Seen 7 reviews of mt2, this one one has been the best.

An old school review is more informative and less emotional than modern ones

Absolutely the best & most concise video pertaining to the MT2 on TH-cam !

I am not a professional videographer or photographer by any means. I film a lot of short form content with newer iPhones. I have never used a gimbal before but purchase the MT2 two days ago.
Yes… I have seen dozens of videos about this gimbal and you mentioned a lot of things that other people haven’t mentioned. As you know, the user manual is nonexistent but only relies on QR codes to watch basic Hohem videos.
I haven’t found a video yet mentioning the different modes. Maybe everyone that has used a gimbal before knows about these modes… if it’s an industry standard type thing or not but I’m kinda lost.
I’m trying to learn the basics before I even start with the app and I do not have the remote. What does sport mode actually do? I hold down the trigger, and the S will come up on the oled but the S will not stay on.
Also… what modes are best for what shots? With me messing around in different modes I sometimes get error messages with that beep that will ruin any audio. In particular, if you were doing a very low shot and then raising up high like a drone shot.
What is the difference between PF, PTF, L & POV ??? Like I said, I have never used a gimbal before but if you get a little sideways with the gimbal, the arm and servos will not be very happy. Lol. I seen only one video where someone mentioned what mode they use most of the time, but I have not seen a video of anyone explaining each different mode or even sport mode.
With Hohem pushing the M2T very heavily lately, I feel that most people are not focusing on the simple things but only the AI tracking and the weight capability.
By the way, I am using a iPhone 14 with no accessories, and the gimbal is perfectly balanced.

That is some pretty amazing features with the AI! And the little controller is amazing.

I agree with the previous comment and as always balanced, I only question one point that you didn’t try, when outside and testing tracking, you went out of detectable distance, then returned and it didn’t go back into detecting you, however I do think that if it detected you at the 8m and lost you at the 10m stepping back into the 8m and doing the ok sign should re-enable the tracking, it would be good to know, so that in use you could do that and adjust in edit, so as to not loose continuity and time having to return to close proximity.
Excellent as you state and I have a Hohem gimble that has the remote so the extra values are interesting, particularly the extra weight and size.
    Thank you!

I'll try this and also establish the "angle of view" of the sensor as I have a feeling it is less than 60 degrees.

Just tested the range and it will detect the OK gesture at 8 metres and will start and stop tracking at this distance. The field of view is around 90 degrees in my tests

Hi thanks for a very helpful review, I just have a question, I noticed that the iSteady M6 kit can hold up to 400 grams so I'm wondering if my dji action 4 which is in a smallrig cage which allows me to attach my Rode wireless ME to it using usb c to usb c cable and connected to the cage cold shoe mount weighs 281 grams would work with the M6 because that gimbal is much lighter and would be easier for me to carry due to my arthritis, I'd be grateful if you have an answer or if you have any other suggestions, thanks

I like the function of it but it is picking up noise from the gimbal motor on both of my cell phone and GoPro. Other issue it cannot control the Canon RP to start/stop recording

Can you advise does the M2 work in ICP when I portrait mode ?

I know this isnt the video of my question but i will still ask it and i would love to hear your opinion. I would love to get a decent bride camera and i have narrowed down my options to the fz300 and the nikon b 700. Wich one should i get. Dous the f2.8 make the 60x zoom wet. Whst do you think.
Thank your very much if you ver even only to read this comment.
    Have a nice day

My personal choice would be the FZ300 for the simple reason of the constant aperture F2.8 lens. This makes all the difference for those long telephoto shots as the shutter speed can be kept high enough to prevent subject motion blur. In lower light it will also prove beneficial at all focal lengths. If you do really need the 1440mm EFL of the B700 then you must be willing to make some sacrifices in image quality used at this focal length.

Yes it is and with careful position you might be able to fit a mirrorless camera in the bag as well.

Will it support the Nikon coolpix p1000

    • @GrahamHoughton12

That camera is very much "front side heavy" and although it is under the payload I'm not sure front to back balance would be able to be achieved. If it was counterbalanced maybe restricted tilt would be available.

    • @GrahamHoughton12
      @GrahamHoughton12  ปีที่แล้ว

The Panasonic FZ2000 is a similar camera - front heavy. It will balance however the tilt range is very limited. Its OK as a studio camera that can track with AI or remote control with Bluetooth controller.

Am not recommended from my experience, low power motor and difficult to balancing
