I find that in some cases things haven’t changed much, while in others I find interesting how much things have changed for service members. We’ve come a long way!

Beautiful set. Just 2 years after these cards came out the whole world would be turned upside down. Foreshadowing that the 2 German cards did not show the swastika.
I love this set. Have had my eye on them but haven't picked any up. It is surreal and interesting to see the (future) Axis powers presented from a neutral perspective. I know there's at least one image from a memorial service for victims of the Hindenburg disaster and it shows American and German (swastika) flags displayed side by side. The image of the Hindenburg itself adorned with swastikas flying over Manhattan is equally eerie.
