    I really love Laura’s take on eggs. When I first became a carnivore I used to only eat pasture-raised eggs. They got too expensive after a while so now I only eat regular eggs.!!

    This is more of a realistic Carnivore haul, especially for normal folks with normal income. Goal here is to try to eat as clean as possible but the reality is there will be some additives here and there. Buy as clean as you can for your budget.

    I've been on the Carnivore lifestyle for six months. I'm eat OMAD and my meal consists of chicken, beef, pork, bacon and eggs. A little bit of each, like one chicken wing, a small hamburger and so on. However, at the end of summer I started adding red onions 🌰 salad dressings with relish and pickles to my meal. Needless to say I started getting headaches, cramping and weight gain. 😢 So starting today October 1st, 2023, it's back to just meat, salt and water. I shop for myself only so I try to staying under $200 a month on just meat, butter and eggs. I kind of fell off the wagon but I am dusting myself off and getting back on track. Thanks for the great video, I always enjoy seeing what other Carnivores are eating.😀

    I’m already amazed at how much my grocery bill has dropped by doing carnivore (in my first 30 days). It’s exactly the extras that make grocery shopping more expensive….packaged, processed food, impulse buying food I didn’t really need, multiple trips for fresh produce, salad, fruit that would go bad. I’m definitely saving money since going carnivore and buying meats, butter, eggs, heavy cream, sparkling water, coffee. Also signed up for a local, monthly meat delivery service. It’s around $160, and takes care of a good chunk of my meat products for the month.

      The point she was making about the eggs was that what costs $5.99 for a dozen and SOUNDS like "good eggs" from the labeling in the store is often lies. So, for example, "free range" just means that in the giant, windowless, stifling, smelly warehouse the chickens huddle in, at one end there is a door that is open for a few hours a day. She didn't say she doesn't care about quality -- only that so much funny business is done defining labeling terms in deceptive ways that she doesn't believe paying more for so-called good eggs will actually be better. And she is aspiring to get her own chickens to solve this problem.

    Tried that Costco deli snack yesterday and it was so good! I’ve missed pizza! We’re limited in stores being in Alaska but we have a Kroger sister store up here. I have to buy pasture raised eggs that were not given a grain diet (due to high inflammation issues it’s better for me) Those you can trust. My chiropractor tested all the eggs and no matter the brand pasture raised was the best.

    I'm always amazed by the cheese they sell in the US. Kraft Deli Deluxe reads "American cheese", which I suspect is just a euphemism for processed cheese 😉. It also contains sunflower lecithin for slice separation 😢. In the Netherlands we slice our cheese at home using a "kaasschaaf" 😊

    • @Georgeツ
      @Georgeツ ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You do realize that it is the same here? We, also, cut our cheese at home 😅 We *also* have pre-sliced or shredded options available at grocery stores for convenience sake. It's common knowledge that there are additives in the latter forms. Does your country not provide you with both options, as well?
      As for the Kraft cheese; that is not real cheese. I, personally, find the texture and consistency to be absolutely vile and I refuse to use it. Kraft, in general, I would avoid.

      @@GeorgeツYou're right, maybe my statement was a bit too resolute. We have sliced and shredded cheese in the supermarkets here as well, though to a lesser degree I dare to argue. By the way, the typical lunch most people bring to work here in the Netherlands is mass-produced sliced bread with cheese every single day, brrr!

    Could you bread the cheese with pork rinds etc to make them like fried cheese? Season the crushed pork rinds yourself with low carb things.

    I'm a fool keto eater. I keep my carbs quite low. but I still enjoy some carnivorous content. I'm always looking for new protein meals to add to my diet. Though I probably never go Carnivore because keto works for me and there's a lot more variety.

    Love all the good ideas in your videos! Want to try the bread cheese. Yum. At Costco, I buy chicken legs in separated packaging with 4. Air fry them 10 minutes per side and throw them on the grill to finish cooking and add Hughes BBQ no sugar sauce . Kind of like a “side” dish with a couple of burgers.
