  • Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
To create your own story in your sketchbook, you don't need much - except time to draw.
And you don't need to go anywhere for it. Do it at home, with your sketchbook in your lap, a warm or cool drink, enjoying the creative time you are allowing yourself to take. And maybe you discover something new in your surroundings. Even when you draw it over and over again.
Drawing the same thing many times, might seem boring, but it really can be very exciting. In today's video, I'll show you why.
    Let's draw!

Repeating the same scene really is an interesting expression of the past year and a half. Fascinating. I love the idea, too, of a morning drawing meditation. Finally, the layering of watercolor on crayon kinda blew my mind.

'Its not important at all, but it becomes important when you draw it" : I definitely live by this philosophy!!!

Love this! Super interesting how the same scene can be 'seen' and interpreted over and over using different art tools, colours, etc. certainly is a lovely series and makes a great statement on life during the pandemic lockdowns. Thank you for sharing your inspiration and techniques!

I’m surprised that you used wax crayons and then finished with watercolor! I love the strokes you used with the crayon on the back wall, it created a great texture too. I really appreciate your Draw Tip videos. Thank you.

Really interesting to see how the same scene can take on so many "versions". And isn't it fascinating, that mystery of why we "choose" to use particular pens, pencils, crayons, colours on one day and then something totally different on another...maybe connected to how we are feeling, how we are in that moment?

Love your DTTs. (Although today is Wednesday😁) Love your work with crayons. I bought some but still don't get on very well with them. "Must try harder" 😂

Hi Koosje! That’s a great tip, but I’ve been wondering how to use the daily sketchbook practice to improve in drawing… what should we focus on to draw better? The single subject you suggested sounds a good start, but maybe you could talk about this topic on your next video. :-)

It doesn’t matter what you draw, it is important to get the hours in - with every drawing, you practice, make mistakes and learn from them.
