Im liking the space saving Mc550, also the way the entire rear of the ramp comes off is a good feature! And that MCL500 looks great!

SEALEY haven’t really understood their market imho. We need a lift that will take the full length of the average proper motorcycle (not scooter). So without the ramp fitted about 1800mm - 2000mm worktop length. The ramp needs to be long enough to load a bike safely, not so short that the bike bottoms out on the bench. The worktop/bench needs to be compact yet wide enough to support most bikes on paddock stands, without the paddock stand over hanging the bench (450mm - 500mm wide would be ideal for small and larger garages). For the DIYer, putting a 700mm wide bench/lift in a typical domestic garage of a 3 bedroom house is not practical! For most motorcyclists 400Kgs weight support is fine, if not plenty. Air and/or electric is ideal but too expensive currently. There’s no earthly reason why your MC680A model should cost twice as much. It’s pure greed. Sealey, write to biking magazines and ask them to conduct surveys on what motorcyclist think is the ideal (non professional lift)... do your own online questionnaire on your website.... use Facebook or any other media to build a better picture. BUT PLEASE DON’T rely on your engineers (or just me) to tell you want we want! ASK! ASK! ASK! Also, look at the competition.... look at ProBike lifts! They’re expensive (or equal to your upper lines) but, if we’re honest they run circles around Sealey lifts for sheer practicality and function, they have clear, clean lines. Sensible size benches (which are modular) and they have excellent user functionality.

I thought the ramp wasn't too bad, it's the actual platform that needs to be longer, OK for short bikes but for your average grown up bike it's too short.

Absolutely useless!!!!! My GS is well under the posted weight limit for this ramp (MC365) by about 100KG so just assumed it would take the bike easily but no! Even with the bike stop fully forward the bike doesn't go on far enough to be able to get the main stand onto the main platform of the lift; it's a good 2" still on the ramp section, it's not wide enough to be able to put the side stand down so you're stuffed, nothing else to do but wheel it back off, bloody hopeless. It's just long enough for a little paddock bike, I notice on the video that they conveniently skip passed the part where the guy puts it onto the centre stand. I had to screw some stops to the garage floor as even with the legs screwed down so the casters are off the ground; as soon as the front wheel hits the ramp the bloody thing just shoots backwards across the garage floor. It's built from the flimsiest of metal, how this thing is supposed to support a bike that is nearly a third again the weight of my GS I don't know? I'll be getting on to the supplier tomorrow to see If they'll take back this piece of junk, if you have a "normal" sized bike then DO NOT!!! buy this thing, anything bigger than a 125cc and it's not for you!!! So disappointing after waiting so long for it to be delivered.

Sealey is just generic overpiced Chinese items.
Even a quick ebay search will bring up the same lifts at half the price.
