This video saved me. My meteor65 pro had erased its own memory. The company I got it from couldn’t figure out how to fix it, BetaFPV couldn’t figure out how to fix it. MANY emails back and forth with the manufacturer and the sales company in the US over many days couldn’t figure it out. I watched your video and 15 minutes later my quad was working. I’m in my 70’s and was very frustrated with it all. This morning BetaFPV said that my FC was defective and they had offered to replace the quad. I tried the drive fixer as a last ditch effort. Quad is bound to the TX and working. Thanks for posting this video!!!

I put I ticket in for repair and they say “dew to a shortage of parts” basically they can’t do anything… US tariffs blocking parts needed I assume…quad has never been crashed. I hand launch and land… I think it’s a firmware issue… So.. I just have to do a restart, quad works fine. Guess I have to live with it… 🤷♂️ At least till the next firmware update. Thanks again!
Thank you, Noob here and am trying to set up first Drone. GEPRC mark 3 with a T18. Somehow I cleared my firmware and no UARTS were showing. Still cant get T18 to work consistantly, but you got me so i can at least connect to drone in Betaflight.
Jesus lad iv being trying for the last week to update all my quads with no success...tried to update drivers through betaflight still didn't work ...so went on TH-cam and found this vid and omg within 10 mins I downloaded impluseRC and bang all my drones went into dfu mode and updated them..... Drain man all i want to do is reload my original 4.1.5 into my hglrcf405 and for the life of me i cannot get that firnware to load. The problem is if i load a higher fm level then 4.1.5 my rcvr won't bind and i cannot solder the rcbr to update new fw cuz the rcvr xm+ is incompatible and i cant solder cuz my hands whake to bad. What can you recommend. Jus5 so you inow my rcvr green, red lught both stay on? I can really use sone help!!

It has an emax osd that I cant change, and the reception is crap like 10ft away it cuts out. So I did this firmware hoping it will fix it but it didnt. First time i actually understood what the heck the video instructor was talking about! You do a great job of explaining and showing what your doing so it can be understood! Most go so fast and don`t explain alot of things, i guess assuming everybody knows it! Thank You! Liked and Subscribed! Quick question. I got a new bnf drone that bound to transmitter and everything works on radio right, But in Betaflight it connects and shows osd, and settings, but can get no stick movement in receiver tab, and no switch movement in modes tab. I got latest version of B.F. and can`t set modes or do any changes to drone in B.F. except the OSD. Would be very thankful for any help!
Hey friend! Sounds like you aren't bound and/or you have the wrong protocol set. What type of receiver do you have, make sure configuration is set to that receiver

I think I will just take this one to a hobby shop, and see if they can figure it out. in the version of bataflight i downloaded it doesn't show the software it just shows successful. Also my radio didn't work at all. I had to add ibus on the bootloader screen not the other stuff and it fixed the problem. you might wat to tell people about this. thanks

Don't understand it says: An error occurred while entering bootloader! Access to the port 'COM3' is denied. While trying the impulserc driver fixer. Have tried over and over all different ways but says same thing.. I can use betaflight fine with COM3 but cannot enter dfu..? Please 😣.

Tried the driver fixer and all you mentioned in your vid, but no cigar. When I plug in a lipo it makes all the sounds for ESC tones, but FC stays solid red. New FC needed at this point?
The LEDs are really different on all FCs it's hard to say that a certain color is bad or good without knowing the model. Which FC do you have? Have you checked the board for a short circuit?
@@DrainManFPV thanks drainman!! It's the HGLRC FD445 Forward F4 Mini. I flashed it to bf 4.1.4 and all was well but I don't know what I did but I saved something and then nothing after that. One thing I noticed was the target was omnibusf4v6 and bf had that target but what was in parentheses, after omnibusf4v6 (airb) was different than the hglrc one. So target omnibusf4v6 was same except what was in parentheses after it.. Would that make a difference? So u have a video on checking for shorts? Sorry semi noob when it comes to that.. thank you very much for help btw!!
Yes you can flash different versions with the same Config, I am not sure exactly which version will not flash which version though. All you can do is try.
Hi i have a question My fc connects, says com5-Matekf4 and will connect too Is it normal for it to dissconect when you select firmware flasher tab or must it be in dfu mode while in firmware flasher I can access dfu mode But if i connect in flash mode i get failed to connect to board in the message bar I have unplugged gps/rx/vtx Can i still flash the board
What if the FC isnt recognized at all by the pc? I have a brand new mamba f7 22 mnk4, when i plug in the usb only the red led comes on, no gyro no mcu no nothing. Holding the boot button doesnt do anything.

I did this to my Moblite7, (yes, correct target and latest stable version), but it is not the same as original. Receiver was set up wrong, VTX not working, it is useless. My first drone... wasn't working from start. I am so frustrated. I waited 3 months for delivery :(

Look at the camera while talking and your audio has a bit of static like your too close to the mic. and get a haircut hippy. *jokes
ImpuiseRC Driver Fixer fails repeatedly. An old thread in RC Groups claims disconnecting the R-XSR receiver fixes the problem. I haven't tried it yet so stay tuned. Whoever has a pipeline to the BF Devs needs to tell them this is total B.S. if that is the solution. Having to rip everything apart just to do this should not be required. Especially if the receiver is jammed in a place that makes it hard to disconnect. This hobby seems to be filled with more hurdles and stumbling blocks every time we want to make a change. And the community wonders why people get so frustrated. . Update: Apparently this was the case. I had to open my frame and disconnect the R-XSR. I disconnected the vTx while I was at it. This is a pretty inconvenient and counter-intuitive step. One shouldn't have to go to this length to do something so simple. I hope BF fixes this because pulling on such a thiny connector or de-soldering after everything is together is a hassle. Also there is this thing with vTx Tables. Another hassle.

Dude. I messed up and clicked something in the firmware and now it won't even connect to betaflight anymore. Did I just completely mess up?
