  • What made me an Assassin's Creed fan was the great movie-like cinematic experience. And these phenomenal characters were brought to life by remarkably talented actors. There were many awesome cutscenes in the AC franchise. These are my favorites.

They vary a bit on the narration style (some are diaries, some are third person narration etc.) and only focus on the ancestor, no animus involved. Each novel focuses on a game, but the story itself doesn't follow the game step-by-step. For instance, the Assassin's Creed 3 novel, Assassin's Creed Forsaken, follows Haytham's POV from his childhood with Edward until Haytham's death, as his personal diary.

The assassin's motto really makes sense if you think about it, it may be simplistic at first, but it's inner philosophies actually had depth. And I could go on about Ezio had the best story out there, you literally saw him as a baby to his death. But I'll just leave out a few of the best quotes here
“To say that nothing is true is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile and that we must be the shepherds of our civilization.
To say that everything is permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions, and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious of tragic.”
      ― Ezio Auditore da Firenze
      And also...
“When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment.
Love, liberty, and time: once so disposable, are the fuels that drive me forward. And love, most especially, mio caro. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters. And for the vast and wonderful world that gave us life, and keeps us guessing. Endless affection, mia Sofia.
      Forever yours,
      Ezio Auditore.”
My child-brain right then and there started to appreciate life a bit more when I read and understood those words. It made playing through the old games worth it because of the story alone

I live in Russia and Russian is my native language, but when it comes to Assassins Creed, I've been doing original English voice acting for 10 years now, because dubbing speech can't even come close to this charisma. And even though English is not my native language, I feel its sound in games more strongly than Russian. Always an amazing cast and a lot of effort is invested in working on the voice acting.
