Never thought of inverting the boxes ... great idea!! I use the Amazon boxes all the time and just remove the stickers, etc. as you said, but I do like the inverting thing!

what i do sometimes i get a piece of white computer and glue down the areas that i dont want to show. mainly amazon envelopes .turning the box inverted may be best way thanks fo boxes---PEACE

A small heat gun - or my preferred hot air soldering station on a low temperature - is great for removing all labels and tape from boxes.

Yes but not really needed. Very easy to peel off in almost all circumstances.

I do the wrapping but I make real sure that it is nice and tight because any loose paper could rip and open or get caught in the post office's machinery and destroy it. I sometimes tape it all over lengthwise or width wise to create a plastic covering over it.

Or just reuse the box as it stands, with your label on top. Your customers can see you're reusing stuff and trying to reduce your impact, they won't care what the box looks like. I don't see why this needs to be so overcomplicated :/

Cutting the box to invert it so that it shows the clean side is a great idea, but the box is significantly weakened at that point, because the one corner has no support other than tape. Boxes are engineered to withstand abuse when they are intact, so you'd have to be sure that what you are shipping could withstand a possible break in that tape. A good option would be to use a small strip of cardboard stapled to the interior, reinforcing the cut corner to create a stronger box. You'd have to have a special stapler to do it correctly.

Sure but that’s why you tape it up well. Yes you can use a reinforcing strip of cardboard too. No stapler needed. I’ve done it many times with no problem.

As a Packaging Designer look for the small flap that is on the inside. Most packages have the small flap glued to the inside. Heavier items they are staples. If you peel the flap portion, you can invert them box then use strong gorilla glue, tape or staples.

Companies like Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.. encourage people to reuse their boxes. Simply try to cover all or most of their logo and you're good. I use brown shipping tape. Paper tape works great too.

why all that work???? just cover up the tape or remove it and cover the amazon logo! this is a mess! not to mention inverting a dirty box that has been on the ground to put items inside is disgusting and I feel bad for your customers.

It's actually very fast when you are not doing an instructional video about it, lol. It's just an option for those who want a cleaner box look and do not want to cover the logo. Not a mess at all. It actually looks great. If you received it, you would be be thrilled beyond belief. Check my feedback. Been selling on ebay since 1999/2000 and it is 100%.
