Yes! That was my very 1st, fully intact bottle find! I was so jazzed about it and I love the markings on the bottom! It's fun when they are clear enough to be able to research and find out what they were and how old they are. I feel like a detective when I can do that! Thank you so much for watching! ❤🌊✌

@@PlumIslandSeaCabin Hi! I did not find a shark tooth but a friend of mine did on plum island. My husbands family has a beach house in Rye that we stay at in the summer and we go to plum island a lot throughout the year. I can't wait for Sandy Point to re-open!!!! I did find something cool in Rye a few weeks ago, I thought it was a piece of pottery but as it turns out it is a very old very worn horse or large mammal tooth!
@@CherylAnn2222 Yes! I remember now! I would love to find something like that on Plum Island! I must have thought it was the Cape because of the great whites they spot there. I think shark = cape now! Haha. We have seen a few small great whites here in the island too! Can't wait for the gate to open, but I am getting a lot of steps in with it being closed! Haha
I went to Kalmus beach last Sept and found a big bag of bay scallops. I dipped them in acid and they came out so pretty. The beach is a lot cleaner in your video, it was covered in seaweed when I went. Thanks for the beach walk.
Hi Brobella! Thanks for coming along! I sprayed mine with a clear coat of polyurethane so they look wet all the time. It really made the colors pop! They were really fun to find and I am looking forward to going back! I still need to find a fully intact whelk! 🌊♥✌ Thanks so much for coming along!

Hi Kimberly! Yes! I was hoping to collect some pieces that were smooth and ocean tumbled, but I was so distracted by the beautiful bay scallops I forgot! Haha. That was the very 1st fully intact bottle I found! 1949!I love when there are markings on the bottle where we can research! I always feel like a detective with clues! Thank you so much for watching! ♥🌊✌

@Plum Island Sea Cabin • Shelling New England trying to convince the bf but I definitely want to. Keeping an eye on tide and weather and you are most welcome. It really is a nice beach, when the tide is out you can walk up to 5 miles of sea floor. I've found large conch as well as moon snail but different than the ones at plum island. More bleached out.
Hi Judy! Lol. Thanks so much for watching! I've never found a pair of waterproof boots I liked 🤣 I prefer to be barefoot, but during the winter time that's problematic 😆 I'm always looking though! Yes! The frosted bottle was so cool to find! It was my first fully intact bottle find! 🌊✌❤

I always set my intentions - collect great shells and stay dry. I am always soaked by the end of the day. Haha. It was so cold too! my hands and feet were stinging! I thawed out in the car. Thank goodness for car heaters! Thanks for always coming along on my adventures friend! ♥🌊✌

Hi Chris! Haha - the water was so cold and then my feet went numb and I was good to go! Haha. Thank goodness for car heat! I took my shoes off on the way home and my sister blasted the car heat and it was heavenly! That bottle was a super nice surprise too! I was stoked about it! My sister had a pair of Boggs that I tried on the next day and I liked them! I may be making a purchase in the near future! Thanks so much for always coming along my friend! 🌊♥✌
At 5:45, it’s not a cockle or that species (which is not found in the US). It is a blood ark, a common shell on Kalmus Beach. The other ark clam species in Massachusetts is the transverse ark. There multiple species of ark clam in Florida, including those two.
Ahhh! I wasn't sold on the Cockle when I asked a local, but they said they call them "Cape Cockles". It could be a nickname given by the locals? 🤔 but yes! I just looked up the Blood Ark and compared it! Thank you for the identification. I will be sure to note it in the video description! Also...I follow you on IG..love your finds! ✌🌊
I love your shell adventures, I watch every episode from the Cape! Not your Cape but all the way across the ocean in Cape Town SOUTH AFRICA We don't have many shells here at all

Such a great beach day. I am a car-less human in the Boston and I enjoy watching you shell . I shell in the warmer weather and try to get to beaches that are reachable by public transportation. I go to Cranes Beach in the summer when they run the shuttles from the Commuter Rail Station. Can you recommend any good reference books for shells in New England? Also, do you sell Plum Island Sea Cabin Sweatshirts/T shirts.

I don't have any great recommendations for New England Shell books, but I do have a chart that I use that had a picture and name for identification. Once I Identify I start and online search. Also - I thought about T-shirts and sweatshirts, but I wasn't sure if anyone would buy them 🤔 but since I did the sweatshirt giveaway, I had a few people ask me! My favorite beach for those type of shells is skaket in Orleans at low tide. I have found many. Worth the trip.
