Thanks for watching The REAL Secret to Fishing Untouched Water
Amazing vid bro!
Keep it coming
👏💕👏💕👏💕
Thanks my man!
Great video as always!! Thank you for the relaxing coffee break 👌
Love being a part of your morning coffee! Thanks for watching!
I have more fishing videos on the Chicago River then anyone! Which is why I’m so Glad this popped up ! it’s amazing. Well done video. Easy sun. Happy Fishing
It's such a cool area with so many species to target. Thanks for watching!
It would be cool to see what flies you use for trout/bass and sunfish.
I believe I was using a size 10 jigged streamer! But a wooly bugger would be the easy option. Casting small streamers is typically my go to whenever I start fishing anywhere!
Excellent video as usual.
Appreciate the comment, thanks for watching!
Great video again
Thanks for watching and letting me know you liked it!
Great video, both my brother and I recently got into tenkara fishing. We are from the Chicagoland area. It’s awesome seeing you enjoy the fishing here. We both have caught plenty of panfish but those larger fish have eluded us lol. Hopefully we will catch one soon. Keep up the great work.
Very cool!! Let me know when you figure out how to catch some other stuff. I saw so many large smallmouth here but they just were not interested!
Great video as always! Keep it up!!
Thanks my friend!
Great fish and smooth cast! All the Best. im from indonesia
Very cool! Thanks for watching!
Creek chub and red eyed Bass are mainly what I catch with Tenkara. The trout still elude me but if m just a beginner.
And soft tenkara rods are perfect for them! nothing wrong with that at all. What state are you in?
Man watching you catch some rock bass brings me back to my days fishing with my Papa in Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota! I haven’t caught one in a while! Great video as always buddy! 🎣
They bring me such joy my dude! Reminds me of fishing my hometown lake, too! Thanks for dropping by.
Yes, Green Sunfish are super aggressive, and pound for pound the strongest and hardest fighting fish in freshwater.
If a Green Sunfish were the same size as an average largemouth bass....there would be a lot of shattered rods.
They sure are! Largemouth-sized Greenies would be a thing of beauty, could you imagine?
Another amazing video! I love the variety of fish. What rod were you using this day?
Thank you Steve! It was a really enjoyable change of pace, for sure! The Tenkara Rod Co. Rocky.
Love the fishing in and around the city! No crowds and short drive to the water 🍻
I'm definitely trying to explore more water next time I visit!
Great video! I always enjoy a good urban (in this case suburban) fly fishing adventure.
Thank you! It really seems to bring out my inner child when I fish in places like this.
super solid content!!! thank you for sharing the bird stuff as well!! also the colors on the fish look so cool and look super out of this world!!!thank you!! big ups!!!
Thank you Mr. Artisan! 😆
What flies did you use?
Just answered above but in case you missed it, Jigged streamer!
Thank you for another beautiful video! You are quite right about the mystery inherent in fishing warmwater streams - it’s there sometimes astonishing diversity of species. I was hoping you might catch a longear sunfish, but the greater Chicago area might be just north of or beyond their native distribution. I wonder if a small foam hopper or spider pattern might have worked on the smallmouth? I look forward to you next angling adventure!
Thanks as always Michael! Longear are the incredibly colorful ones during spawn, right? Honestly, I'd love to travel the country and pursue all the different sunfish species. I didn't include it in the video because it ultimately led to nothing, but I tried small dry flies / foam beetles etc. as well. Couldn't figure them out!
