  • Don't talk to the press and don't make public your payoff - the terms of a contract being offered by P&O to sacked ferry staff, obtained by Channel 4 News.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News...)
P&O's boss today insisted the redundancies were forced by a "unique situation".
But pressure on the chief executive mounted as the prime minister backed calls from the transport secretary for him to quit.

Obviously it's a shocking event, but it's funny how MP's go in immediately studs up and say "Resign!“..... Yet ask them about their PM or their 'honourable' cronies and they go round in circles.

Well Grant Scapps is a disgrace
Grant Shapps resigned as a minister in 2015 following revelations of his involvement with a bullying scandal that had led to a young Conservative Party activist taking their own life. Few would have imagined he could ever be reappointed to cabinet, still less to a more senior role. But in July 2019 Boris Johnson replaced the hapless and incompetent Chris Grayling as Transport Minister with someone even more discredited: Grant Shapps.
Then again, Shapps is no stranger to the art of reinvention. Indeed, he has proved remarkably inventive with his own identity.
In 2012, one of his constituents noticed that, while working as an MP, Shapps had also been peddling get-rich-quick-schemes online under the assumed names ‘Michael Green’ and ‘Sebastian Fox’. The schemes, marketed by Shapps’ company How To Corp under such titles as ‘Stinking Rich 3’, promised unwary punters that they could make large amounts of money very rapidly if they followed ‘Michael Green’s’ instructions. These included the instruction to recruit more punters to sell get-rich-quick schemes to the public - a classic feature of pyramid-selling schemes.

800 people lost their job illegally.
Unless this costs P&O significant money and affects their bottom line, they and other companies will just do it again.
Companies will just wait until their CEO is about to leave or retire, and then pull something illegal.
CEO will then move on with a golden handshake.

His sacking (already programmed in with suitable compensation) will be a political point for the government and carry on jogging.
Hopefully someone will pick this up and carry on with it. UK laws were broken! UK jobs were abandoned, illegally!
Just because the CEO goes to the altar doesn't alter the fact that the "company" has acted illegally. Therefore the company, not just one person, should be liable.

Borris back calls for P & Q bosses to resign over sakings. When is Boris going to resign after party gate?
What P & Q did is discussing and they need to pay but when Boris and his minions parted away as most of us suffer, people died alone with loved ones not even able to go to there funerals, that's just evil.
And they are still hurting the poorest and more venerable in UK, but still putting more money in their pockets and their rich friends.
ITS TIME FO BORIS TO GO.
