- In this video I unlock the performance potential of my BMW. This is accomplished by coding to unlock hidden driving modes that are not unlocked from the factory in most regions. I cover all that in this video.

I currently have a downpipe on the same car rn it makes loud upshift fart noise that you’ve mentioned it the video. no tune just downpipes atm.

Great video as always and I standby some of the best bmw content on TH-cam. I still think next to esys the best coding tool is protool by Bimmer geeks and BMW always seems to hold back on some options hidden by coding maybe they save em upcoming models who knows but what I think your essentially saying is the 330 needs just a little more which is why there is always the next option up which is the 340i. But kudos to you Musa you bridge the price gap using some simple coding. In Canada the difference in price between the 330 and 340 is like 20k I think most can live with the 330 and open up some additional life in the engine with these coding options.
Nice video. I coded in sport+ and did a stage 3 xhp on my f25 n55 as well.
I need to figure out how to code out the nannies though. Theres been too many times that traction control kicks in and i lose boost because of it. From what i understand, its because its an SAV that traction control is always there even when its "off". Im sure theres a way, i just need to learn german and study the expert mode more in bimmercode

definitly needs a little more power. as soon as I'm out of warranty I am doing the down pipe, intake and tune. It will do wonders to wake the car up. The b48 is too subdued from the factory. I wish BMW made some kind of 330ti with a 300hp slightly more powerful and theatrical b48 to help bridge the gap in performance between the 30i and 40i engines. I just want a little more juice from the b48 but still want to avoid the significant added weight of the b58.
I did this a few months back on my G22 ( 430i xdrive ) and the car feels completely woken up. Definitely a must when bimmercode is only $40 and a quality OBD adapter is $20.
What else have you done to that g22 Brodie ?
@@balencimeech Dinan cold air intake and charge pipe, Dinan tower strut braces, JB4, bunch of CF interior trim, CF duckbill spoiler, CF rear canards and front lip, CF gas cap cover, CF M sport exhaust tips, 50th anniversary emblem swap on wheels and hood and boot ( seriously all 2022 bimmers should of came with that logo ).
Was going to get an aftermarket exhaust but the only one that sounds good to me is the Chinese F1 and that shits like $3,700 which is as much as the OEM performance muffler so ill just leave it stock.
With JB4 I’m down to 4.5 seconds 0-60 and my quarter mile is 12.2 ( 113 mph ) which is perfect for my needs. Any faster and id kill myself.
What is the difference in acceleration with sport plus you think 0-100?

Looks I have the same spec on my '19 330. The one thing I noticed is that you are getting power above 4k. Mine has a noticeable power drop off above 4k rpms. I do have a vrsf catted DP
Are any of the extra modes including sports plus and comfort plus work on a G20 330e? Given that the torque converter is replaced by and electric motor, is the gearbox flasher offer anything in this situation?

Great video. I have a 2020 330ix April 2020 build. Unfortunately I think I have to bench unlock so I went with dinan. Problem is the car bricks with any idrive 7 update. So they had to lock out any idrive update.
Question. Do I need to bench unlock dme with mhd. If so do you know how?

Thanks! It’s great, especially if you want to do a mild tune. If you wanted to push power and upgrade the turbo I would go with a 330i. A 330e will be a lot faster overall with a stage 1 tune if you’d be happy with that level of performance. I like the simplicity of the 330i as I plan on keeping it for a long time. It’s the last of a conventional ice engine with a traditional transmission.

My E-90 oil pan gasket recently stopped leaking. The oil indicator is at the max line. This item has been leaking for the two years I have owned the car. The dealer changed the oil four months ago and commented on the "gusher" coming from the oil pan. End of story. Thanks for all your vids and comments.
Is adaptive susp. good? Only opt. missing on mine (blue as yours) taught it would be better to slap a KW in the future when the og ones will wear. Mine handles incredibly well, big and balanced, stiff chassis and lighter than it looks!
Does doing all these updates affect warranty. would you have to decode them when you go to bmw for maintenance?
Hey Musa, getting ready to order the last few parts for a manual swap on my 2011 335i. As far as “while your in there” maintenance goes, would that be the best time to do engine mounts with the trans out, or does it not make much of a difference? Anything else you would recommend while the car is down?
Hi Samuel, I would change the shifter selector rod seal while the transmission is outside the car.
@@VehicularDIY Will definitely pick up a rebuild kit while it’s out. Do you feel the engine mounts are easier to get at with the trans out, or would that be a job I could tackle later?
Did you need to bench unlock your dme to do the coding? Because in my research it looks like to do anything really software wise I need to spend like 500 do unlock my dme
As u certainly know, or so I hope Sir : All different "Driving Modes" do not affect, in any way, the Engine management. It only affects the the Throttle resolution.

Are there things to flash on the E82 135i to add features?
If you want dsg farts on upshift get an exhaust. Just a muffler delete on my 2019 330i gave it those and loud burbles and pops on downshifts.
How big turbos does 330i , 340i and M3 G-series in stock? Like G25, G30 sized turbos? Wht kind of turbo will you add?
The stock turbo on the 330i is nearly maxed out and a tune doesn’t add much power. I have a turbo called an IM450 on the way. Should be good for 400 whp with E50. 450 whp on e85 which be plenty for this car.
So with the app u basically get remap without remap?
Pretty brave tuning on CANVAZ 91 pump octane crap gas.
Going to have to stay conservative on 91 but will have an e50 tune which should be good for around 400 whp. Plenty for this platform.

If you have adaptive suspension I’d say so. If not it would feel about the same as eco pro.

Not really, just requires money spent on the fueling system if you want to upgrade the turbo. The HPFP and injectors. Bottom end wise it’s about the same.

There is a difference. Gen 1 to Gen 2 b46. gen 1 is 248 hp 258tq gen 2 is 255hp 295 tq. probably from just tuning

You could have explained a little what xhp is. I had no idea...
It’s been mentioned a lot in previous videos, so I’m sure that’s why he didn’t go as in-depth this one. It’s a trans tuning software that allows the trans to run at higher line pressures(to increase torque capacity) and reduce shift times(rougher shifts but you become a speedy-boi). There’s options for a slight performance increase overstock, to tunes only meant for the racetrack. With their Stage 3 and below flashes, there is no increase in wear if your trans is already in a healthy state.
I don’t know about the 330 but on my 340 XHP 3 makes a huge difference

No it's more aggressive, when in regular drive mode it is very smooth. I ran Alpina then XHP on my E90 and XHP was significantly more aggressive.
