Great video!! I’ve worked for UPS for 28 years. At one point I would trouble shoot packaging problems for major shippers in a test lab. One tip is to tape all package seams so top and bottom are taped in an “H” pattern. It increases the strength of the box quite a bit.

Tip from working in a warehouse. Tape the boxes in an H pattern. After taping the seam tape the edges forming an H.

Awesome how to video! When I was still new to shipping, I was so paranoid that things will break that I used to wrap everything in bubble wrap. Now I know better. My tip is to go to your local Starbucks and ask for cardboard boxes. They have heavy duty different sized boxes. I also use shredded documents as fillers or ads from CVS or grocery stores because I hate peanuts. Please make a video on how you research an item you are not familiar with and how you determine the price.

Very educational. Thanks. But one thing I do with any kind of glass wear for the first layer is gift wrap tissue paper. I get them from dollar tree. I had a bad experience that was sent through Kinkos that the bubble wrap tore some some of the lace of a doll that was dipped in porcelain. (this was from a family member) So I cringe anytime I see glass just wrapped in bubble wrap. Also just for lil more protection I stuff the tissue paper in the glasses,

Another awesome, informative video! I actually am pretty lucky… I have a guy in my neighborhood who installs shutters and window treatments. He throws away humongous bags of bubble wrap and thin styrofoam padding. So every once in a while, I just text him and he brings me huge bags full of packing for free. I love that I’m repurposing the packing and saving the landfills a little. And I get it all for free. (I actually give him an Amazon gift card for Christmas every year so he doesn’t feel like it’s a waste of his time). I highly recommend finding a business near you (not you, but anyone) and getting their free packing materials. 😊

I use both bubble wrap and packing peanuts. About 90% of my items are glass and porcelain. I’m too nervous to try paper although it would be much cheaper! It’s just my method has worked well for me, so that is what I’ll stick with.

I ship vintage Christmas ornaments and really relate to several of your tips! Not letting the glass touch another is so important! I make cardboard dividers to separate the items and strengthen the boxes as well as using a little extra tape (H pattern). I use primarily tissue paper because a lot of the other packing material is too heavy for the ornaments.

Love this thank you!! I'm a new reseller, this info helps us newbies! I'd love to know how you do your shipping labels? Do you weigh each individual package? Do you have a set range per box like like 3.5 pounds = 12.88 shipping if it's within certain box dimensions? Everyone seems to do or use something a little different I'd love to know how you do it. Thanks!

I really appreciate the knowledge you are sharing with everyone but I do have a question and/or request. Residing in the lower tiers of cash flow this data point is vital when making buy decisions especially when paying up for an item. Thank you in advance.

Hello, this is the first of your video's I have seen...it was helpful and I appreciate it. I went to your website to view your items - but was surprised to discover that you apparently do not sell on any of the large platforms, eBay/poshmark/etc. Is that so? If so, how did you build a large enough following to sell just on your own website? If there is a video on that I would certainly want to watch it. Thanks
