Another thing that's very important is that some usb cables don't work... Ones that are for charging only don't work. Swap cables before pulling hair out.
Swapped my existing cable for a gaming mouse cable I had spare and works great. Thanks heaps. Anyone experiencing connection issues should make sure its a data cable first.
Dude you saved me so much frustration.....i tried 3 cords and nothing, pulled the cord that connects a samples board to my pc and bam worked like a charm!

I bought a darkmax and frsky radio. I've been trying to connect betaflight for over a week. And I couldn't get it. So I bought 12 gauge shotgun and I was ready to do bad things to all of it. Then I saw this vid and its working now. Thank God
You need to make sure in Zadig you see STM32 bootloader NOT STM32 Virtual COM port. Typically you will see bootloader show up when you hold the button down on the FC and plug in USB. 1. Open Zadig 2. Choose Options > List All Devices 3. Select STM32 BOOTLOADER in the device list 4. Choose WinUSB (v6.x.x.x) in the right hand box 5. Click Replace Driver 6. Restart Chrome (make sure it is completely closed, logout and login if unsure) 7. Now the DFU device should be seen by Configurator
caymandiver75 yes, exactly! Zadig is for drivers of boards in DFU mode.. here, he's having a problem when not in DFU mode.. The Com port. First link in the welcome screen of the Betaflight configurator welcome screen.

Wow! Started checking my USB cables and that was the problem. Guys if you've installed all the drivers and are getting connection errors, check your USB cables first. A data cable that I got from Amazon for connecting my Android cellphone to my computer hooked me up to Betaflight the very first time I plugged it in. Set me up on COM 3 immediately. Thanks to Dobermandan for the heads up on this issue and to Albert for this video. Also thanks to Albert for helping me setup my new ET115 V2 with my Jumper T12 Plus in his other video on that subject.
Problem was the fact that the Zadig tool is for fixing the DFU driver! If the board doesn't connect and show up when in DFU mode then you use the Zadig tool to install the DFU driver which is why after you installed the driver from Zadig it later showed in DFU on the port. On the welcome screen of Betaflight it explains it all and actually has all the click abled links there on the Betaflight welcome screen. In Your case you just needed to click on the first link provided in the welcome screen. I hate that one because it makes you go back to your email to validate the download link 😆
Thanks Albert. Had been banging my head all night with ELRS niggles and a quad that seemed dead under DFU. Didn't realise I needed a separate driver for DFU, your ExpressLRS firmware for SPI video and this one (and the Impulse RC fixer) sorted it out. Up into the air we go! Cheers

I been working on my quadcopter for the last several days no problems connecting to betaflight . finally up and running. This morning I wanted to do one last change in betaflight no com. Tried different cables closing and restarting windows. Nothing I have 4 of the same boards everyone connects to com no problems at all but this one fc board. I tried 3 other fc boards no problems .Running the current betaflight tried switching usb ports as well. What could be the issue there? The fc board lights but no betaflight connection. Never changed the virtual com in betaflight either. Just got xfire up and running for the first time. And now this! This is a real love hate situation. Any advice other than updating or reinstalling these drivers? Hmm maybe that's all I have left. Just don't want messed up the rest of the fc boards that connect. Thank you!
Albert Kim it worked fine last night crazy but when plugged battery in I got the three initial beeps not the last too and buzzer was going off rapidly battery is full charge. I was running betaflight older firmware before I put it away early this year. So I found the boot button it went into bootload. Abke to flash my trusty 3.2.3 firmware ta da! It connected to com 4! I dumped my 3.2.3 get up I had had from my 3 other boards changing setup for xfire. Oh but I have no gyro! Its the jxb 145 flight stacks I have. Also noticed my stick end points are now at 2080! Lowest 900 I thought if I just turn off accelerometer just fly acro would bypass the issue but nope. Looks like I need a rework station. And or change to a better flight stack. Any recommendation s? Looking at the geprc sparrow stacks. Anyone know of a work around for that flight stack instead of reflowing the gyro? Only really fly acro.
First one didnt work, impulse RC has been searching for 2 straight days... Its not woking... So much for buy n fly tiny 7.... Got the POS to bind but wont do anything with my QX7.... Been searching videos and forums for literally 2 days and not one video helps or fixes it.
I was able to get the problem resolved. But I don’t know the solution sorry guys. My buddy who is a IT for a software company had to do it for me and do a couple of drivers manually. This was not a task for the average joe to fix mine.
Hey Albert, I got a flycolor 20x20 12a stack and tried to connect to beta and it didn't connect. I went through the steps to try to connect it but was unable to connect still. So I figured how to see what the actual driver is and it is a CP210x which I believe is the wrong driver because it has a STM32 chip on it so it should be a stm32 driver. I hope you can help, I would really appreciate it.
I bought kingkong, tiny7, for my brother to get in the hobby, but I can't connect to betaflight, I tried everything, however I went to device manager on my pc, and found it, when I right click on it, it says update driver, you think if I click the update, it will show up on betaflight then, all my other quads hook right up without doing nothing.
omg dude, after 4 hrs i tried ur device manager trick with updating driver and after a Disable/Enable and trying to force new drivers onto controller it worked (showed up as COM6 on betaflight 10.5.1) thank you!
There are real problems with drivers for Mac and MacBooks. I’ve installed the VCP bs and I still can’t connect to FC. sometimes it connects, but mostly it doesn’t connect. Even after a reboot! Really could use a fix for this if you have found any solutions or heard of any...
hope u get to read this. i have been using starf4 AIO FC for a while now. after updating to the latest betaflight 4.2.. flashed it and it will not even read USB anymore. now i am wishing i did not update anything and had left it as it is. do you have any idea what could be the problem ? there is no light or any signal or anything when i connect it to the USB like its dead but it it lights up when i connect the battery .. my other GepRC phoenix 2.5 connects fine to the betaflight configurator but i am hesitating to do any firmware update. i have tried the newest zadig and newest impuls .. but nothing. what could be the problem. please advise.
You may have flashed the wrong firmware or it got corrupted when you flashed it. Don't worry, just power up the board again with the bootloader button pressed down and it will power up in DFU mode and you can reflash it again.

I posted a comment several months ago about how I got around all my windows driver issues by going with a chromebook and using the Chrome apps. Well, I just tested with a $35 Raspberry Pi 3 and it works!! The raspberry pi uses chrome and so the chrome app is available. It works on at least on the first three copters I grabbed off my wall. I tested all 17 flight controllers with my chromebook and they all worked the first time. I don't have the time or motivation to confirm that with the rasberry pi but I have a feeling that it will work just as flawlessly. I am actually on my raspberry pi 3 typing this comment right now. I will say that BLheli-32 doesn't work with the chromebook and I don't expect it to work with the raspberry pi either because it isn't supported in the chrome app. But $40 to never fight drivers again? BLheli_S chrome app also works. that's your call. But it would be an easy one for me.
Hello, I have a windows 10 laptop and neither Zadig or the Impulse rc driver fixer works, I have checked device manager for any errors with any USB ports, there are none, I can connect to BF to make config changes but can not enter DFU for firmware updates...................any thought you may have are appreciated....................

Hi Albert, did exactly what you've shown in this video and mine still wont work. I am using the same drones as last year. I am using the same lead in the same port. I have tried different leads in different ports. Nothing seems to work. Any other suggestions?? My comm port says comm4 whether boards are plugged in or not. I am pulling my hairout with this and because of the situation we're in (coronavirus) I cant even borrow another computer to try. Any ideas regards Jonny
UPDATE (Shame on me): After reading this tread (www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3070957-Solved-Impulse-RC-driver-fixer-Unexpected-number-of-devices-detected) I scraped in between the bootpins with a scalpel and now everything works. Apparently I failed to solder this part properly. But I still wonder, why this Problem occured after the flashing procedure.
My baby hawk keeps switching from sbus to spectrum in the configuration tab. I am using an Frsky xm receiver. My radio is a taranis qx7. What would cause this?
I flashed my board with bf 3.2 now I’m having the same issue except when I plug the usb back in I don’t get the connection chime. Do you know what the problem is?
I ran the software from ImpulseRC, i need to do so with google closed. It did eventually work and told me the drivers have been corrected, or something like that. I plug in FC and can see it listed in the Devices; Port 38. Looking at Cleanflight there is no Com numbered 38. What's going on!
Have you tried a different cable? A different USB port on the PC? When you try a different FC does it work? If so, the FC that isn't responding might have a broken USB port.
I ran across this issue with a fly egg 130 I ended up get the drivers fixed and connected but I can’t seem to flash the board because I get a bootloader error I have tried holding boot button while turning on but no luck any help would be appreciated!
why do they go bad? have you ever had it where everything works just fine one second, every board you have, then without doing anything other than just pluggi in a new board and using inav instead of BF and the. nothing works? when about 20 minutes before inav worked, BF worked, all your FC worked? on a brand new laptop with windows ten? is there somthing wrong with the stand alone apps? does every board need to be re flashed?
I fixed all my driver issues by swearing off Windows and going with a cheap chrome book. I have never had a reason to dislike Windows until I found this hobby. I .....!!!! HATE !!!!..... Windows for this USB driver Bull$#!+. It's so unnessearry!!. I downloaded driver tools and this and that and tried and tried and hated this!!! I almost gave up on this hobby twice until i bought a chrome book. I have never had a driver issue or a failure to connect to beta flight since. It just works!! No hoops, no driver tools, no nonsense!!
I just tested all my quads and spare FC's (16 in total) and all connected with my chrome book without driver issues. I obviously haven't tested it with every single FC on the market but of my eleven quads (some of which i have not flown yet and some that have not even been connected to at all yet) ALL of them connected with my chrome book with no driver issues. Some of those eleven quads that all connected include the Youbi XV 130, the Eachine Lizard, and Eachine Wizard X220S among many home builds using knock off banggood FC;s and legit PikoBLXs and Omnibus FCs too. All 5 spare FC;s That I currently have on hand including a PikoBLX, HGLRC XJB V2, and knock off 20mm Omnibus F4 and F3 targets work as well. No failures to connect. I did have one home built quad that I have never flown that was only available through command line in betaflight and I think that FC might have clean flight on it or something but I probably could flash it with betaflight and get it working. Some of these FC;s did take some time to fully boot up first but all were able to connect inside of 20seconds of being plugged in and many needed gyros calibrated but all of them looked great on the betaflight graphical representation of the quad moving with the copter after that. Pretty awesome solution in my opinion. It makes a great little portable programming solution for field tunning and battery life of this chrome book (Samsung model XE500C13) is AMAZING compared to any laptop I have used previously. Battery life is easily triple your typical laptop. As I understand it, these chrome books use a smart phone style processor which are MUCH more energy efficient at the trade off of raw processing speed compared to a typical style PC processor. Other down sides of chrome book include a small learning curve to the operating system but isn't really that bad, no CD drive, and memory Hard disk drive space is limited (but mine has a micro TF slot for memory expansion). Not sure that I can properly state how much of a game changer this chrome book was for me! By far, worth the investment for this hobby in my opinion.
Great question, short answer is that I think we have to assume for now that the answer is no. I don't use Blheli 32. I use blheli and betaflight as chrome apps from the chrome web browser app store. They both work great for what I need. I looked briefly and could not find a Blheli 32 chrome app and I tried to install it from an online source and it was only available for MAC and PC. Update: I did also read several places that the blheli chrome app does NOT support blheli_32. I messaged one of the devs about whether blheli_32 was possible using a chromebook on the intofpv forum. No response yet.
i have an HGLRC Forward f722 mini. it will not register on the pc. i have tried multiple cables. re-installing drivers. along with rc fixer and zadig. red and blue lights on flight controller are active. but nothing will communicate. i have tried the "flash on connect" and still nothing because the pc wont recognize it. any ideas. besides getting a st-link and doing it that way?
Got problem with betaflight. Just plugged in the usb and connect. Betaflight connected show data in log but it does not show the display( e.g configurator, modes, pid, ext. ). Please help me
It might be a corrupted flash (need to reflash) or you have a configurator firmware mismatch. Configurator is newer and the firmware on the board is older.
How can you do this on Mac? I’ve seen bunches of videos on how to fix the drivers but nobody else seems to be on Mac. Please help any advice is welcome
I don't have a Mac, but I'm told the USB problem is not due to drivers since Apple is in control of the drivers. It might be the cable or a physical defect on your Mac's USB port. It could also be a problem with the installation of Betaflight on the Mac.
@@AlbertKimTV ive deleted and re installed betaflight and ive checked the port and nothing seems to be wrong with it. the cable and port that im using worked fine before i ran the hid cdc command to use my drone with a simulator and now it wont connect to betaflight. ill try deleting it and re-downloading it again to see if that helps. if you have any other suggestions im open. thank you for such a quick response!
so i re-installed it and its still not working. the thing that made me think its a driver issue is that it connected perfectly fine until i ran the command "set usb_hid_cdc = ON" so that i could use it with a simulator. it still flies but i cant connect to betaflight.

So what should I do when ImpulseRC and Zadig BOTH don’t work? I’m on windows 10, I’ve tried different cables, when I plug in my quads none of them respond to betaflight and windows doesn’t even make the *device plugged in* sound. I’ve gone to device manger and had to install the ports manually. Still nothing. I’ve even gotten a fresh computer and installed beta flight and drivers...NOTHING ☹️. Really stumped here. Please help!!!
I assume you're trying to flash the FC and it won't go into DFU mode? I've had a few FCs like that. I haven't found a solution for that. If you simply can't connect at all, I suspect the FC is no good or the USB port is damaged physically.

I would agree its the FC but it would seem unlikely that all my FC's failed at the same time especially since one of my quads is still flying but can't connect to betaflight. I have also tried on multipule usb ports, different computers, and several usb cables. nothing will connect to betaflight and cant flash any of my FC's so its quite frustrating. Before I spend money on a new FC I'd like to get Betaflight working. Again any input would be great thank you.
Albert Kim thanks for your help. I was able to get betaflight working again. I’m not entirely sure how because I worked on it all night but eventually after reinstalling the drivers about 3 times and restarting my computer each time I tried out every usb cable in the house and gave up and went to bed at 4am. At 7:30am I turned on my computer and plugged in my quad and lo and behold it connected to betaflight. Again appreciate your feedback.
When I do the part at 3:00 and install WinUSD and after look in Device Manager the FC shows up in the Universal Serial Bus Device list. This is not normal, right?
I have this com port issue when trying to connect my ARFUN 95 Pro. The other issue I have is that I only have a MacBook Pro and can’t seem to find any software that can fix my drivers. Totally frustrating.

Have you tried the solutions in the video? If those didn't work, you need to do some PC driver hacking which is gonna be impossible to explain here and very technical here. Basically, the COM port driver isn't working right and you need to replace it with the ones from the links in Betaflight configurator. It's really annoying and took me hours to fix a friends computer. I had to search on TH-cam for a bunch of different tutorials on PC driver hacking. Every PC is gonna be different, so I would need to sit down in front of your PC to know which videos to search for. Sorry, this one is gonna be too hard to fix for me.

I have a Omnibus f4 v5. I get a solid green light when I plug in usb and there is no sound of connection. For me I flashed the wrong firmware. I flashed Omnibus instead of Omnibus SD. What should I do is this something I can fix??? … Zadig doesnt even see the stem3 driver. and beta flight doesnt even detect any com ports. I have tryed just about everything. its like the usb connection is not detectable. did me flashing the wrong firmware screw up my omnibus f4 v5 ?? do I need to buy another?

When in zadig I don't see stm321 in the list of devices I have down loaded every driver listed in inav. Any advice would be helpful

Hello. This was help me solve the problem with Beta Flight Configurator V10.0.0 and Omnibus F7V2 board.
Problem was the fact that the Zadig tool is for fixing the DFU driver! If the board doesn't connect and show up when in DFU mode then you use the Zadig tool to install the DFU driver which is why after you installed the driver from Zadig it later showed in DFU on the port. On the welcome screen of Betaflight it explains it all and actually has all the click abled links there on the Betaflight welcome screen. In Your case you just needed to click on the first link provided in the welcome screen. I hate that one because it makes you go back to your email to validate the download link 😆

I have an F3, that I didn't use since about a year ago. It all worked perfectly, but now it wont show up... its on BF 2.9.x I guess (org Eachine wizard). Cable and BF configurator work just fine with another quad.

I been working on my quadcopter for the last several days no problems connecting to betaflight . finally up and running. This morning I wanted to do one last change in betaflight no com. Tried different cables closing and restarting windows. Nothing I have 4 of the same boards everyone connects to com no problems at all but this one fc board. I tried 3 other fc boards no problems .Running the current betaflight tried switching usb ports as well. What could be the issue there? The fc board lights but no betaflight connection. Never changed the virtual com in betaflight either. Just got xfire up and running for the first time. And now this! This is a real love hate situation. Any advice other than updating or reinstalling these drivers? Hmm maybe that's all I have left. Just don't want messed up the rest of the fc boards that connect. Thank you!
Sorry to say it, but I think you need to delete the USB drivers and re-install.
Albert Kim it worked fine last night crazy but when plugged battery in I got the three initial beeps not the last too and buzzer was going off rapidly battery is full charge. I was running betaflight older firmware before I put it away early this year. So I found the boot button it went into bootload. Abke to flash my trusty 3.2.3 firmware ta da! It connected to com 4! I dumped my 3.2.3 get up I had had from my 3 other boards changing setup for xfire. Oh but I have no gyro! Its the jxb 145 flight stacks I have. Also noticed my stick end points are now at 2080! Lowest 900 I thought if I just turn off accelerometer just fly acro would bypass the issue but nope. Looks like I need a rework station. And or change to a better flight stack. Any recommendation s? Looking at the geprc sparrow stacks. Anyone know of a work around for that flight stack instead of reflowing the gyro? Only really fly acro.

I was able to get the problem resolved. But I don’t know the solution sorry guys. My buddy who is a IT for a software company had to do it for me and do a couple of drivers manually. This was not a task for the average joe to fix mine.

Hey Albert, I got a flycolor 20x20 12a stack and tried to connect to beta and it didn't connect. I went through the steps to try to connect it but was unable to connect still. So I figured how to see what the actual driver is and it is a CP210x which I believe is the wrong driver because it has a STM32 chip on it so it should be a stm32 driver. I hope you can help, I would really appreciate it.
when you unplug the board the CP210x driver disappears or stays there?
I bought kingkong, tiny7, for my brother to get in the hobby, but I can't connect to betaflight, I tried everything, however I went to device manager on my pc, and found it, when I right click on it, it says update driver, you think if I click the update, it will show up on betaflight then, all my other quads hook right up without doing nothing.
omg dude, after 4 hrs i tried ur device manager trick with updating driver and after a Disable/Enable and trying to force new drivers onto controller it worked (showed up as COM6 on betaflight 10.5.1)

For me the ImpulseRC fixer program normally crashes at the end but still fixes the port.

There are real problems with drivers for Mac and MacBooks. I’ve installed the VCP bs and I still can’t connect to FC. sometimes it connects, but mostly it doesn’t connect. Even after a reboot! Really could use a fix for this if you have found any solutions or heard of any...
hope u get to read this. i have been using starf4 AIO FC for a while now. after updating to the latest betaflight 4.2.. flashed it and it will not even read USB anymore. now i am wishing i did not update anything and had left it as it is. do you have any idea what could be the problem ? there is no light or any signal or anything when i connect it to the USB like its dead but it it lights up when i connect the battery .. my other GepRC phoenix 2.5 connects fine to the betaflight configurator but i am hesitating to do any firmware update.
i have tried the newest zadig and newest impuls .. but nothing.

You may have flashed the wrong firmware or it got corrupted when you flashed it. Don't worry, just power up the board again with the bootloader button pressed down and it will power up in DFU mode and you can reflash it again.

I posted a comment several months ago about how I got around all my windows driver issues by going with a chromebook and using the Chrome apps. Well, I just tested with a $35 Raspberry Pi 3 and it works!! The raspberry pi uses chrome and so the chrome app is available. It works on at least on the first three copters I grabbed off my wall. I tested all 17 flight controllers with my chromebook and they all worked the first time. I don't have the time or motivation to confirm that with the rasberry pi but I have a feeling that it will work just as flawlessly. I am actually on my raspberry pi 3 typing this comment right now. I will say that BLheli-32 doesn't work with the chromebook and I don't expect it to work with the raspberry pi either because it isn't supported in the chrome app. But $40 to never fight drivers again? BLheli_S chrome app also works. that's your call. But it would be an easy one for me.

I have a windows 10 laptop and neither Zadig or the Impulse rc driver fixer works, I have checked device manager for any errors with any USB ports, there are none, I can connect to BF to make config changes but can not enter DFU for firmware updates...................any thought you may have are appreciated....................
Install the STM32 driver from the link on the Betaflight configurator start up page.

I have a problem, when I try to flash my SPRacing F3, it was successfully flashed, but then it begin to verify files and then Betaflight writes me STM32 - timed out, programming: FAILED. What's the problem? Can you explain me?

Hi Albert, did exactly what you've shown in this video and mine still wont work. I am using the same drones as last year. I am using the same lead in the same port. I have tried different leads in different ports. Nothing seems to work. Any other suggestions?? My comm port says comm4 whether boards are plugged in or not. I am pulling my hairout with this and because of the situation we're in (coronavirus) I cant even borrow another computer to try. Any ideas

It worked. And now after flashing the software, the flightcontroller is stuck on FDU mode... Failed to open serial port while on manual settings.
UPDATE (Shame on me): After reading this tread (www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3070957-Solved-Impulse-RC-driver-fixer-Unexpected-number-of-devices-detected) I scraped in between the bootpins with a scalpel and now everything works. Apparently I failed to solder this part properly. But I still wonder, why this Problem occured after the flashing procedure.
My baby hawk keeps switching from sbus to spectrum in the configuration tab. I am using an Frsky xm receiver. My radio is a taranis qx7. What would cause this?

I flashed my board with bf 3.2 now I’m having the same issue except when I plug the usb back in I don’t get the connection chime. Do you know what the problem is?
The board might be stuck in DFU mode and the driver is missing. In that case you can try Zadig to replace the DFU driver.
Albert Kim Zadig isn’t seeing it either
I ran the software from ImpulseRC, i need to do so with google closed. It did eventually work and told me the drivers have been corrected, or something like that. I plug in FC and can see it listed in the Devices; Port 38. Looking at Cleanflight there is no Com numbered 38. What's going on!

When I plug my ESC in my PC doesn't make the connection noise and when I use impulse rc all it says is searching for FC
Have you tried a different cable? A different USB port on the PC? When you try a different FC does it work? If so, the FC that isn't responding might have a broken USB port.

I ran across this issue with a fly egg 130 I ended up get the drivers fixed and connected but I can’t seem to flash the board because I get a bootloader error I have tried holding boot button while turning on but no luck any help would be appreciated!
Unfortunately I don't know what to do when the dreaded bootloader error pops up.
why do they go bad? have you ever had it where everything works just fine one second, every board you have, then without doing anything other than just pluggi in a new board and using inav instead of BF and the. nothing works? when about 20 minutes before inav worked, BF worked, all your FC worked? on a brand new laptop with windows ten? is there somthing wrong with the stand alone apps? does every board need to be re flashed?

I fixed all my driver issues by swearing off Windows and going with a cheap chrome book.
I have never had a reason to dislike Windows until I found this hobby. I .....!!!! HATE !!!!..... Windows for this USB driver Bull$#!+. It's so unnessearry!!. I downloaded driver tools and this and that and tried and tried and hated this!!! I almost gave up on this hobby twice until i bought a chrome book. I have never had a driver issue or a failure to connect to beta flight since. It just works!! No hoops, no driver tools, no nonsense!!
Chromebook! Really!!!???? That's cool... had not heard about this solution before... might have to grab one for configuring in the field...
I just tested all my quads and spare FC's (16 in total) and all connected with my chrome book without driver issues. I obviously haven't tested it with every single FC on the market but of my eleven quads (some of which i have not flown yet and some that have not even been connected to at all yet) ALL of them connected with my chrome book with no driver issues. Some of those eleven quads that all connected include the Youbi XV 130, the Eachine Lizard, and Eachine Wizard X220S among many home builds using knock off banggood FC;s and legit PikoBLXs and Omnibus FCs too. All 5 spare FC;s That I currently have on hand including a PikoBLX, HGLRC XJB V2, and knock off 20mm Omnibus F4 and F3 targets work as well. No failures to connect. I did have one home built quad that I have never flown that was only available through command line in betaflight and I think that FC might have clean flight on it or something but I probably could flash it with betaflight and get it working. Some of these FC;s did take some time to fully boot up first but all were able to connect inside of 20seconds of being plugged in and many needed gyros calibrated but all of them looked great on the betaflight graphical representation of the quad moving with the copter after that.
Pretty awesome solution in my opinion. It makes a great little portable programming solution for field tunning and battery life of this chrome book (Samsung model XE500C13) is AMAZING compared to any laptop I have used previously. Battery life is easily triple your typical laptop. As I understand it, these chrome books use a smart phone style processor which are MUCH more energy efficient at the trade off of raw processing speed compared to a typical style PC processor. Other down sides of chrome book include a small learning curve to the operating system but isn't really that bad, no CD drive, and memory Hard disk drive space is limited (but mine has a micro TF slot for memory expansion). Not sure that I can properly state how much of a game changer this chrome book was for me! By far, worth the investment for this hobby in my opinion.

Great question, short answer is that I think we have to assume for now that the answer is no. I don't use Blheli 32. I use blheli and betaflight as chrome apps from the chrome web browser app store. They both work great for what I need. I looked briefly and could not find a Blheli 32 chrome app and I tried to install it from an online source and it was only available for MAC and PC.
Update: I did also read several places that the blheli chrome app does NOT support blheli_32. I messaged one of the devs about whether blheli_32 was possible using a chromebook on the intofpv forum. No response yet.

i have an HGLRC Forward f722 mini. it will not register on the pc. i have tried multiple cables. re-installing drivers. along with rc fixer and zadig. red and blue lights on flight controller are active. but nothing will communicate. i have tried the "flash on connect" and still nothing because the pc wont recognize it. any ideas. besides getting a st-link and doing it that way?
Got problem with betaflight. Just plugged in the usb and connect. Betaflight connected show data in log but it does not show the display( e.g configurator, modes, pid, ext. ). Please help me
It might be a corrupted flash (need to reflash) or you have a configurator firmware mismatch. Configurator is newer and the firmware on the board is older.
How can you do this on Mac? I’ve seen bunches of videos on how to fix the drivers but nobody else seems to be on Mac. Please help any advice is welcome
I don't have a Mac, but I'm told the USB problem is not due to drivers since Apple is in control of the drivers. It might be the cable or a physical defect on your Mac's USB port. It could also be a problem with the installation of Betaflight on the Mac.
@@AlbertKimTV ive deleted and re installed betaflight and ive checked the port and nothing seems to be wrong with it. the cable and port that im using worked fine before i ran the hid cdc command to use my drone with a simulator and now it wont connect to betaflight. ill try deleting it and re-downloading it again to see if that helps. if you have any other suggestions im open. thank you for such a quick response!
so i re-installed it and its still not working. the thing that made me think its a driver issue is that it connected perfectly fine until i ran the command "set usb_hid_cdc = ON" so that i could use it with a simulator. it still flies but i cant connect to betaflight.

So what should I do when ImpulseRC and Zadig BOTH don’t work? I’m on windows 10, I’ve tried different cables, when I plug in my quads none of them respond to betaflight and windows doesn’t even make the *device plugged in* sound.
I’ve gone to device manger and had to install the ports manually. Still nothing. I’ve even gotten a fresh computer and installed beta flight and drivers...NOTHING ☹️. Really stumped here. Please help!!!
I assume you're trying to flash the FC and it won't go into DFU mode? I've had a few FCs like that. I haven't found a solution for that. If you simply can't connect at all, I suspect the FC is no good or the USB port is damaged physically.

I have also tried on multipule usb ports, different computers, and several usb cables. nothing will connect to betaflight and cant flash any of my FC's so its quite frustrating. Before I spend money on a new FC I'd like to get Betaflight working. Again any input would be great thank you.
Albert Kim thanks for your help. I was able to get betaflight working again. I’m not entirely sure how because I worked on it all night but eventually after reinstalling the drivers about 3 times and restarting my computer each time I tried out every usb cable in the house and gave up and went to bed at 4am. At 7:30am I turned on my computer and plugged in my quad and lo and behold it connected to betaflight.

When I do the part at 3:00 and install WinUSD and after look in Device Manager the FC shows up in the Universal Serial Bus Device list. This is not normal, right?

Have you tried the solutions in the video? If those didn't work, you need to do some PC driver hacking which is gonna be impossible to explain here and very technical here. Basically, the COM port driver isn't working right and you need to replace it with the ones from the links in Betaflight configurator. It's really annoying and took me hours to fix a friends computer. I had to search on TH-cam for a bunch of different tutorials on PC driver hacking. Every PC is gonna be different, so I would need to sit down in front of your PC to know which videos to search for. Sorry, this one is gonna be too hard to fix for me.
I dunno if you will see this, but i am having an issue with betaflight getting stuck at rebooting after updating to the newest 10.5.1.. and flashing to 3.5.7 firmware

I have a Omnibus f4 v5. I get a solid green light when I plug in usb and there is no sound of connection. For me I flashed the wrong firmware. I flashed Omnibus instead of Omnibus SD. What should I do is this something I can fix??? … Zadig doesnt even see the stem3 driver. and beta flight doesnt even detect any com ports. I have tryed just about everything. its like the usb connection is not detectable. did me flashing the wrong firmware screw up my omnibus f4 v5 ?? do I need to buy another?
