In this battle report i am doing a sort of D&D campaign story line that is very narrative driven. This is the first battle in many adventures to follow so i hope you all enjoy the ride :). Narrative DnD skirmish style works really well with miniatures, I find, when playing solo... and sometimes (when the tone is right) I do this within our group campaign as well, but I find an immense amount of pleasure playing this way on my own. I run four long term campaigns: 2 with my players - one is my own homebrew sci fi and another is a sort of Dragonlance thing but with a lot of made up stuff added to it: the other two are solo campaigns I play on my own using miniatures (like you do), and they are both set in the same world my players enjoy,. I DO play other miniatures games but mostly small mini campaigns, and include Xena, Judge Dredd, Zombies, French Indian War, Alamo, Zulus, Napoleonic, American Civil War, WWI, WWII, and a few other things such as sailing ships, etc etc. Your style of play always impresses me massively and inspires me no end.. and am always excited when you do somethjing like this new campaign. Keep up the cool work brother, and once again MERRY CHRISTMAS :-)

@@stephengilbert8166 it is Always cool to bring a World to life this way. Be it through DnD, miniature games or both. I enjoy a lot of these things as you do and play solo a lot, but lately my youngest Son is involved in skirmish games too. He has a little over a 1000pt of Lizardmen hehe and we´ve played some games with that too. I still play dnd with our main group and have started a one on one campaign with my daughter. So I lots of things going on haha 😁.

Miss these kind of battles and stories. You should have your dnd group do the voices as well. And have the group take a page out of Mordheim and have a halfling with a cart of food and ale for buffs before the battle.
