@@bullpencycles He seems like a great shop dog. just picked up a used old lift today so was researching ahead of time. Mine is an older narrow import but good for my light weigh vintage two strokes and I got 5 NOS 18" tires thrown in. I gave $200 but could have bargained(no need for that IMO). Glad to see the update with an honest review where these cheapies aren't always the best - especially with down time and mother money to be made/save. That bearing issue was ridiculous. Appears we are in a race to the bottom!

I have two Handy lifts in my home shop, never had a lick of trouble with them. Moral of the story: buy the real thing.
Yes, I just found another used handy for $300. Still works like new! What a deal!
You need to dry the air coming from the compressor. Water results in rust in the cylinder and thus leaking seals. Also put air tool oil in the line supplying air to the foot control valve from time to time.
I've actually never had a problem, but I'm in a conditioned interior space
@@bullpencycles Air conditioning helps but does not reduce the humidity in the compressed air to zero.
Ha... I have that lift, had it for 4 months now. Was just watching your vids and this playlist and happened upon this vid. Thanks, will check it over but I've had no problems with 2 full bike restos on it already.
I bought mine originally maybe two years ago. It's fine now that I fixed it. Let hope that they got better since and yours works out fine. Like everything, they're more expensive now too.

Big fan. Great video. Just returned Harbor Freight 1500lb Aluminum cycle lift....500lb Suzi 650 VStrom ADV rear side lifted lower than front 3" and barely lifted bike. Junk. Had similar steel one that lifted 800lb Harley good but gave to Harley buyer. Hope your channel grows as I am trying to grow my channel to monitize. Will share this where I can on social.
Welcome and thank you. Yes, some folks swear by those HF lifts but I'd never trust my bike on those. I hope to monetize too - but reaching that magic subscriber number seems like an impossible task unless lightning strikes me while I'm riding and I can catch it on video. I am taking off on VStrom next week...GoPro 10 to Moab and high Colorado dirt passes with big youtuber and will ask viewers kindly after careful edit to thumb up and sub. Not into huge influence, just hope to inspire a few to get back on two wheels and make a couple bucks to ride more. Your stuff is great.

Quite a collection! Bultaco, Rickman, Ossa, is that a real Wankel or an RE-5 on the other lift? The '70s were great for dirt bikes!
