    Thanks for taking the time to run through the basics of this tuner. Can you actually feel the power increase? I’m looking into getting long tube headers and I was told I would need to get a unlocked PCM and a tuner to do so.

      You'll definitely feel the power increase with headers. From what I've done so far I can see the difference in my times and I can feel a difference but its not crazy. I also did these mods weeks apart not all at once and none of my mods were that crazy.

    Great video as usual man. I keep coming to your channel to learn. By the way, I could see that for the fan setting the Diablo Tunner only show one temperature setting. Shouldn´t it show 3 settings for low, medium, and high fan speeds? Also have an option for when the AC is ON and when it is OFF?

    • @StraightSRT8
      @StraightSRT8  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad you enjoy the content, thanks for the compliment. As for the fan settings I would need to look into your comment closer to give you the researched answer. But off the top of my head there is only one setting because fans are either on or off as far as I remember. The AC is a great question too. Usually there is a different setting, I'll need to look into that and get back to you.

    thanks for the video. It was very informative. Do i have to keep the tuner plugged into the obd2 port constantly? or can i remove it once i have installed my tune? i understand its there for data collection but i am only looking to install the regular diablo tune, not tune it myself.

    • @StraightSRT8
      @StraightSRT8  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once you install the tune you can remove the tuner from your port.

    I noticed on the limiter screen option about top speed. Not that I'll ever test my SRT for top speed, but in several of the articles I've read about the SRT, they've all stated that it has a top speed of 160 mph. Is that governed and limited by Jeep? If so, I wonder what the actual top speed is for the SRT. I suppose the same is true with the Trackhawk, which I've seen listed as 180 mph top speed. Just a curious thought I wanted to ask. Great video. Thanks for sharing.

    • @StraightSRT8
      @StraightSRT8  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it is only electronically limited since we can adjust it with the tuner. In theory you could go as fast the gears allow at redline. However in reality it would take a while to get there due to aerodynamics and the whole bit. Plus it's still a SUV. However I have heard that the top speed is 186 but I obviously never tried.

    • @huckzilla5438

    • @StraightSRT8
      @StraightSRT8  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't have a rev limit but the vehicle revs like shit. It revs up but slowly revs down, it's nothing like revving in a manual.

      Diablo sport may not have a tranny tune for your specific year, car and model. I would call them up and confirm. Also check their website and see if you can download the tune and check your firmware, it may be out dated.

    • @StraightSRT8
      @StraightSRT8  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@midwestsrt1161 The Diablo tuner has different packages. One comes with an unlocked PCM, and one doesn't. For a 2020 model year you will definitely need an unlocked PCM. The tuner itself won't be able to modify your stock PCM, it should be able to log data and everything else, but not overwrite the stock parameters. Sorry for the delayed response.
