Design for Change Singapore 2023 (extended version)

  • The Design for Change Singapore Study Tour was held in June 2023. The tour was a consortium of Design and Nursing students and academics from four Australian Universities (QUT, Monash University, Federation University, and University of Canberra) along with Australian industry partner APNA (Australian Primary Healthcare Nurses Association). Australian students from Design and Nursing worked with a local institution: Nanyang Polytechnic. In total there were 107 students (include 22 Design students from QUT) involved in this experience. The tour theme was Design for Change: Better Health for All’ and students worked with Design Singapore Council and SG Enable (Singapore’s Ministry for Disability and Inclusion) to create better design solutions for the SG Enable’s Enabling Village. The Design for Change Symposium near the end of the tour included a range of global experts in Design and Health from Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai, Hong Kong, UK and Australia.
