This is the only video on spin in pickleball I've watched where someone actually shows how to hit with spin instead of just saying "add spin to the ball". From everyone who didn't play tennis- thank you!!!
Great video(s). You are the first pickleball channel I subscribed to :) Curious, does your grip change for a top spin drive (ie. Eastern?) vs a Slice (Continental?)
Please do a video on how to return balls that are hit to you with alot of spin and power, from all areas of the court. I forward all your videos to my PickleBall Buddies :)
I always like your videos but this one I learned by far the most. Like people below I didnt play tennis so understanding the spins at a deeper level is huge! Thanks so much!
Are you turning/flipping your wrist or hand perhaps when you hit topspin?? If you are, would you illustrate with a clock face if applicable? Would it be 4 o’clock to 12 o’clock or something like that?
Great video, I learned a lot! One question though, at 12:29 and at 14:10 you mention a particular type of grip. I can’t pick up the term you use and don’t have any idea what that grip is - can you explain it, please? Also, I would suggest you provide a video on pregame warm-ups, i.e. what should every player do to be sure they are not going to injure themselves during play. Another thought: a video on training exercises in the gym to improve strength and endurance on the court.
Just subscribed. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and find them very helpful for a relative beginner like myself. Thank you and keep them coming! Who’s wins when you and your sisters play?
Is there anyway you can do a slow mo from the side. I would like to see the paddle face’s angle where it strikes the ball and motion path of the swing from the side view. Thanks for the videos. I’ve learned a lot.
I have been playing about a year and the Selkirk Air Invicta, the CRBN and RONBUS paddles can impart some great spin. It is interesting that it isn't always the surface that make it a great spin paddle. You have to just play with different paddles to try them out. I think good technique might even make a poor spin paddle work well. Some of the different online Pickleball retailers off "Demo" deals to try out several paddles for a week and then you ship them back. Rock on!
I find it easier to put back spin on the ball on some of my returns. Seems to work pretty well the ball just dies basically when it hits the surface, not much forward motion on it at all. Something I used in table tennis and thought I would give it a try on the PB court!
Great video! Really detailed and clear. So for something like forehand drive with topspin, it's not really a wristy shot, but more dependent on the forward and up swing path right?
Sort of. You need a bit of both. I played a lot of high level Tennis, and although I use a lot of arm movement, I also use some wrist to add more spin. Its a bit like a Golfer using that snap of the wrist just before making contact with the golf ball, so that it goes further.
I use a continental grip and hit the ball very flat. I am trying to teach myself to put top spin on the ball. I have the hardest time hitting top spin when not using an eastern grip but find it challenging to hit a back hand (drive or dink) with it. Do you change your grip depending on the situation? Such as eastern for top spin drives? What about Volleys? Thoughts/recommendations? I appreciate the videos and the feedback.
Love your instructional videos. From your videos, I have developed a very hard top-spin serve. I am good at accuracy too. I try to vary the speed of the serve, but do you think accurate, slower serves are better? OK, my real challenge is when I am receiving medium speed shots just at the level of the top of the net, with me at the NVZ line... About half the time when I try to speed that up, I catch about 2-6" below the top of the net. I have tried to start my swing below the level of the ball, but the doesn't always work. Any suggestions are appreciated. -Mark
Spin, consistency, touch, and power are the keys to playing high level Pickleball. Most players just make too misstakes and miss in the net or miss wide way too much.
I’m trying to develop a default serve. I’ve recently noticed if I strike the ball with the handle forward of the paddle face and end of the swing over my head on the non-dominant side the bounce is less predictable to the opponent and the ball travels straighter. Could you please comment on this style?
I used to play competitive table tennis. Now that I've taken up pickleball, the problem is I'm trying to put too much spin on the ball. Pickleball spin is nothing compared to table tennis spin.
Why not a sidespin surve going the other direction? It would be the curveball compliment to the screwball and would hide the true topspin surve better.
I've entered the Twilight Zone. I would have sworn previous videos called out Kanidi as the taller blond,.. and Kimmi as the shorter dark haired sister. 😳
Excessive spin, may work for some, but it pisses me off to no end, as to me it's cheating! My guess is one day someone is going to get seriously hurt from someone spinning constantly. No one I know lies it, and many times I've let the odd person know what I think of it!
Maybe you might learn how to counter it. Trust me, if the spin in pickleball is triggering you, you're a mite too easy to trigger. Pickleball spin is paltry compared to the spin of other racket sports. I used to play tournament table tennis. The spin was unreal.

What have you been watching? Bs, worst video I've seen of any pickleball 😅
What a rude comment.
Thanks for watching everyone and good luck on the courts this weekend! If you want to help our channel grow, like, share & subscribe!
Hey EnhancePickleball, I like your content and would like to see collaboration opportunities. BTW I see your videos being copied elsewhere by others.
Great video(s). You are the first pickleball channel I subscribed to :)

New player, 1 month, to the game. Seeing opponents using spin, wanted to learn how. Thank you much for this video.

This is the best video I have seen on spin. Now I understand the how and when… finally !
I always like your videos but this one I learned by far the most. Like people below I didnt play tennis so understanding the spins at a deeper level is huge! Thanks so much!
You covered so much the only thing left spinning is my head! 😵
Good to come back to review now and again.
One of the moat helpful videos ive seen on this topic. Well done

Only playing 19 days, your videos complement the points made my coach (two lessons) perfectly. 😊
Great instructional video, thank you very much!
New to PB. Learn a lot from your videos. Thank you!
Thank you for all the videos you make.
My pleasure!
Thank you. Would love to master the spin 😊!
Love your videos, Connor. I am sure I will need to watch this 1000 times before I get it all, but I'm off to the court to try some spins today. :-)

He uses the term continental grip.
Thank you so much for the tutorial ❤ highly recommended video for pickleball players 🤙🏼

Thank for the spin video. Question, with the top spin, slice and the screw ball. What grip are you suggesting, continental or eastern? Skip

Great video! Impressive
Great video! Thanks for sharing. What’s wrong with chopping the ball? Is this an illegal move?
Hi great video , is there a better Paddle ( Brand ) model for get better SPINS ?? Thank you !

At 14:11 guy on court behind you looked to hit an illegal (above waist) serve. Is that correct?
Very nice, awesome thanks 👍👌🙏🙏🙏

Thanks for the video. I would have liked to see the motions in slow motion.

Is a serving slice allowed in pickeball?
great video - what paddle are you using?
Sweetspot pro!

where can I see this guy play a game? I'm curious

How are you liking that Luxx compared to the power air?
The Luxx is more like the 003. You really need to try both to see which you prefer
What paddle are you playing with?
Your sister with the white shirt one what paddle is she using? thx
How you liking the luxx so far?
@ 2:54 Seconds, it is parallel, not perpendicular to the floor and net
Is there an advantage to using backspin on either your serve, drive, dink and is there a technique for a backspin return or dink?
Using backspin on a serve or drive just slows things down and makes it easier for your opponent.
I have trouble with back hand returns.
Pickleball is the hottest game in the country. Great video!
I used to play competitive table tennis. Now that I've taken up pickleball, the problem is I'm trying to put too much spin on the ball. Pickleball spin is nothing compared to table tennis spin.
What is the rationale for such spin to be illegal on a serve?
Is it illegal to do chopping? Like in table tennis?
Shouldn't we use a semi-western grip when hitting topspin? It actually looks like you are using a semi-western instead of continental.
There's a new sister in every video. How many siblings do you have?
Why not a sidespin surve going the other direction? It would be the curveball compliment to the screwball and would hide the true topspin surve better.
Spin serves have been banned in 2023
@@russellpoole3151 You must have missed the section of the video where he describes topspin and sidespin serves...

Good presentation less talk and more demonstrations
Here cause of the thumbnail
Not disappointed
we're all here for the thumbnail
Cupping? It's called supination.
I've entered the Twilight Zone. I would have sworn previous videos called out Kanidi as the taller blond,.. and Kimmi as the shorter dark haired sister. 😳
If top spin is the best serve why does everyone who kicks my butt use side spin on their serve?
How many siblings do you have???
Unlimited 😂
It’s really hard to focus on your lessons when you use two hot women in your videos
The only sport that the ranking start at 2.5 because we don’t want to exclude anyone.
Having hot sisters helps keep viewers attention, well mine anyway.
A lot of good information but too much to absorb all at once. I suggest shorter more focused videos. 😊
Your sisters are baddies
Second
For Pete's sake day dukes and tight tank tops. Ugh. Off of our court pg and married friendly gross
