      Yeah, agreed! We have gotten the deer comfortable enough with us that we can feed them about 10 feet away. A couple of them walk up to us and wait for us to throw food now. lol. We occasionally see turkeys here, but that’s pretty rare.

    This machine looks like it has a way better build quality than any of the others I've seen on here. Much more thoughtfully designed as well. Seems like it might be a good middle ground between one of the big brands, but also not an auction special.

    This looks like a real winner, I gotta say! I have a Massey Ferguson subcompact tlb, I love that thing, but will say I would have looked hard at a machine like this (but even less capable, w/o 3rd function up front) had I known they existed at this price point. A 48" bucket, plow/snow pusher, stump bucket, and forks, I'm good! A few years ago, I bought a stand-on mower, man it's so much better mowing on that thing compared to sitting on a tractor...I would imagine it's the same thing doing bucket work and plowing snow. And with that said, I'm curious about yours, like I notice 2 things there in the operator pit. First there's no pad to lean against, isn't that a problem? For instance, you're leaning against a metal cabinet when rolling into a dirt pile, doesn't that hurt? And related question, that red key, doesn't your hip bang against it? Anyways, great vid, I subbed to see your other vids of this machine. Merry Christmas/happy new year.

    Great video. I’ve been looking at mini excavators but now I’m thinking a skid steer might suit me. I originally wanted to do primarily trenching with the ex, but might consider one of these with a trencher attachment. That and my 250’ gravel driveway that needs annual maintenance. The local auction house seems to have many similar ones but it sounds like you pointed out some key differences with yours. I’ll have to go and take a look at them in person.

    • @OurLifeInTrees
      @OurLifeInTrees  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have a mini excavator and loved it until I got this. Now the excavator just sits because almost anything I can do with the excavator I can do with the skid steer.
      The excavator is better for digging holes. It has a small finer tooth rake for cleaning up brush and yard debris. The skid’s 4in1 bucket may work well for some of that as well? It’s also good at trenching and moving the dirt out of the way, the trencher will make a dirt pile. Maybe trenching across a gravel driveway you don’t want a dirt pile?
      I’m sure I’ll find more differences as I move forward using the machines.
      Check out a Facebook group for Chinese mini skid steers. A lot of guys are having a lot of problems with the cheap auction units. Some are good, most are bad. Check into the specific one first.

    I like the prop rod idea. I'm wondering if some kind of bolt or pin couldn't be put through the holes while it's installed as a prop rod, to keep it from slipping off the shaft. I'd be concerned any sufficient movement could jar it out of position, eliminating it's effectiveness.

What I don't understand is the load capacity on yours is rated at 390KG, mine is only rated at 200KG despite being similar weighted machines. Mine does not have counter-weights though, so that probably gains you an extra 100KG or so, but I think your lift capacity may be over stated.

They've been selling them to Australia a lot. Very high quality machines by the sounds of it and they've been making the HY-380 for like 12-15 years! I bought mine directly from the manufacturer with a 3 gear pump for about 6K + shipping from China about 3 years ago. @@OurLifeInTrees Compare that unit to the ones that Ritchie Brothers offers ( AGT Industrial LRT 23 as an example ) and there is no comparison. This one beats theirs hands down on everything but the price. But theirs is not as capable. For one, theirs does not have the auto leveling arms. Two, the fuel tank is set low and would be a pain to fill as it is right at your feet. Three, your sides extend back to form a sort of cage that will protect you and also keep you from falling off sideways if you make a sharp turn. Four, yours had the hydraulic lines that are metal inside the arms for protection. The AGT's are on top of the arms where they could get damaged more easily. 5. Throttle is better located. 6. Motors are up high and not down low like on the AGT. 7. I think theirs is either a one or two pump machine. Not a 3 pump as when you operate some attachments, it affects the drive system. And the list goes on. So for twice the price, you really got more than double the machine.

      . I am working on a cost breakdown. The machine was $8500 shipped to me in Oklahoma and then the attachments are in a separate crate and cost a little less at around $8k

      The machine was about $8500 shipped to me in Oklahoma. I opted for DDP which means I didn’t have to worry about a customs broker or any fees or hassle. DDP makes it so easy.

    I 2nd that on the intro. Well done. The rest of the video was good too. My mini skid has the same lights. I find them to be too brightly focused. I'll be changing mine to flood lights. I swapped flood lights onto my mini ex and love them. I'm curious if you think flood lights would suit your needs better also?

      @OurLifeInTrees  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. I appreciate it.
      I just moved it tonight after dark and yeah, I agree with you. They are very bright but very focused. It would be better if they had a wider light pattern like a flood light. Maybe I’ll look into doing that as well.

      @OurLifeInTrees These are the ones I put on my mini ex. I made a 2nd mount on the left side of the boom. One light is pointed lower than the other, created a nice even light pattern. No glaring hot spots.

      I bought a small, I think 21”, light bar to mount to my cage just under the roof of my mini excavator. I mounted it, but still need to wire it in. These would be awesome as well. I might change my plan. Thanks for your help.

    • @OurLifeInTrees
      @OurLifeInTrees  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just let Dean know what you want and he will send an invoice. You pay a percentage down and they start production. Pay the remainder when it ships out. Use DDP shipping to you in Texas and you need a forklift when it arrives to unload. If you pay with a CC alibaba charges 2.9% extra. It’s pretty easy actually. Hope this helps.
