I love all the acapella groups. But this is the difference I see in these versions: the others are performances, excellent as they all are. This is a testimony. These people are convicted and are sharing it with all their hearts, all the while applying their exceptional vocal skills.
Very valid point. They only thing I would say which I believe I said in the reaction it’s because they’re a choir based A’Capella group they can do this level of extreme singing 🔥🤯
I really like Choir and acoustic vocal harmonies or the chapel. That's how I met Gabriel Henrique, a beautiful voice and an impressive vocal control. I leave it as a suggestion for your appreciation Gabriel singing Mariah Carey's Oh holy night, posted on his official TH-cam channel. By the way, I loved your reaction, you're spontaneous and fun. Brotherly embrace.
Mark Lowry wrote the lyrics of the song so him singing along with Voctave is perfection! My favorite version! Second favorite is Mark singing it with David Phelps and Guy Penrod!
PLEASE do more Voctave. This is the best version I have heard EVER. Bring them to all your fans and expose this under-rated group. I read one of the previous comments about other acapella groups being more performance, but vocally, this group is the BEST.
Nice reaction. Being blown away by Voctave is only natural! By the way, the lyric they are singing is "Praises of the LAMB" (not "land"). "Lamb" is scriptural nomenclature for Jesus Christ, aka "The Lamb of God".
Great reaction! Please more #Voctave - the look of shock and awe on your face as you listen says it all! What makes this stand out for me is that they are not just singing a Christmas Song, they are singing it as worship to the Jesus, the Lamb of God/Son of God and it's sung with such reverence which makes it more "personal" - not to mention that Mark Lowry (seated due to his MS) wrote the lyrics so it's not an interpretation but rather how he intended it to be sung. Nothing against the other a cappella groups who've covered this, I really enjoy the Home Free and PTX versions too, but the vocal mastery, arrangement, harmonies and dynamics are perfection! Suggest: The Christmas Song, All Is Well and Where Are You Christmas next. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!!
@@rllangevin3841 I believe you nailed it on the head. Totally agree and i wasn’t aware of his MS. Make sense why he’s sitting down. Thank you for the suggestions
Mark Lowry, lead singer here, is the lyricist who did the original. Voctave had him come in so he could sing it as well. Just over 22 seconds. The end is 18 seconds. Their group is 11 people (EJ Cardona has done I Can't Make You Love Me, Go the Distance). Mark Lowry has been a pastor, a comedian, a poet, a lyricist. The praises of the Lamb. Mark is on a stool because he has MS (multiple sclerosis).
@@bjspeck4337 thank you for clarifying a few things. Ahh so 11 in total. Like a small choir then and aww I did not know. Sorry to know he’s in that position 🙏🏾
What an amazing version! Perfect! Your reaction was great. Please, I would really like you to react to the Brazilian Gabriel Henrique singing Mariah Carey's O Holy Night posted on his official TH-cam channel (GabrielHenriqueMusic). His voice is surreal!
So you don't know the guy sitting wrote this easily 35+ years ago. Look up his videos with the Gaither vocal band. He sings it with them and they do background also. It's hard to find him singing it alone. I have found it though - it's in his full video release of remote controlled. Towards the end.
Well reading the comments you already found out Mark wrote the song. I read 1 comment where the statement was giving testimony (Marks faith). I agree, what sets this version apart is Mark is simply having a conversation with Mary (if he could). Its dramatic and different because its a song of questions, hindsight, excitement, & explanation within his faith and the conversation he would be having. Thats why some of the differences are so special. Most sing this song exclaiming "Mary do you know" where Mark is asking "Mary do you know"? Best version hands down, nobody will ever top it.

@@lidianenascimentoleandro9849 hi there sorry for the late reply. Been having some time away from TH-cam this holiday. I can look into this singer and see what I can do 😊

Mark's faith and conviction come across so strongly and make this version so emotional and affecting. And THAT note... 25 beats... seated and with MS.

I may have to because I’ve never heard anything like this before. They should be talked about more and reacted to a lot more 😊
