    "A short time for you, is a lifetime of someone else"
    That hits hard! Grogu could return to Mando but by the time Grogu is old enough to form words, Din would already be an old man. Grogu could still become a jedi to protect those who helped him when he was helpless, perhaps aid the rebuilding of Mandelorian culture, or some other way. He may not be able to form an attachment with Mando, but still cherish the memories he had with him.

    Other people might have mentioned this before, BUT I feel like they've potentially laid out some hints that Grogu will be walking both paths of Mandalorian and Jedi. From the mention last episode of Tarre Visla, the Mandalorian Jedi and then Mando's astromech port being perfectly sized for Grogu. I just feel like they're laying the groundwork for something there. The only thing is that I've got absolutely no clue how it will pan out in terms of the media we get since Grogu is still technically an infant at this point and we'd have to see a major major timeskip. Perhaps they'll find a way to interweave it with the rumours I've heard of the sequel chatacters (rey etc) planned to return in some form or another.
    I think a Mandalorian style series or movie would be a perfect way to move this story forward and also act as a great redemption for the sequel characters which were all super interesting but criminally underdeveloped. Rey helping Finn to learn the ways of the force while a teenage mando/jedi hybrid Grogu is involved somehow to restore the jedi order to prequel level strength is something I'd 200% be interested in. Only have to wait and see if any of the sequel actors even want to be involved after all the hate they got.

    • @ashscott6068
      @ashscott6068 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yeah. I've though since some time in Season 1 that "The Mandalorian" the title refers to is Grogu, not Din. They worked quickly to establish foundlings, and that Mandalorian is creed, rather than a race. They didn't need to do any of it. They could have just had Din's parents be mandalorians too, and it changes nothing. But when Fett showed up, I started thinking they only did it to cement Fett as a legit mandalorian, not just a guy who inherited some armour. Now I'm thinking, that ll of that was included, not just cus people wanted Fett, but to make people think that's the reason they established the whole foundling thing.
      The only thing that puts me off the idea, is I don't want to see Baby Yoda speaking. I don't know if any voice would really work

      @Alfonso222 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ashscott6068 Def agree with you. It for sure feels like one of those things that in all honesty I would rather be hinted at for me to IMAGINE what ended up happening rather than seeing it. I would be 100% okay hearing something like "the Mandalorian Jedi Grogu brought peace to Mandalore" or whatever as just a passing dialogue in some other future series. Either way I feel like the producers have been getting the message in terms of what fans want to see in Star Wars media in the past few years, and I'm getting the feeling that they'll do something good regardless of what they decide to do. My only hope is that they'll know when to end it rather than letting everything go on for like seven seasons.

    • @Alfonso222
      @Alfonso222 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      ALSO, unrelated note, just noticed that the VFX when Luke was helping Grogu remember his past was exactly the same as when Anakin was having his nightmares about Padme dying. The CGi on Luke has come on leaps and bounds since The Mandalorian season 2. It was fantastic in this episode. And I quite agree that Luke is the embodiment of hope. This just intensifies the notion that Disney should totally retcon the sequel trilogy; Luke Skywalker does not just give up.
    Personally, I think Grogu will choose the chainmail. It would tie him back into the story of The Mandalorian, which I think fans would want, plus he and Din are too close to simply phase Grogu out or add him to someone else's story. If he chooses the lightsaber, he might disappear for an entire season of The Mandalorian and then suddenly show up at a critical moment when Din needs him.

      The reason it looks better is because it's not CGI. It was CGI in The Mandalorian, and I think we can all agree it looked really bad. I was overwhelmed in the moment but upon repeat viewing, it doesn't look good at all. Anyways, the TH-camr Shamook did a deepfake over it and it looked way better, except the lip movement was still like "ah bah bah bah" but he said he can't improve it since he's deepfaking over the CGI. But Lucasfilm saw his video since it went viral and they hired him. So Shamook did a deepfake for Luke here, it's not CGI. Lucasfilm has so many resources and archived footage of young Mark Hamill for Shamook and a VFX team to feed the AI so that it can make the most photorealistic Luke Skywalker

    My predictions is as follows:
    - Cobb Vanth took one in the shoulder, but will be okay. He'll rally the people of the town (especially now after Cad Bane) and they will go to Boba's palace to help.
    - Grogu will either choose the chainmail or try and choose both.
    - Luke will take him to see Mando on Tatooine, to talk about the attachment, there he will learn about the situation and his homeplanet being used by the Pykes for spuce running. This will trigger him to offer his help in the battle.
    - Luke will either learn or at least have a seed planted about attachments being okay for Jedis to have. This will be in line with episode 5, where Mando states that the mandalorian way is the complete opposite of the Jedi way. Luke will learn that there is a middleground. This will also trail perfectly with Ahsoka's comment about "the student sometimes teaching the master" (or something like that) in this episode. This might also set up a possibility for Luke to form attachments, which means we might see MARA JADE at some point (perhaps Mando season 3)
    - After the battle is over, we will see the Millenium Falcon flying over and landing. The ramp will come down and the door will open and THAT is where the season ends.
    Let me know what you think of my predictions Skyman, and as always THANK YOU for a great reaction video

    Couple of things specifically for you Skyman:
    1. I found your channel via another channel that does compilation vids of reactors to these series. In fact after watching this episode earlier this morning, yours was one of the reactions I was most looking forward to seeing.
    2. I admit I have a mancrush on your voice (deep, relaxing, with an accent) and it was one of the reasons I took interest in your vids
    3. Saw your vid last week on ep 5, and congratulations on fatherhood and how that has altered you perception regarding content and the emotions you tap into when you see it. 12:40 AND FEEL YOUR FEELINGS YOUNG SKYMAN!!! If you want to control yourself as a Jedi does you must feel you feelings!!!! You can be happy, sad, frustrated, anxious, angry, fearful. All these feelings are acceptable parts of being a human, and you are allowed to feel them, SO LONG AS YOU CAN BE SAFE!!! (Don't destroy things, don't harm others, don't harm yourself). Feeling your feelings is the path to mastering oneself, which leads to mastering the force.
    4. I don't think Cobb Vanth was killed by Cad Bane. I've watched that vid a couple of times and I think Bane got Vanth in the should, but he definitely killed the Deputy.
    5. The choice at the end that Luke is asking Grogu to make is DIRECTLY out of Lone Wolf and Cub. I feel like (and maybe this is wishful thinking on my part) that Grogu will choose the Beskar chain mail and Luke will train him anyway.
    6. There is a short fan made web comic by an artist named Princepsed about when Ahsoka and Luke meet for the first time and they talk about Anakin Skywalker. I wouldn't be surprised if Filoni drew inspiration from this as a number of people tagged in the initial post. You can look it up online, just have your tissues at the ready.
    7. Love your reaction. I am subscribed. Keep posting, blessing and best wishes in fatherhood, and may the force be with you.

    I haven't seen the episode yet and you featured a shot from the show with LUKE in it. I hope its not a SPOILER. UPDATE: Watched it. Then watched it with you. You're forgiven. I really connect with your feelings on everything. You successfully articulate the thoughts and feelings of people like me that love this material and always have.

    Oh man, this was the reaction I needed to see after tearing up at the exact same moments, I couldn't believe it. Incredible, just incredible.
    Tearing up went to straight up bursting into a squeak cry when Ahsoka said to Luke "so much like your father". My brain could straight up not handle the weight of this one line, Ahsoka's pain, her path with Anakin, now being Luke's senior and mentor, seeing the good and challenges in him she saw in Anakin - emotion overload. Damn.

    Grogu will definitely be choosing Mando, simply based on the fact there's a second dome that's perfect for him in Mando's new starfighter, plus Disney wouldn't want to miss out on the Grogu merch sales. That being said, I do think it's too soon and it kinda lessens the impact of the whole journey in season 2 in my honest opinion. I'd rather have him be gone for at least a season. Give the BD droid to Mando for now, they seemed to get along well.

    Voice was Mark Hamill but with a computer making his voice like he used to sound using samples of his younger self from all the films hes done as a reference. They are using the tech for Val Kilmer for something upcoming as he has lost his voice due to throat cancer which he has recovered from.

    I was a 15 year old kid in 1977, standing in line to see this movie called 'Star Wars' that everyone was talking about. Cut to 2022, and while I'm no longer 15, I felt like a teenager once again watching this exceptional episode. Just so well done on every level. Bravo!

    Wow, after the horrible and dissapointing mess that left the new SW trilogy ( for me they don't count as canon), we finally see the REAL SKYWALKER as we remembered from ep. VI. This episode is a step in the right direction to fix SW that KK destroyed for many of us...

    This shows Jake Skywaker's development is totally out of place.
    Luke's learned enlightened wisdom cannot be undone, it is a fundamental part of his being. Sequels must be done away with because they totally undermine and move away from GL vision, especially Luke's path.

    I'm getting mighty tired of the jedi trying to cram this "NO ATTATCHMENTS" bs down everyone's throats. In their own way, they are just as zealous, cultish, and self-destructive as the children of the watch, or even the sith. Luke isn't giving grogu a real choice, he's forcing a perspective of the force on him that isn't really balanced or in tune with reality; "Choose one or the other, but you can't explore life and do both". Says who? Luke sure as shit had attachments. He had parents, mentors, had friends in his life. He SAVED the galaxy through his attachment to his father. Those attachments grounded him, made him better than the jedi who came before. The only real reason jedi detach is because they FEAR attachments..and fear is just more dark side shit.

      That last sentence is pure proof of why the Jedi failed, I have no doubt they’ll explore this choice more in the Ahsoka series or maybe a skywalker series

    See, this is what REAL Star Wars fans FEEL when we see REAL Star Wars. I'm 51, I saw Star Wars in 1977, and have been a fan ever since.
    Disney RAPED my childhood, Favreau and Feiloni have helped heal those scars, and they can completely undo it with Grogu's decision... I hate to admit it, but he needs to take the saber. He can have the armor later when Luke realizes that attachments are good.

    On the scale of 1 through 10 of how star wars was this episode, I have to rate it at a 20. The episode had just about everything I long dreamed to see and was amazingly put together. I dont even know where to begin...I guess all I need to say is Luke Skywalker and Cad fucking Bane! lol
    I have watched several reaction videos of this episode. Yours was by far the most heart felt. Its pretty clear you are a long time fan that see's the finer lines like the use of the music. No one else I watched mentioned the music and it was a small touch I noticed myself in the moment watching. The fact you mention this, the pod racing, the N1 sounds, and others was really relatable for me. Will definitely catch your season finale reaction for sure, loved this.
