I don’t know how a shop owner can sleep at night without knowing he gave his client the best he could possibly get for all things considered. Thank you Carlos. I blueprint your words into my friends. I try to help my friends when they goto some shops and get stuff done, as always not what they thought they were getting. Than they come to me as a friend and brother to help because it just doesn’t sound right and they can’t put more money into it at that point. I hate cleaning up someone’s mistakes, when they paid good money for it to be done. Once my hands go in, it becomes my responsibility to do it right. I’ve seen almost all of what you said, and 5% is very generous. It is a lot more. I greatly appreciate you setting the bar high, as a installer but even more as a business owner. Hands down your are the best builder I’ve seen.
Just another reason why I have decided to have NVS Audio to do my install. I rather travel from NC to NJ to get quality work with quality equipment installed by a knowledgeable and quality team. Carlos and crew thank you, keep up the good work👍
I don’t know why anyone would dislike this video when my man Carlos is speaking only facts. It’s nothing wrong with being honest and telling a client you don’t have the answers or tools to do the job correctly, but what’s wrong is short changing yourself and the client by doing sub-par work because you don’t have the knowledge or tools to do the job correctly. Invest in the knowledge and tools and keep growing.
This right here is why I want to bring my bike to you. I was just going to do a stage 2 harley Hk, but now after watching a number of your videos I'm sure you are the shop for me. Just have to figure out the logistics of the drop. Thanks for sharing so much knowledge.

I researched for a month, all the other so-called bike audio experts were very "cloudy" on what's needed and how they do their wiring and installs.

You are spot on about demoing on a bike! We have a demo board, but when I walk a client out to my bike and let them hear what we do/sell I'm usually walking them back in to sign them up on a work order. I'm a firm believer in 'riding what we sell'.

Thank you for the information that you are sharing with us. I am new to motorcycle audio and have recently decided to do a few of the local sound competitions for fun. I tried to use a local shop and with the knowledge that I have gained from your videos, I find they are not up to speed on the proper techniques and equipment for Motorcycle audio. I was fortunate enough to get an appointment with Tim Holden (Holden Customs) in South Chicago area to do my install for me. If I didn't get in with Holden Customs, I would have been one of those bikes trying to get into Your shop.

Maybe it can be the best of both worlds. Maybe you can do a consultation for out of state ppl. Give a 'blueprint' so to speak. Like your pre-tuned dsp idea. I'm in Indiana & I'm interested in a consultation with a pre-tuned dsp.

Carlos, Your educational points in this video are the reasons I shipped my components from way down south in New Orleans to you. I want it done right the first and hopefully only time. It was worth it to me to send my work to you rather than get it done locally. The things you speak about here are exactly what I would have to contend with. BTW, I want you to turn me on to a good streaming service for Android.
A lot of the Audio shops out here are charging top dollar for crap work … which the consumer should be able to sue their asses 😡😡😡🚫🧢💥💥👊🏿👊🏿… that’s rt Carlos get they asses str8 👍🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Hello Carlos. I am not a builder in business, I am a customer who has gone through exactly the situations you have described. I had no idea the level of stress we all add to you. I sent you some questions in an email and after hearing this video, I feel guilty for sending questions your way. Listening to this video has taught me I need to do far more research for myself. Carlos it is so easy to interview a installer when you give all the necessary information and you realize way more than 80% of these guys don't have a clue, and you know if you where not as busy you would have a lot more out of state bikes in your Shop!! God Bless Man for all of us you help.

Your information is awesome and your honesty is unheard of in the sales world! I spent 5 grand in the Atlanta area and I have not been happy with it since. I did not find you until AFTER I did it so my streetglide is not where I want it to be. I used this shop because they are so popular. I have heard there other bikes but mine doesn't compare. I thought it was just a money thing.
I'm in Atlanta (Mableton)area also and used a shop locally and was very disappointed to say the less! I did my research pull the bike into my basement and got better results from Carlo videos doing it myself!
@Antonio Williams Agreed sir!! I had to change my rear amp and 6×9 mid bass speakers after watching Carlos. THE OUTPUT IS SO MUCH BETTER and so is the equipment!!

Carlos, I have ran into exactly what your saying. I have been researching and self teaching motorcycle audio for a year now. I have watched and looked at ALL the big shops across the country. Yes I'm on a budget. But even on a budget this is a large investment. Last thing I want to do is spend 2k on equipment and it sound like shit.
Because you do what you do is the reason youre getting business and hope to see you this fall /winter

What would you recommend for a victory cross country in thinking about 6x9 in bags and 6.5 in the faring looking for something that's not going to break the bank.

Biggest thing is not knowing shops that do audio on Harleys. Or if there is one shop in the whole city and you walk in and get a bad vibe. Asking to see their work and can't. Motorcycle audio is not cheap. Because cheap audio anit cool and cool audio anit cheap. Here I am thinking about riding for the south way up to you. But now I am like ok where now.
What about TH-cam music app?
I'm going to do my own work because most shops are not NVS.
I only use solder on circuit boards it makes for a cleaner install but it’s technicality not better than a good quality butt splice no car manufacturer has ever used solder form the factory only car audio guys use it on cars

What dsp doesn't cause a popping noise when you turn on the bike?

doesn’t flashing radio flat cancel warranty on radio for a new bike. American hard bag says they have program for rockford dsp that you don’t flash bike at all. My question is would their set up be a 5% loss or would it help at all while maintaining factory warranty?

What dsp would you recommend for an 05 roadglide. My problem is 1. I do all my own work because these shops don't care 2. I've never used a dsp 3. I have a custom inner fairing that holds (4) 6.5 so i don't have room under the hood for my 2 amps let alone a dsp. I had to put 1 amp in the bag.
I'm thinking about getting a tour pack just to mount my amps better
Traveling Tall just had a 4 speaker Hertz install with Amp, and they go to great lengths to explain why no DSP is needed. I'm not that well versed on all the intricacies of car audio. I just want it to sound good. Is the RF Harley set up a good way to go? It looks like the system auto corrects and the install by the Harley dealer is $2500 out the door.

Apples to Oranges you are comparing. My $2500 price quote is for a Harley Davidson dealer, Out the door install on a Harley/Rockford Fosgate 4 speaker one Amp System.
Damn straight!! These shops where I’m at are getting over for real! No way in hell a person should be paying for a all hertz set up and it sounds like straight garbage!! DSP IS A MUST!!

Carlos, I find your video's so very informative and beneficial. I am planning on an audio upgrade soon on my 2021 Streetglide Special. I am seriously considering traveling from Dayton Ohio to you for what I feel would be a quality install, unless you personally know of a good shop in Ohio that can do the same quality work your shop does.

My android plays way lower with the wire vs bluetooth.
Nobody should go to a "car audio" shop for their motorcycle audio. Plain and simple.
