Love your ride height. Right where I will be putting mine. But think I am going with the T6 units with dampening adjustments. Great job once the lex looks great. And congrats one award.
these coilovers have dampening adjustment on them as well! I appreciate it man, I really like the height as well. thank you!! let me know how they turn out!
Bought these for my 94 ls400 and seriously they are the worst coilovers i've had. Spring rate was wrong for the front ones and the bushings were shots after a summer of driving.
a lot of people do it differently from front to back but I wanted to be able to rotate the wheels when I wanted and im broke so they are the same all around
they held up good for the 1000 miles I put on them. my only complaint is the suspension bottoms out easily. the springs need to be stiffer. you could probably swap out the springs and they'd be perfect. sorry for the late response!
I'd be thinking of putting a Jzx100 body kit on it from Kunnyz or any drift style for it but i personally dont like VIP styles they look boring compared to drift style
if u have the different sleeve like I had to get you could slam it as low as you want pretty much. the only problem that people struggle with when slamming it with these coilovers is that the springs are not stiff enough and u need to either get different springs or just get a nicer set of coilovers. but if you want to ride at the same height as me or maybe a little lower you could probably make it work
nice! my only complaint so far is the suspension bottoms out pretty easily. stiffer springs would fix that. it doesn't bother me all that much so imma just rock it👍🏻 lmk how it goes!
no I dont. I havent scraped on anything yet. because the springs aren't very stiff and the suspension bottoms out easy I have had my tires rub 1 time turning up a driveway. but that's about it
restoring a 1994 ls 400 currently, glad to see other people are STILL building these
thats awesome!
For anyone else, Maxspeedrodz came out w a bettter coilover....highly recommended for the price!
U gotta get the ones wit dampening.the newer ones than this one in video rides smooth
mine did have adjustable dampening on the tophat
is there an even newer set than these?
Just bought one in the same spec! Looks good. I have some issues motor wise but should be good soon!
thats awesome man!! that's super exciting, I hope you love the car
crazy the difference just coilovers and rims make for this car. Got mine two weeks ago
I know right! absolute game changer man. thats awesome! what year??

tires are 225/40ZR18 92W
I have been looking for a 1991 Lexus, black, for a long time. I need help finding the same model that is new and has a clean and tidy interior.
they are hard to come by! their value is only going up and clean examples of one are even harder. especially in the 1991 model
Bought these for my 94 ls400 and seriously they are the worst coilovers i've had. Spring rate was wrong for the front ones and the bushings were shots after a summer of driving.
yeah they bottom out very very easily. but im okay with it for now. I cant afford anything else
Looks great !! Question, So the fronts you went 4 1/2 " instead of 5" ?
a lot of people do it differently from front to back but I wanted to be able to rotate the wheels when I wanted and im broke so they are the same all around
@sexus400 got it !! Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻 how far are the maxspeeding coilovers holding?
they held up good for the 1000 miles I put on them. my only complaint is the suspension bottoms out easily. the springs need to be stiffer. you could probably swap out the springs and they'd be perfect. sorry for the late response!
@@sexus400 thank you
Do you think I should cut my stock cups they sent me for the back I can’t get it low enough
just get ahold of speeding rod coilovers and they should send you shorter ones
I'd be thinking of putting a Jzx100 body kit on it from Kunnyz or any drift style for it but i personally dont like VIP styles they look boring compared to drift style
agreed. if I had that much money to throw at this car there would be a lot of things already done but it just hasn't worked out that way haha
Lexus 1991, one of the most beautiful models. Please return its original tires. It is more beautiful.
I agree. it really is. I probably won't unfortunately haha
Have you ever installed a gear shifter on your LS 400
no I have not. I've looked into it sum, but not much
was thinking about getting these but also maxxing them out, how low do you think itll be off the groud?

Wow 🎉.
I love lexus 400
me too!!
Looks like I’ll be getting max coilovers
nice! my only complaint so far is the suspension bottoms out pretty easily. stiffer springs would fix that. it doesn't bother me all that much so imma just rock it👍🏻 lmk how it goes!
Do u scrape on speed bumps at that height
no I dont. I havent scraped on anything yet. because the springs aren't very stiff and the suspension bottoms out easy I have had my tires rub 1 time turning up a driveway. but that's about it
Riding on 18's or 17's? Tires? Typically 18's look the best in my opinion.
I'm on 18s👍🏻
Worst coilovers money can buy 😂
probably true but they work for my budget
