We love finding restaurants in Las Vegas that don't get as much hype as the big name restaurants on the Strip in the casinos, and this one takes the cake, or should I say taco?
Aroma Latin American Cocina in Henderson is the only Finalist for the James Beard Award for Best Chef Southwest in 2024, so we had to try it out and luckily we had a friend with us to help tackle almost half the menu with Tacos, sandwiches, and mole oh my

About a year ago we were in that shopping center at dinner time and we decided to try the Thai place next door. We walked in and it was empty and there was a smell of sewer. We decided to try Aroma instead and we were blown away. It was so good. Thanks for the video.

You would be surprised how little leftovers we have 🤣 😬 this meal for instance was three people and we had zero leftovers
We diet and exercise so that we can order like this for videos and definitely have to work to get the weight off but we enjoy it

Just catching up on some of your posts, which are great as always. If you visit the Phoenix area one day when it’s cooler, you’ll have to hit up Bacanora, which beat out Aroma for the James Beard award Southwest.

I don’t believe they actually take reservations. We got there at opening so we were about to sit pretty easy but it picked up
By noon. They do dinner and you might have to wait a little time

In some of the Latin American dishes, which include Mexican food, raisins are used for sweetness but will not usually be found whole. Mole and some meat fillings include raisins.
It absolutely added sweetness to the empanadas as we ate more of them! So tasty!

Food looked really great! Did I miss if you had reservations? And if yes, how far out did you book?
We couldn’t find a spot to make a reservation so we went when it opened at 11am. Sounds like weekend dinners can be tough but if you can do weekday it might be easier.

To be fair, we had a friend join us for this review. Most of the time we eat 90% or more of what we order.
We did have a time where we each added a few pounds, but have scaled back and are much better about our routine at home!
We’ve also cut back to two meals a day in Vegas where in the beginning we were doing 3!

DELICIOUS….LOOKED FOOD LOOKED ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS TO ME. AND I LIVE IN SAN DIEGO THAT HAS SOME OF THE MOST AMAZING MEXICAN FOOD EVER. THIS IS ONE OF THE VERY FEW REASONS I LIVE IN THIS HORRIBLE EXPENSIVE STATE OF MINE. I WILL GIVE THAT JOINT A TRY IF I GET A RENTAL CAR NEXT TRIP TO LAS VEGAS.
