    I love how these guys online always choose bolts that are not stuck. Stuck bolts don't come out that easy.

      Are you sure the bolts aren't stuck?

      Yes the bolts is not stuck. Do you know why? Size of the bolt is way bigger than the reverse tap. If you said the bolt breaks, that means the mechanic must try very hard to take the bolt out with a ring tool. In your video, you just use adjustable wrench and its not even at the center at the pointed bolt you drill. And its just come out easily. We have this kind of job everyday dude. 😂.

    Does the prior 'hole drilling' always (as in totally always) require a left hand drill? What if I only had a right hand drill in the right size, at a particular moment? I understand that a right hand drill might unnecessarily tighten a broken stud or screw, but is there something else I'm not seeing here? Thank in advance guys..👍

    • @toolsforwork
      @toolsforwork  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The drill bit is only divided into forward and reverse, right? Will there be a difference between left and right hands?

    • @ghian696
      @ghian696 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@toolsforwork I mean that the type of drill bits we all use most often, turn and cut while spinning in a 'clockwise' or 'right hand' direction. The drill bits recommended for what you are doing, (and they are ALSO available in sets) these drill bits are designed to rotate in an anticlockwise directionwhile while drilling. I was asking if these drills (ie: 'left hand' or 'anticlockwise turning' drill bits are the only type that can be used for removing a broken tap or stud.

      @@ghian696drill bit makes no difference, just drill the hole the correct size for the screw extractor.

    • @ghian696
      @ghian696 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robc1014 Thanks mate for responding to my question - your reply is just as I thought and common sense.
      I got confused temporarily as some "easy out" systems 'appeared' to involve eg: using an electric drill (with both forward and reverse rotation selection option) to employ a LH turning drill bit... to drill the hole down a broken stud - before hammering in an 'easy out'. But with a broken engine stud, you'd normally put a spanner on the end of an easy-out - and try manually turning it out, gently. Even then they can often break in the case of an experienced user.
      There is one brand in Australia however which is double ended - it's a pack with 4 sizes - ie: reverse or extractor on one end and a left hand turning 'cutter" on the other end - requires a reversible electric drill, and I guess, really intended for smaller mild steel studs/screws/munched screw heads etc. Ironically, I think I just answered my own question.
