Hi everyone. I'm just catching up as we were away last week. So good going to new beaches. We went to 4 new beaches. Found lots of lovely seaglass. I love all the scallops, and the shark eye is lush 😍 Won't be long until you're all over. We're getting super excited to meet you and go beachcombing with you all. Love to you all from AJ, Bertie, the Scottish beach dog, and I ❤🏴
That beach was so different, very interesting. Loved the Lady Crab. Sorry, she was expired, but so beautiful. The wampum Tracy found was stunning. Lots of fun things tonight. Thanks so much for taking us along. The video of the live Blue Crab was spectacular.
thanks Roberta! The live blue crab footage was from a 2021 video I think. Bad storm hit the island and we saw a lot of cool stuff! Thanks so much for watching and thanks for always supporting my Etsy shop!
Oh my word Jamie. I love all the shells on this beach. Those scallops are so awesome. When I saw the dark one toward the end with all the pattern on it, I was squealing like I found it, lol! I do that alot watching your vids. Those pieces of driftwood were beautiful and the pattern on the quahogs were so pretty. Really enjoyed the different beach. Amazing fun trip! Thanks and yall have a great week!
The pieces of wood with the worm holes are fantastic. I really love the blue scallops, all the colors are beautiful and they are such a large size. This was a fun video. 🐚🐌🌻🐕🥰
In my next life I’m going to live in New England and go shelling every single day! Loving all the finds in this video. Thank you so much for sharing these amazing experiences with us!🐚❤️
I do love living here Kathleen. I'm glad I'm able to share my beach experiences with you. I hope someday you'll get the chance to visit. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for watching!
OMG Sarah - what WAS that thing? It creeped me out. I mustered up SOME courage to touch it, but once I felt it - uh uh. We'll leave that right there. Haha! Thanks for watching!
Those scallops are ridiculously beautiful!! How fun that you found a live one. One of my favorites of your videos was when you showed how scallops scoot along the ocean floor. Loved your other finds, too, especially the chunks of wood & John's oyster.
Wow, you all found some very beautiful shells. Seeing the very dark shell was awesome. Love the drift wood was so cool. Seeing all the crab shells was very cool. Thank you for sharing another great shelling video. Have a great day.
So good to see yet another place to shell I have not yet been to. Good seeing your sissy, and Kim and John. Yall are awesome. Chow fir now. I'll see ya soon though. 😊😊😊😊
Multi-ribbed wenteltrap? That’s my best guess. What an absolute beautiful day at the beach!! The scallops 😍😍😍😍 one last thing and I know this sounds ridiculous but I always bring a half full bottle water with baking soda in it because you are not kidding about heartburn but drinking baking soda will stop it immediately 👍👍
Bless your heart - I've suffered with heartburn most of my life, so am feeling very sorry for you. My suggestion would be to pick up some Prilosec and when you are going shelling, take one capsule in the morning. That should keep you through the day no matter what you eat or drink. Or, keep a baggie of Tums with you in your backpack. Anyway, great finds today. Thanks for taking us along!
The purple tipped seaweed is known as Irish moss. It is collected and use to make agree after a "jello used by researchers in petri dishes as a medium for certain microrganisms.
Those pillars are from old piers, there used to be hundreds of finger piers back in the ole fishing days. All the poor people lived down by the water. Everyone had a pier behind their house.
At 7:45 look at how the slipper shell copies the ribbed sculpture of the scallop below, its substrate. That particular kind of growth has a scientific term, but i forgot.
Hi Sherry. I did add a few sets to my Etsy shop, but I think they all sold. Don't worry though. If you're still interested, we'll add more. Thanks so much for watching!
Now that I think of it, I may have 1 set left at home. if you're interested in purchasing them, you can email me at plumislandseacabin@gmail.com. Thanks Sherry!
@@PlumIslandSeaCabin No the scallop clam shells. Did they turn orange too? I think thats what they are called. i live in Wisconsin, we have Lake Michigan, no shells so i have to get my shell kick watching you and Sharmon ♥

Love the wentletrap 🎉
Which beach is this??? And yes, I love Kalmus beach for scallop shells too!! But looks like you found some stunning ones here!! 😍

I didn't know that Sara! I'm going to give that a try. Thanks for the tip and for watching!
@@PlumIslandSeaCabin be generous with the baking soda the worse it taste the better it works 😂👍
Thank you 🤩🤩💖

Great advice Suzi! Thanks for thinking of me!
awesome...!!!
Love those scallops!! What beach were you at in Provincetown?
The purple tipped seaweed is known as Irish moss. It is collected and use to make agree after a "jello used by researchers in petri dishes as a medium for certain microrganisms.
Holly smokes! I love that Abigail! Thanks for sharing!!
Many of our scallops and clams are now seeded in our bays.
Those pillars are from old piers, there used to be hundreds of finger piers back in the ole fishing days. All the poor people lived down by the water. Everyone had a pier behind their house.
Yes a Wentletrap
At 7:45 look at how the slipper shell copies the ribbed sculpture of the scallop below, its substrate.
That particular kind of growth has a scientific term, but i forgot.
You always offer us something new to think about. Thanks for the info and thanks for watching!
Are any of those beautiful scallops going to be on your Etsy ??
In my opinion, its a wentletrap. Crabs were beautiful. Are you gonna sell any of the blue ones?
Hi Robin! Are you referring to the blue crab shells I found? If so, I brought them home to dry in the sun, but they turned orange.
@@PlumIslandSeaCabin No the scallop clam shells. Did they turn orange too? I think thats what they are called. i live in Wisconsin, we have Lake Michigan, no shells so i have to get my shell kick watching you and Sharmon ♥
Ohhhh yes the scallop shells! They DON'T turn orange. The blue shades remain blue.
There are a few species of wentletrap in MA - yes, it was a wentletrap.
Thanks so much for confirming that for me! Have a great day!
Ladder Horn?
Hi Nellie! It could be. Most commenters think it's a wentletrap. It was beautiful though wasn't it?
@@PlumIslandSeaCabin yes. once I looked it up, it definitely wasn't a ladder horn. :0)
There is a little guy in there. I think the purplish scallop is a goner :(
Maybe eat earlier or something less fatty to combat the heartburn!!
But hamburgers are sooooo yummy 😋 😜
You sure don’t look over 40.
She looks 27
Awww - thank you for the kind words!
