      The audio quality from the mic is so bad, please fix that, and also, don’t lower the tone of sound of the episode, people and the music sound weird with lower voices and lower tone of music, plenty of other channels can get away with not doing that, and not have any copyright problems, fix these 2 things, and you’re reaction channel will grow beyond your imagination, cause it shows a different level of professionalism.

    Cad also has beef with Boba in 1 out of the 10 cancelled Clone Wars arcs, which Disney sadly cancelled after their Star Wars takeover in 2014. In that arc Boba and Bane had a standoff where they shot each other in the head, which created the dent in Boba's helmet, but both survived. And as you can see in the Bad Batch show Bane now has a metal plate at his head where he got shot, which is why I think that arc is still canon. Btw, among these cancelled (on screen) CW arcs were amazing stories like "Son of Dathomir" and "Dark Disciple", which I would absolutely love to see return to screen, alongside their duell.

    • @Rummyson

      Filoni and Favreau have both stated that, that duel is considered cannon. And i bet you, they are going to bring it to live action next episode. the rematch... bet we find out, it was actually Cad Bane who destroyed his Tusken Tribe. We then see Boba go off the rails.

    I personally think Grogu saved himself; a display of his power and affinity towards the dark side.
    Also the connection between both Luke and Mando agreeing that Grogu shouldnt use the force to eat frogs, both sides agree on the same thing but for different reasons. Grogu is already both, but he needs to figure out his own way to live it.
    Also they are making a point to show the faults of both sides, removing helmet, not a mando, attachments, not a Jedi. Both sides are wrong, and Grogu is going to be the healing that both sides need to defeat the empire

  • @Wolf1354
    @Wolf1354 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You guys are missing the point. It was Anakin's attachment to his mother and Padme that lead him to the dark side. He wasn't able to overcome his fear of loss, and that fear allowed him to be manipulated by Palpatine. An attachment for someone powerful like a Jedi can have a disastrous ending.

  • @akdollface007
    @akdollface007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I agree about Luke (of all people) knowing that proper attachment/relationships help the Force wielder rather than harm them. And Grogu has the potential to outlive everyone he currently knows, so he could totally spend Din’s life with him and then learn more about the Force. I hope he chooses Din and the chainmail (and that could bring Grogu and Luke to Tatooine for the fight possibly). And I hope maybe it was a test to see if Grogu wanted family or power and seeing that he’ll choose family, then Luke could see that Grogu isn’t out for power. Looking at Ahsoka’s reaction to Din’s choice, I lowkey thought she wanted Grogu Din to jump in and stop Grogu being taught to be a Jedi (especially because of her fear of Grogu’s fear). She is proof that a good Force wielder doesn’t have to be formally a Jedi. Luke talked about balance of all things and Grogu IS the One, the balance (It was thought to be Anakin, but he was born of the dark side and Grogu was born of the light side at the same time)…Grogu can be a balance of Mandalorian AND Jedi. And look at how the lightsabers didn’t save the Jedi in Grogu’s memory…the way they reflect in his cute eyes isn’t a “ooh, it’s a shiny thing I want”, I think it’s a “these terrible things don’t work” trauma reaction. When Madison said she was going to be pissed if they didn’t allow Grogu to see Din, I thought, “Yup. Get ready.” And I hope we see the first meeting and discussion of Ahsoka and Luke in her series. And Cad Bane is even more menacing in person. I’m glad that deputy was stupid enough to interfere so he could die rather than Cobb (because we knew Cad Bane was killing somebody, but wanted Cobb to be alive). The western portion is “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly”…Cobb is definitely the good (all that spice and he wasn’t even tempted; just dumped it out to the wind) and Cad Bane is definitely the bad (even down to the hat he wears). Such a great episode! Whew! 😳🤩😳

      I seem to recall reading/seeing somewhere that Mara Jade was supposed to show up in live action at some point (tho I don’t recall now where so that might be wrong). So I hope you’re right and Luke was just testing Grogu to see if he would choose family over power 🤞🏻. What was it that Master Yoda said about being a great Jedi? (I’m going to have to go back and rewatch that part when they first meet in Empire Strikes Back…) When Luke said “I’ll teach you to be a great Jedi”, that reminded me of that because I thought, “well that’s a little presumptuous to say it that way”.

    • @BSM-vw6cf

      @@akdollface007 the way I see it attachment and power are a good thing when balanced with the control and discipline of a jedi. @MAC React,
    7:48 Grogu's 50 years old. 30 years ago was RotS. Since Grogu's from the time of the Jedi he was found early and raised in the temple. He knew all the Jedi Masters and learned from all of them for 20 years.
    7:58 I think Grogu saved himself, Madison. I know many of us, myself included, hoped/wanted Mace Windu to be his savior when we were talking about the Mandalorian, but considering what's happened then and now, I think it's looking more and more like no one came. With 20 years of training under his belt, Grogu should have been capable of handling himself pretty well. Personally, I think he's more mature than he's letting on. The trauma of Order 66 and whatever he did to himself, seems to have locked his memories from himself, he's buried them deep to the point of repression.
    8:06 the scene ends with a lightsaber rolling towards him and Clone Troopers advancing. The Three Jedi that were with Grogu are dead. Grogu had to step up, and he likely went ham on them.
    We know from Obi-Wan and Yoda that a Jedi's best defense at the time was to run away and disappear, to be something they were not, like they were dead. Obi-Wan pretended to be a crazy old hermit on Tatooine. Yoda did the same on Dagobah. Grogu appears to have locked his mind behind a powerful Force trick that he has forgotten how to unlock, which maybe why he acts infantile. Luke might have give his mind the push it needs to remember. Grogu's training at the temple likely surpasses Luke's and maybe even Ahsoka's--I'm not sure how old she's supposed to be...
    9:46 Tarre Vizsla was from a thousand years ago. Ahsoka was tied up in fights, so her knowledge of the past might be limited. She and Luke learned from the same masters, so their points of view are old fashioned. Tarre is proof that both is possible. Anakin sort of did too, though he was imbalanced and easily manipulated. Had Yoda and Obi-Wan confronted Anakin about his marriage to Padme instead of pretending like it didn't happen, Anakin might not have felt isolated, afraid and helpless. There was no salvation from his fears in the light, only the dark, and we all know how that went.
    Last week's episode foreshadowed Grogu's future. He's going to be the next Mandalorian Jedi, like Tarre Vizsla before him. Grogu doesn't need a teacher--"already knows Grogu, that which he needs," is probably something Yoda would say here. Grogu needed someone to help him remember, and Luke's done that.
    13:10 Doesn't it look like he's remembering?
    24:14 Luckily, Grogu doesn't need a teacher =D
    Next week is going to be crazy. Cad Bane can't be the only person the Pykes have, can he? Boba's team is stacked and Luke has even joined yet, and you know he's going to. He isn't going to just drop off Grogu and peace out, lol. I wonder what the Pykes have up their sleeves.
    Cannot wait!

  • @kdonig84
    @kdonig84 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't think Grogu's "choice" its about attachment. Luke doesn't want to manipulate Grogu into being a Jedi and we do see Luke's struggle as he teaches Grogu saying "I dont think his heart is in it". So I think Luke is being very upfront and wants to give Grogu the opportunity to truly go where he wants to be.

    Great reaction, Madison & Christian! Was waiting for your reactions. Mind blown at everything & that "stranger in the desert", he shot the sheriff & the deputy... Chainmail or lightsaber? (Methinks its a test... XD) ;)

    I think catching up with Ahsoka on the Clone Wars and truly all the details of Anakin, Palpatine, and the Dark Side has just made him more conservative -- even afraid (ironically). And to your point, he's almost entirely alone here. He doesn't have a partner around all the time to soundboard with.
    My favorite enduring thing about this incredible episode is really just how complex and human Luke's character is. He's a Jedi Master, but he's still figuring things out. He asks his mentor, his senior Ahsoka, for advice, and hopes to see and learn more from her.
    Also, LOVE your emotional reaction, and your knowledge.

    it's gotta be a test for luke to gauge how committed he is to being a jedi, by picking the saber it will show luke that grogu is willing to give up any attachments if need be and it will show luke his heart is in it! that said I think he will let him have the armor as well. for a dude who dropped his training to go help his friends and sister, luke would be hypocritical to seriously give grogu an ultimatum like that! so I feel like lukes using this moment to gauge where grogus heart and head is at, if he chose the armor luke would kno that grogus heart his with din and might be better off letting him go, picking the saber would show luke the grogu is willing to do what he needs to to be a jedi and therefore will be comfortable letting him have the armor as well.

  • @MyBirdCam
    @MyBirdCam 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It wasn't the ultimatum that made Anakin fall. It was his consuming desire to have it all. He wasn't willing to release power and believed that power could give him what he needed. If he had made the choice to leave the Jedi and his power and ego behind he could have had a family. He wanted everything and was willing to use whatever force was necessary to make that happen.

    The close up shots from cad bane to cobb and deputy was an old movie reference from The Good, The bad and The ugly western movie with Clint Eastwood. George Lucas was a huge fan of it and that's why Star wars had heavy influence from it and Dave filoni is a big fan of the old westerns. Cad Bane is based on Angel Eyes which was played by Lee Van Cleef

    Luke falling back into the pattern of the mistakes of the old jedi. Which makes sense considering how we see him as a older man. I think Jocasta Nu the librarian saved Grogu or Shaak Ti before she was killed. Jocasta kept all the secrets and she knew everything hence the name. You learn more about her in the Vader comics.

    Ben Solo didn't burn down the temple..
    In the Kylo Ren comic, it was VERY clear that SNOKE blew up the temple.
    Ben even ran in and tried to save people but the temple exploded.
    So again, Kylo didn't burn down the Jedi temple. SNOKE DID.

    First time watching your reactions. very insightful and engaging. I got excited by the whole episode. I'm wondering why Boba Fett had so little in this ep, even at the 'meeting' he said very little, no Mando/Fett reunion words. Also it was Corey Burton voicing Cad Bane here, the voice from the animation

    Remember that there was a lot more to Anakin's journey to the dark side than Padme; his mother and himself were slaves on Tattooine and his mother was ultimately killed by a militant Tusken raider tribe, things that created deep scars in his personality.. a fear of losing those close to him. As for Grogu, he's got years of training and growing to do before he's reached Jedi Knight status and repeatedly triggering that attachment to Din would make it very difficult for him to focus on becoming a Jedi Knight. He'd need to complete that stage of his training and maturing before being able to handle those kind of attachments in a balanced way.
    Luke knew exactly what made his father turn to the dark side and he trust the Jedi teachings. Combined with him feeling that Grogu's heart may not be in it to relinquish his relationship with Din, Luke did the right thing by giving Grogu the choice to choose which path to take. Sure, we all want to see Grogu become a great Mandalorian Jedi (and perhaps we will in the future) but this was the best way. By showing us this I believe Grogu will take the armor and go with Din in The Mandalorian S3.

  • @Macsimus007
    @Macsimus007 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I disagree with the jedi's dogmatic views being why Anakin fell. Remember yoda and mace never trusted anakin from the start. They even question whether they called it wrong labeling him the chosen one. From the start they said his attachment and confusion made him dangerous and only agreed because they knew obi would train him anyway and wanted to supervise. The truth is, while I disagree with their dogmatic views, they were right about not trusting anakin, him being too old, and his attachment leading to the dark side. So ultimately not trusting his own instincts about Anakin was Yoda's biggest mistake when it comes to that part.
    Now on the flip side, their arrogant beliefs that they had it figured out left them blind to palpatines manipulation, and ultimately that dogmatic view left their understanding of the darkside practically non existent, making them vulnerable to it because they feared even learning about it.

    Imagine is Luke was like I’ll help you remember touches his forehead “Master Skywalker there’s to many of them what are we going to do”😂🤣 Also I get Luke wanting him to chose cause we’ve already seen Grogu tossing storm troopers and he tried choking out Cara Dune just for arm wrestling Din so the concern is very valid especially for Ashoka cause she seen it happen first hand with Anakin.Even though Luke was willing to let his students have attachments in legends he said he doesn’t know if Grogus really into it so he’s probably hoping he chooses the lightsaber and them gives him the armor and teaches him how to deal with his attachments!!Also Grogu is like Yoda he lives for ever and like the wills told Yoda near the end of the clone wars he has a bigger responsibility to learn and be the keeper of the force and it’s knowledge to carry it on to the other generations I hope he picks lightsaber so we can just pave over the prequels😂

    The Mace Windu theory CAN make sense, but you have to consider that he is a lot like Anakin. He isn't the kind to go to the temple just to save one youngling. He certainly would have warned the others.

    Love you two (and all you Star Wars fans). God what a great time to be alive and watching Star Wars. However, I believe they are starting to explain how Luke ended up "bitter" towards the force and the Jedi many decades later. I think this is the beginning of OUR understanding of why the Jedi's dogmatic, near religious, perhaps political teachings were not really the best. Luke was trained to do what he is now doing. I think he learned from these mistakes in the long run. Watch other reactions. All of us wonder why the Jedi would deny him the natural connection that seems so much better for Grogu. STAR WARS! Love it since 1977 to today.

  • @mhc121

    I think Grogu's situation is different from Luke and Anakin's in that, like Luke said, a short time for Grogu is a lifetime for most others. So Grogu will eventually see the Mandalorian and everyone else that he loves die. And the pain that comes with that might tempt him to turn to the dark side to save the ones he loves (just like Anakin did). I think that's what Luke is afraid of and why Grogu must let go of any emotional attachments he has if he is to become a Jedi.
