I bought my stepdaughter a used iPhone for Christmas and was totally unaware of this issue. I felt bad because I bought her a broken phone and also because I was out $300. No phone repair place would touch it. I tried this and it's fixed!!!! More amazing is by following your directions, I was able to put it back together perfectly! Thank you so much!!!

Best solution ever. I tried almost every method to fix the touch disease, but they weren’t as a permanent solution as this one that ISmart demonstrated right here. I tried cleaning the inside of the phone with a toothbrush. That didn’t work. I tried putting a SIM card inside of my phone to connect the screen to the phone that didn’t work. I tried restarting and resetting my phone. That didn’t work as well. ISmart earned that Nickname. I wouldn’t have been able to fix my phone without him. I didn’t have red adhesive tape, but I used double sided and black electrical tape to place them on the two components to connect the touch screen to my phone, and it worked very well for me. So far the touch screen disease didn’t come back for a week. I thank you ISmart.

It really worked. Thank you for the clear instructions! I didn't want to spend having it repaired yet again and since it's not covered with warranty anymore, decided to give this a try. So satisfying to experience opening up my old iPhone and actually have it in working condition again for my kids to use.

This was an extremely helpful tutorial on how to fix the "ghost touch" problem.
However, I want to give a warning to anyone with a 6S Plus. There are a couple different points in the video to be aware of.
    1) Don't forget to disconnect the power-button connector before lifting the motherboard. It loops under the motherboard and around to the top. This connector is different on the 6 Plus, so it is not in the video. Just be careful.
    2) The two points to apply pressure are not in the same positions either, so you need to be a little more creative with your method.
I just finished doing this, though, and it looks like everything is in working order again. I'm leaving the phone on to see if any problems come up, but it's been roughly an hour already and it's still perfectly responsive.
    Thank you so much!

those screws are tiny. But to make a long story short I followed the video and i'm happy to report it "Worked" !!!!!. Just take your time and pause the video in case you need more help. Yes I lost a few screws but my iPhone 6 Plus is working again. Thank you and God bless.

2018-12-05 I have just done this and , so far, no touch disease. Thanks very much! I'll report back on how it goes over time.
2018-12-15 It’s been 10 days and iPhone is still working great.
    2019-01-24 iPhone 6Plus still hasn’t missed a beat.
2019-09-24 my iPhone is still working with no problems. I didn’t apply any heat to the Touch chip but that is recommended in the latest version of this fix. Have a look at the new version released 2 days ago also.

What I did to fix mine (so far it’s worked 2 days) is take as many screws out of the motherboard as you can and pry on the side gently while tucking in tightly folded paper shims. You can take out the motherboard and put electrical tape on the back as a shim but my screwdriver hates half of the screws in that phone.
This video is an absolute godsend so far, thank you.

I did this tape trick and it worked for about 9 or 10 months from November 2018 to yesterday September 21st, 2019. Part of it is probably because the tapes adhesive (electrical tape) was good but over time just stopped working and started moving around and I stopped the phone many times these past two months so I think it wasn’t as tight I redid the process about 4 months ago btw and it worked but now it just doesn’t anymore so I guess that’s it for my 6 plus time to downgrade to my 5s 💀, did the tape trick again today December 20th and I fixed it but I pryed the battery out so now I need a new one and a new WiFi antenna because I always loose a screw and break something when I take iPhones apart.

A VERY competent repair person! Like I was in my younger years! Very sharp eyesight, and steady hands! I wonder is this is more with the iPhone6" as it had a softer aluminum? They changed to a stronger aluminum in the 6S and Plus I read?

Yes it works. If still not working try adding another layer of adhesive. Depending on bend in phone it may need more. Not too much however, can cause pressure on screen/digitizer that is visible when touching screen.

Brilliant! How did you figure this out? And you should be a surgeon. I've never seen hands so steady. Sometimes it take me a minute or more to position a single screen. Great video!

I would like to try this one. Looks easy. I already tried to fix my iPhone6plus once, I replaced the LCD. After a while some part of the screen does not work. Like I can swipe it to the left and to the right but when I try to switch it off the screen does not work. I can't also press the 4/R button. So I ordered another LCD replacement. If the LCD replacement still has the same issue, I would definitely love to try this one. I'll save this video for my future reference :) Also please give me advise if it's the LCD that really has the problem or just the motherboard itself? Cause I feel like I waste money to buy a new LCD replacement. Thank you.

big clutch. I tried the solution but didnt have enough layers so i took it apart and put it back together with more layers. It did make the problem less worse but it still does the thing every so often.

Mine has no bent at all but had Ghost touching issue. I saw video where putting a tape onto the LCD connectors would solve the problem. I tried it and my phone is still working fine.

Hi, thank your for the video. I have a question: I followed all the steps and closed the phone again, but now I see 4 light, vague white stripes on the screen (vertical direction). Do you know what I've done wrong? :( I hope you can help.

Didn’t you need to disconnect the battery first? Also do you use magnifying glasses when working on the phone. I find that it was all so much smaller when I did it in real life

    • @iSmart1
      @iSmart1  5 ปีที่แล้ว

No need for a magnifying glass
