MedicMagic hey a question for help so did you get the motor build from online pro so you can put it back together for a better price or is that how they send back to you . Also how was the service for you.
Hey man, for us they sleeved the block then bored out the sleeves to fit the pistons and they micro polished the crank for us. It was about $1400 for all of that, they can completely assemble the short block for you if you want but its about another $1200 for that! Service was good they did a great job and did great work...went over their estimated time a little bit but it was all good! Hopefully that helps!
Love your content bro. Lots of potential. I have a very similar build to yours. I spent about $3k for the entire kit used. Boosting an S2k is worth it. Used parts are available all day. Been going strong for 3 years
I recently turbo'd my s2 as well and made 516hp/386tq on 14lbs safe tune... THE TUNE IS EVERYTHING Borgwarner s366 (diesel turbo $600) Straight line performance manifold $1200 Arp manifold bolts $150 FX-400 6 puck $500 Greddy intercooler $600 Aem infinity ecu $1600 Aem fuel rail and regulator $250 Ati Fluid damper $400 TIAL wastegate & bov $500 Hks hi-power 3inch exhaust $700 Ptp wrap and turbo blanket $200
@@user-zv5ve7zm1w i just added the break down cost, but with tune ($600 e85+91) and getting piping all welded so no leaks around 7k. There's kits out there of course for 2k cheaper, but this way you get better understanding of what is what and how/why it works or doesn't.
@@user-zv5ve7zm1w yeah you definitely get what you pay for in the boost world. I just bought a new style of the same turbo and a new guage, going for re-tune on Monday finally get to use the controller.
You need to factor in an upgraded clutch and flywheel, also u should talk about the ap1 and ap2, if you have a ap1 you will want to do ap2 oil banjo's and ap2 values might as well do a baffle at the same time when you have the pan off. If you plan to track it
I definitely understand the smiles per gallon factor lol my civic was only around 260hp but definitely pretty fun. I was probably right under 2500 though when it was all said and done. Gotta pay to play though lol
I want to do a turbo kit on my S2000 I was also thinking of doing a supercharger just because of the ease of the install and also because it is VTEC and the RPM of where the motor makes its power I think a supercharger would be good for the low end so I have not made up my mind yet but I am definitely going to be doing something in a year's time
Was everything pretty much bolt on or did you have to cut or drill anything or relocate anything. I’m looking to turbo my S2K soon but I don’t want to cut, drill or relocate anything and I’m also trying to save some money from buying a kit and just kinda put together my own kit
Why not tell us what the price of the engine build was? Just curious... ;) Also, just a note on giving your vid's, a bit more production value, having some b-roll with a shot of the engine bay and pointing out what pieces your talking about here or there, or maybe even shots of the indiviual pieces before they were installed, like the custom manifold Ben fabricated, would go a long way to up the production value of your vids. Love the content you have been making and honestly I can't believe you "only" have 4.1k subs, and I hope you get a bigger following in the future!
I really appreciate the input! I’ll keep those things in mind for the next video! Just gotta keep going and be consistent...we’ll get to those big sub numbers one day!!
How many times did I say "The next biggest thing"

@@TurboSkx Honestly 7k for 500+hp on a car is nothing.

man imagine if i charged you to polish those parts for the manifold..........you're lucky I am a nice guy
Thanks for the video man. I'm thinking about turboing infiniti g37 coupe. It did for pretty pricey. Bit I think it'll be worth it.
Thanks for the info. I’m doing one now and similar ballpark, nice build

What have you thought of
Forgot about the downpipe and the pipe for the wastegate but other than that I spent about the same amount to boost mine
Please post what is built in the engine sleeved, Pistons, connecting rods? What brands as well?
I would like to see how much you spent on the engine build
“Stay tuned” lol I’ll make that video shortly!
Yes am looking to build my motor every soon And looking at for a good budget plz do a video on motor build coast plz..
Did you keep your AC or did you purchase the relocation kit? And any heating issues?
How long did it take for cxracing to deliver?

I might be crazy but I want to twin turbo my tundra 5.7L. I’m guessing it will be close to 5k? But idk.
Twins gonna almost double your price but you can do it on the cheap if you do the work yourself like we did!
How much was the engine build?
About 5k give or take
Subscribed!!! I appreciate the the helpful content.
Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
Love it
More expensive than I thought.......
The price of turboing a car is very dependent on the car. Gonna cost you more to turbo a 370z then it will a civic
Someone type all this out with links 😭 I’m gonna mod my Honda S2000 and I want it turbocharged
If you cant even look up parts you definitely wont put the effort into modifying a s2000.
“The next big question is” ...... how much was your engine rebuild???
