I love the shirt! 😁 Dave Filoni KILLED this episode! Honestly Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Jon Favreau are making the best Star Wars content right now!
This was masterful film making. The pace was not hectic. It was methodical and slow yet you feel that things are starting to spin out of control in the coming war with the Pikes. The showdown between Cobb and Bane was a masterpiece. The tension was palpable. I had my heart race, my throat tighten up. The contempt and disdain that dripped from every word that Bane spat from his mouth was blood curdling. I was watching this episode with my daughter and son in law. When the nerve of the deputy was about to break all three of us were saying, "Don't do it. Don't do it." Out loud. That's how deeply this show had drawn us in. My son in law and daughter are not Star Wars fans. They just fell in love with this series. Even not knowing who Cad Bane is, they knew Cobb and the deputy were overmatched.
The way Luke looked so dam good, even in movement and speaking. They have to give us a Luke series. Seeing what they did here, showed me it can be done.
It could be-but also, just consider the amount of effort that would take. I would wager that just the few scenes we had in this episode took a lot of time and planning. I can only imagine what a whole series would require! Still, it opens so many possibilities.
@@Tsarmanderi True, that as well. With Luke, it seems to work cause it just so happens he's a zen-like monk whose calm demeanor is easier to translate visually. Not a lot of laughter or angry outbursts.

Melissa, never apologize for being the biggest Star Wars nerd in the room. I love your reaction, mine was pretty much the same. I actually cried when Luke was talking about Yoda.
A truly epic episode. Beyond getting to see a proper Jedi training that the sequels so lacked and getting to enjoy the Luke we all love this gave us Ashoka as well. I was freaking out as much as you. I also enjoy the silence of Boba. Cobb is winged and hurt but not dead! And getting to see my favorite CW character outside of Ashoka in Cad Bane was awesome! His lighter face is fine as to me shows signs of his having aged. He tension his arrival brings was fantastic and has me longing for Wed.
I like how Boba Fett doesn't talk when they're gathered around. I noticed some fans were demanding he talk less. He talked less here and some fans are now saying he should have been talking instead of Fennec. It's a lose-lose situation because so many people feel ownership over Boba Fett, but I quite like how they've handled him. And Cad Bane mentioning him as ruthless when we the audience know the growth Boba has been through shows that they didn't "retcon" our Boba, he still exists. He's just changed. It's in-character for Boba because he is growing as a character. Love it.
Lots of people were “expecting” cold blooded bounty hunter Boba, we were presented with left for dead character arc becoming a boss Boba. I like it and I’m here for it! Boss Boba LFG
the main problem is not that he doesn't talk, the problem is that, he bare got a screen time in his own show, and when he finally was shown, he didn't even have a line.
“This episode satisfies me more than the 3 sequel films combined” EXACTLY how I felt. Don’t worry your reaction was like all of us. I would have liked Bossk and Dengar to show up with Bane.
Yes this episode did a lot to redeem what they did to luke's legacy that they destroyed in the sequels by making him a old hermit who gave up the ways of the jedi because he attempted to kill his nephew which resulted in luke being indirectly responsible for the deaths of his students, and to many fans myself included i don't care how much they wanted to subvert expectations that was not the luke that we love from the original trilogy
How can you people be so DUMB to not realize that his Luke is completely, and 100% inspired by the sequel trilogy..?? They intentionally showcased how he´s a TERRIBLE teacher (and why what we see in Episode 8 happened) like 3 times in this episode.
I'd like to hope that in Ahsoka's series we will get the 1st encounter with Luke and that backstory. Perhaps in a flashback. As soon as Luke asked her if he will ever see her again and she said perhaps, pretty much solidified for me that they will meet up again
I don't by Ahsoka Last time we saw her she didn't believe in the Jedi ways. Same for Luke After all the jedi were wrong That's why they needed to die the balanced force
