Koosje, watching your videos is like meditation. So calming and peaceful and sweet! Also, you are such a great friend, your friend is lucky to have you! And I am glad she is OK!
I love how the end result looks carefully planned out and nicely filled! Last year I did a double page spread with stages of an orchid flower opening up over several days. It was great fun. Thanks for the reminder of doing a series of sketches, sort of as a time line, on one page
I'm FINALLY visiting family in the UK in July after nearly 5 years of not travelling (covid, assisting elderly dad in-law etc). So, looking forward to having time to sketch at the station, airport, train etc!
What a great idea. If I tried to draw that quickly, I dread to think what the results would be like 🤦🏻♂️although I know the only way to improve is to keep drawing. Love the look of this two page spread of your day.
Thank you Koosje - inspires me to use those small moments which can build up to so much! Did you always manage to find a place to sit down to draw or do you sometimes draw while standing up?
Thanks Koosje. I like the idea of snippets, more than doodles but not so much as a drawing. Nice also to see the brush pen at work, I have one but struggled to get the hang of it, time to try it out again with your inspiration x
Thank you Koosje for such a practical and fun demo of when and how to use our drawing skills. We are taking a Viking River cruise on the Danube late summer when i can really use your example. I better get practicing 🧑🎨
I love it. Great work with all those people! A little scared for me just now. Your friend is very lucky having your friendship. Love from far away Buenos Aires.
Several people have mentioned one should pick a subject and do sketches of that subject whenever they come across if. For instance, someone may pick trains, or buses, or taxis if there is an abundance of them. One might pick out barns, or horses, or windmills if they find there are many to choose from. Over the last several years as I drove my wife, or my oldest daughter, or myself for that matter 8:42 , to various doctor’s offices, x-ray or MRI waiting rooms, I have killed my wait times by sketching the waiting rooms I have sat in. Some even provide patients to fill in the seats and benches one finds. By now I have just about lost count of the number of waiting rooms I have sketched. Some of the people I have seen there have made for some very interesting subjects as well. I wonder if there is a market for sketches of local waiting rooms around here? The people sketches are not of the highest caliber so there would be no worry about letting the world know who was there and thus destroying their privacy.
You’re probably (unfortunately) not the only one with pages and pages filled in waiting rooms… it’s a great way to kill time, quiet anxiety, and much more…
Of iets soortgelijks. Alvast bedankt!
That looked excellent, Koosje! I will do this thing esp on my travels next week! Btw, is that the monstera your friend gave you as a cutting? It looks amazing! 🪴🥰
Koosje - you are a living treasure
Aw, thank you!
Great drawing idea, but more importantly, you are a very good friend 🧡
Aw thanks!
Koosje, watching your videos is like meditation. So calming and peaceful and sweet! Also, you are such a great friend, your friend is lucky to have you! And I am glad she is OK!
Wow, thank you!
So simple and so inspirational. Yes I can draw my day. No more wasting time trying to find what to draw. Thank you 😊
Absolutely! Everything is interesting when you draw it.

That's a great idea and sounds like a wonderful project!
Your friend is blessed to have you in her life and so are we! This was fun to watch. 😊
I’m just as blessed to have her in my life.
I'm FINALLY visiting family in the UK in July after nearly 5 years of not travelling (covid, assisting elderly dad in-law etc). So, looking forward to having time to sketch at the station, airport, train etc!
So much fun! Safe travels.
A good reminder that it can be as simple as one pen & paper.
It really is as simple as that.
So cool!
😊
What a great idea and I just love how you use the white crayon for mark making - I'll definitely try that. Thanks so much for sharing 🌻
You’re ever so welcome!
You are such a great friend. I suffered such 'homesickness' watching your travel and the countryside throughh the windows. Lovely!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I use drawing fragments (didnt know thats what i was doing) whenever I have to wait for an appointment, or at the hospital. helps with my anxiety. 😊
Ive drawn a lot of chairs, water bottles and airline seats
Oh yes, I agree - it distracts your mind from anxious thoughts!
Thanks for sharing. It’s also amazing how you can hold your phone while sketching and moving in a train 😄
Thanks for that! It kind of is haha
Thanks Koosje! Great video. I like your drawings.
Thank you for watching!

Everyone has their own pace. Keep going!
Thank you, Koosje. You made drawing become so much fun!
Very happy to hear that!
Thank you Koosje 😊 that was so much fun . A snippet day😅
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful! ❤
☺️
That’s really lovely….
Glad you think so.
That’s great! I thought this morning of sketching during meetings that otherwise bore me to tears. Lots of those at work. Haha.
Go for it. It’s scientifically proven that drawing during meetings makes you focus better. No more boredom.
Love it!
Thanks!!
I just got your book, you were right... I did want it. I'm really looking forward to getting it!
Yay, that makes me happy!
This was very interesting. I need to do this. Thank you for inspiration.
Glad it was helpful!
I m going to give it a try. Very inspiring!
You can do it!
Thank you Koosje - inspires me to use those small moments which can build up to so much! Did you always manage to find a place to sit down to draw or do you sometimes draw while standing up?
Sometimes I sit, sometimes I stand. That’s why at some point I hold the pen with my mouth!
You're always surprisingly inspirational. You capture the essence of your day so easily. Thank you for sharing.😊😊😊
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic
☺️
Wat lief! It’s good you accompanied your friend 👍 good sketches too
Thanks!
This is an informative video! Your work is great. And I'm sure holding the cam was tricky
Yes it kind of was but I do like mini challenges like that
Aww... more wind...it must be following you.😉. Have a great day!!
Hahahah I’m afraid so!
You make it look effortless.
That’s because it’s just so much fun! The effort is in getting out your sketchbook, a pen and DOING IT
That was fantastic! Thank you for sharing your day!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Absolutely interesting sketches and what a good friend you are to help someone and also do art!!
Thank you so much 😀
I love it. Great work with all those people! A little scared for me just now. Your friend is very lucky having your friendship. Love from far away Buenos Aires.
Thank you so much!
I'm too scared to look at people's faces in the train long enough to draw them! Do you have tips on how to overcome my fear? :D
Maybe this video will help? th-cam.com/video/1cRaSUzHwbI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=tAP2-alsCW8BtzTJ
Very inspiring😊 ! Thanks
Glad you liked it!
What I wonderful idea! I will use it on my travel days.
Have fun!
Really loved watching this, thankyou Koosje
Glad you enjoyed it.
I would love to see more and more of these on-the-go video's! I'll do it myself as well :D Been trying to get out of my art-block. IK KAN HET.
Yes you can!!
A very good idea. I have just finished reading your book which is great, inspirational and given me lots to think about and do. 👏👏😊
Wonderful! Thank you so much.
Inspiring indeed
😊
I'm going to have to get myself a brush pen. So versatile!
I love the brush pen, but of course you can do this with any tool.
Inspiring as always
Thanks for watching!
This is giving me Mario Miranda art style vibes 😍
I had to look him up, but thank you!
What pen were you using for the lettering? Love your snippet day! Thank you.
It’s a sailor fountain pen with a fude nib. I bought one after a TH-cam clip from Koosje a few years ago. I really love it and recommend it !
It’s in the description of the video but here it is again: a Pentel Pocket Brushpen

I will try a brush pen! Scared!
It’s just ink on paper. You got this.

Jazeker, dat is window-swap.com
Which brush pen do you use in this video?
Pentel pocket brush pen
That looked excellent, Koosje!
I will do this thing esp on my travels next week!

How did it go?
