    Great machines, tough as nails ! What i like is that the design of the arm and frame of the most of the yanmar mini's has not changed much over the last 10 years except for the external panel's which is a testament to the design.

    Two things: That switch that makes it beep constantly (11:33 &12:00) in the video, switches from aux hydraulics to making the boom hydraulic swing side to side using the thumb switch. Also 12:44 there's a button switch on top of the blade control lever and it switches it to fast travel mode.

    One tip, when tracking keep your boom lower to the ground and your stick tucked it, this will keep the machine more stable and you will have less of a chance tipping your machine! Great little mini ex!!

    Nice video! What made you choose the 2.5 ton size? I have used a 1.7 ton and a 3.5...for tight residential work I like the 1.7 but maybe the 2.5 might be a great compromise. How has business been since the start of your adventure? Sorry new to the channel but I will go see what other videos you have. Cheers Mark

      Its a heck of a machine for the size unfortunately I tried breaking into the market when covid hit & I fell back into working healthcare. Tho I don't use it much I am still wanting to get back into working it when I retire. Thanks for stopping by the channel!

    I’m a firefighter/paramedic and been in it since I was 17 when I went to EMT school. Looking to get out of it. Started small with a tractor but now looking to expand with a mini ex. Got 5 more years and I will have my 20 years in and all 5 of my kids will be in school and wife can work and have insurance. I plan on playing with big boy toys with way less stress. Keep up the good work and keep the rubber side down!

    the beeping when your PTO/offset boom button is on offset boom mode is really annoying, if you remove the plastic cowl below the right hand control stick you can disconnect the beeper. best thing I did.

    I am Happy for you .... get some practice digging holes in your yard . Dig ditches , trenches etc , all for fun and practice . It will start coming as a part of your body . The art is digging it up , then covering up nice and clean without leaving a giant mess . I want a excavator and I hope to get one within the next year . All my equipment is old , I spend a lot of time fixing , repairs hydraulic lines etc . Sometimes I get overwhelmed but once it's running again I have so much fun . Don't let nothing get you down , Push on , dig like crazy , learn from the good guys . Go hang out with some of the old timers ///Ask them if you can hangout on the job site , watch and learn . There is a science to it . Some of these guys are incredible . They are so fast and do a amazing job .

    Great video! I'm sure you will do well with your business. I have many friends that have run earthwork businesses and they all seem to make a good living. 29k for that mini ex seems like a fair price. I have been tooling at used takeuchi's and they are 30k with 2000 hours. I'm in OK.

    Nice machine, learn to use more than one movement at a time. Don't make it a habit traveling with boom up and stick out like that.
    When switching buckets push power button and turn to dismount or mount. You dont need to hold switch over.

    Think that one is big enough to clear fence lines, removing 3” thick and smaller trees?

    • @SRTPCC
      @SRTPCC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is but here's the thing. I initially thought it would just pull 'em right out. Nope. Sometimes it takes bucket, boom, & arm cylinders all pulling together(breakout). I can get much bigger ones out easily. And if you're talking stumps, you might be able to go up to 30". Just will take longer. My vertical lift is almost 1200lbs. Thanks

    • @TF856
      @TF856 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SRTPCC you're right about pulling bigger stumps out. And you're right about using several different cylinders all at the same time. You can generate a lot more force by prying with the bucket instead of just pulling with it. Get plenty of seat time and learn those tricks.
      I am anxiously waiting to see you provide more videos with that beautiful machine. I really wish I had one. I live vicariously through people like you who do have one. So please provide more videos. And if you have any questions I'm sure somebody on here can answer them for you.
