is a huge pain in the butt, I don't know of any decent way to heal this one. I guess at least the pawn will get some sleep. If you have biotech, most mental breaks can also be interrupted by sucking the blood of a pawn twice so they collapse from blood loss, although they won't get catharsis from this. Food binges and alcool are really trivial to deal with even without casting any psycasts, you can just setup a "trap" in dining table where you can quickly build a wood wall to lock the pawn off. In the case of targeted insult spree, then if all your pawn have low sleep (which is normal in a "work to exhaustion" colony) then you can tell everyone to go to sleep on the ground and it will stop the break since the won't be anybody for the broken pawn to attack, or you can bait the broken pawn into going through a hallway and quickly build wooden walls to trap them in. That last strategy also works with murderous rage. It's a good idea to keep an unfinished wooden wall at the entrance of your prison to prevent jailbreakers.

    I'd argue that Fire Starting Spree is worse than it is for a few reasons:
    1. As pyromaniacs can suffer this form of mental break at any time, it's the only mental break that a quality colony with all your pawns' needs satisfied can't prevent
    2. The damage from this is variable from insignificant in a mountain base where everything's made of stone to highly problematic if the break triggers on someone just outside your chemfuel or mortar shell stockpiles. The absolute worst case scenario is you have an antigrain warhead and they decide to light it up.
    3. If the pawn is a pyromaniac, they don't get catharsis when the break ends, which means a break due to low mood on them doesn't give the 2.5 day window that any other mental break does when it ends to fix things.

    • @teoskrn1518
      @teoskrn1518 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A little correction: fire starting spree is not the only one that can be triggered even if all needs are satisfied as gourmand pawns can go on food binges at random the same way pyromaniacs can go on fire starting sprees. Everything else is 100% correct however.

  • @hakabaka2048
    @hakabaka2048 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I put insulting spree into S tier since you can just schedule all of your colonists to sleep, and the mental break will stop. EZ catharsis.

    Food binge is a nice one. Get one pawn to form a caravan, pick up all the food in the colony, then dump one meal in the binging colonists bedroom. Start a wood or steel wall in front of the bedroom door but don't finish it. Then, when they go to eat the meal, finish the wall and trap them in there. Turns it in to a "hide in room break". They can deconstruct the wall when they're better.

    For berserk there are sorta 2 simple solutions (As in , simple to use . Simple to get they are not) from Royalty DLC. You can either use power that cancels mental breaks or combine wall raise and skip. You basically teleport berserked pawn to a corner or a hallway and lock it with temporary walls so its stuck.
    For run wild , Im pretty sure you can imprison them and just recruit(though its obviously takes a while and still annoying)

    Most of the time when they do break i select all non melee pawns and beat the shit out of the one having the break, the only breaks i accept are, daze, sad wander, catatonic, hide in room, food binge (easy to deal with, just block the door where your food is stored and open it when your colonists need food or when hes done).
    If they do start a tantrum, insulting or something more stupid, they will get humbled by a... not iron fist... cause we got no iron fists... need to check mods... but by a iron/wooden gun handle. Yeah sure it takes more time when they are in a hospital, but i like to think they learned their lesson, if not, i found an iron fist mod
    Edit: run wild is never a problem cause for some reason most of the enemy pawns i wound and try to recruit are very good with animals and decent with plants for some reason :/
