- We tested and are reviewing the Harley-Davidson Audio By Rockford Fosgate system that we installed on a touring model. On this Harley Road Glide, we have fairing speakers, saddlebag lid speakers, two amps, and two saddlebag subwoofers installed.

Just purchased a stage 5 at Az Bike week. Being installed this week. Cost me 4300 otd, including the installation. My woman found the receipt this morning and about fell over. 😄
I ordered mine too at bike week (scottsdale) my birthday gift to myself. I paid 4500.00 I wonder why they charged me more!
@Anthony C Did you buy it at Westworld or SDHD? I got mine via a local shop/vendor at Westworld. He did tell me that SDHD wasn't happy with them selling the system for less.
On my 2015 Streetglide Special with older infotainment system. I installed Rockford Fosgete amp and speakers.. No need to go to Harley Dealership to FLASH the system. Get a BIKETRONICS LINE LEVELER . It’s plug and play between infotainment system and new Rockford Fosgate amp. The line leveler does the FLASHING and if ever you want to take the R F amp out, just unplug the line leveler and the infotainment system work on factory settings.

I have a 2019 Ultra. I put the Fosgate 400 watt Amplifier with front Speaker & Saddle Bag lid Speaker system in. Seems to work well. But as you said, once you get past 40 MPH you can barely hear the Saddle Bag Lid Speakers. It cost me about $1,100. I'm happy with it

@ryan great videos like always! Because of your vids, I installed it myself… very simple. @Rockfordfosgate, how can I tune my system… the speakers sound great, but I know I have equalize it… sounds good but not clear.

Installed it without subs on my RGS 17 and just happy. A big step up from stage 2.

Such a great sounding system with all of the reliability of OEM.
I got this system. But it's the stage 5 kit by RF. Not the Harley brand. Great system. I had it installed by my local Audio shop that's an authorized RF dealer. Cost me about 1200 to install and the system cost me about 3500 to 4500. Good system
I first owned and still have a Road King. A friend with an Ultra Classic let me take his for a ride. I acquired one shortly after because of the sound system. It makes for a great ride.

Harley is putting in my 2019 triglide on Thursday can’t wait to hear it’s about $2500 to $3000 to have it that’s for 1 amp and no subs but all 4 speakers

I added the Rockford Fosgate Stage 2 System to my 2022 Roadglide Limited this winter . Next winter I’ll have them add the same speakers 🔊 in the lower fairings with another amplifier.

I got the regular rockford fosgate setup in my 19 ultra classic. 8 speakers all together at the moment. Saving up to get the subs next.
The harley version requires new speaker lids which in some colors is 800 bucks. The rockford stage 3 is same kit I think but allows you to cut existing lids. Oh and sometimes it takes 2 months to get the lids because harley paints them as they are ordered.
Great. Now we can listen to our road trip buddies play “Simple Kind of Man” on repeat at every stop light and now on the highway… Great…

I'm installing a Boom Audio Stage 1 saddlebag speaker kit on my 2019 street glide special, can I turn on the rear speakers thru the info center or will I have to take it to a dealer to be flashed?
How do you feel about that malfunctioning water pump, that Harley-Davidson put on the 2014 up 2 the newest version's
The sub might be very cool but I don't want to drill a hole on my beautiful CVO saddlebag 😅
I've got a 2011 ultra and they don't fit so I'm putting a rockford fosgate P2 10 inch in my tour pack

I got the amp and the front speakers installed on my 22 Street Glide. The sound is great - but what does not work anymore is the plug which fooled the radio into the car play functionality (without mic), without the need for a WHIM. Haven‘t spoken with the tec at the dealer yet, but do you know if there is a way to get it back?
I'm interested did you find out how to get it back without the WHIM?
@@deanruschke8802 Sorry, should have posted the outcome here.
Was no problem, went to the dealer and the workshop head knew immediately what the „problem“ was. They simply automatically activated the WHIM (even if not installed), without paying attention to the installed plug. He changed the setting for a donation into their tip jar (it actually was a job, because he also installed the plug again, which means removing the fairing).
Did not realize bag speaker take the whole bag do not care for that. But if I wanted to bother everyone in town this might be what I would want.
Check the video out. The subs remove in less than a minute and then you just use the rest of the system. Simple. In and out when you need space.
So I've heard the new Rockford system on different bikes there's even a Harley dealer that has a demo bike set up in their showroom, 🤔 however I have seen these subwoofer boxes with blown speaker's waiting for a warranty claim 😳 I seen videos of what speakers you can put in to replace the Rockford speakers when they blow 🤯 so I think I'll wait a little longer I'm pretty sure there's a version 2 coming out soon 🤨 👍🏽
I believe it's a lot more cost-effective to buy a set of SPL speaker rings and just and just buy two Hertz speakers or PRV or diamond or whichever brand you prefer ground zero, there's so many good ones on I your own amplifier such as a diamond audio or soundigital just to name a few that I prefer and I'm pretty sure installation and a good tune will sound as good if not much better and last a very long time without any problems .
🧐 However if these are only my opinions 👍🏽 and a little side note
You must always remember, when it comes to ( opinions are like assholes everybody has one ) 🤷🏽 I'm just saying 😜😁🤠
