The clearest and most articulate explanations of pickleball technique I've found. This guy not only knows what he's talking about, but he explains it very well.
Note: 1) Front foot remains in place, back foot toe remains in place but heel lifts up. 4:37 2) Butt of grip is about an inch inside the palm of hand (4:30 minute - Wrist Lag section). Also, perhaps a longer grip handle might increase kinetic chain impact.
A really great video on technique. I like how you break down the power serve. I'm really great at spin serves, top spin lob serves, side spin serves and back spin. I need to learn how to perfect a power serve. Your video should help me with that. Nice job you are very organized in your teaching.
Connor this is brilliant! You have had this subject video before but this lesson has much better articulated analogies. My problem, I've been told, is rotation timing, resulting in all arm power rather than core energy. Does your off arm help with quicker rotation? Ghost Stroke images should show me what is actually happening, I've never knew how to fix it before . Fast and loose-- i like it!! Keep them coming please
Love watching your videos, you explain perfectly. I have the selkirk 003 I was trying to figure out how you had your added weight on your paddle can you share that??
I’m new to the game but I’m an athlete that understands this motion. I noticed that if I get both feet down going forward into the shot I was able to really crank returns and put a lot of spin on the ball. Also can basically shoot the ball back at them hard w w top spin w o trying. What I have trouble doing is not going for winners on like every ball lol. Coming from racketball where you try to kill everything and push dinks are fun and effective, it doesn’t apply to this game because you have to hit the ball solid in pickle to control it.
Love the videos. Keep em coming. I see some people doing shadow strokes at tournaments during a match in those early mornings when they don't have time to warm up. Kenadi clickbait pic, lol.
Great new added graphics. Content is solid as always. Just a 3.5+ rec player but power is not my focus. Deep and accurate is what I focus on. My serve is odd, I almost hit the ball out of my hand, no toss. Power with that LUXX? Imagine hitting the GB Pro Power.
I'm curious. I see you stand with your left foot forward. If you stand with your right foot forward, do you think you might achieve greater rotation and forward motion making it easier on your shoulder?
Love your lessons Conner. But your screwball serve seems like you are tossing it slightly up, making it look like you are serving above the level of your waist. Given 2024 rule changes, what do you say please? Thanks!
Hey..Great video. Being a USPTA tennis prof..I can't help but notice your progression and analogies are very familiar.. Is it an amazing coincidence or are you coming from Tennis? (!Like I did)
First kinetic chain description was weak, but sciencey enough to sound like credible bro science. The rest of the drills/descriptions of actual performance was pretty good.
I’ve been playing for about 9mo and as someone who played a lot of tennis in my past, I find the game incredibly easy due to the touch and feel that I’ve already developed. PB also has a limited amount of shots and the much smaller court compared to tennis, so it’s not too complicated a game for me. Having said that, while my serve is decent with a slight corkscrew spin, I find myself with a bit of the yips if I try a standard topspin serve to get a bit more power…I’ll hit it more into the net or long than I should. After tossing the ball, do you feel like you’re hitting it immediately or letting it drop slightly lower before contact? Hitting it when a tad lower will straighten the ball more than when it’s higher due to the angles, but that small difference in timing is making me more prone for errors during matches..
Well golf, tennis, ping pong... and yes pickleball, all have this in common... power comes from your legs, hips, torso, arm... Nothing new in this video. IYKYK.

I'm a new player (2 months) and have greatly enjoyed your videos. Thank you.

Thanks! I barely threw my paddle like 20 feet before and now I’m constantly throwing it out of the court!
Thanks, I've been having trouble punching people hard enough. I will try your technique!

Great video! Thanks for all the information!

Excellent video! It's even better in terms of boxing than most videos out there!!!
Would love some more advanced 4.0+ vids targeting resets, grip changes, dink placements, soft game strat, etc
You're a great coach! Thank you!
I appreciate that!
Great tips. I m going to give these a try tomorrow. Thanks!
Thanks!
You’re the best!

You are a great coach. You instruct a lot of skills such that I don't know what to ask. 68 videos are too many to practice
Glad it was helpful!
Brilliant vids thank you

Any drills to improve shot accuracy and control?
hit against a brick wall and slowly move closer while keeping the ball in the same spot. Then do it while switching hands every hit
I’m getting better and better with the paddle toss technique after every lost match! A bit expensive though.
Love the videos.
Keep em coming.

Plz consider instructions on the face of the paddle & “direction” of the ball; the different “locations” where we want the ball to land.
I started yesterday and I’m watching this for tips
Have hard time with my serves, like this one. Can you do backhand serve video?
Wow, hitting 60+ MPH serves is impressive!
Can you do more slow motion?
Where do you like to stand while serving? Closer to the sidelines or closer to the middle? Does it matter if you're serving from the odd or even side?
Depends on if it’s singles or doubles.
Generally you want to stand so that you can hit most 3rd shots with your forehand (at least for typical players).
Love your lessons Conner. But your screwball serve seems like you are tossing it slightly up, making it look like you are serving above the level of your waist. Given 2024 rule changes, what do you say please? Thanks!
How about the drop serve? That’s the way I learned.
Does the Dinkmaster come fully assembled or is some assembly necessary?
Takes about 5 minutes to assemble
@@EnhancePickleball ..Okay..thanks
Great videos! To the point! Appreciate your skill set and ability to get it across. Keep up the good work!!!
Shuffle step please

He said he played college tennis in another video
Kinetic chain is also taught in golf as well …
Isn't a toss illegal on the serve? (see rule book)
Good video but what happened to Sis? Clickbait 😂
We made the thumbnail first and then realized the day we made this she had a tournament ahahah
I think kinematic chain is a more effective descriptor
First kinetic chain description was weak, but sciencey enough to sound like credible bro science. The rest of the drills/descriptions of actual performance was pretty good.
Thanx for the pointers but keep in mind you are not allowed to “toss” the ball up as you stated
You can toss the ball *if it's not a "bounce serve."
Step 1: equip gearbox pro power elongates
Step 2: profit

But your shadow stroke is different from your actual serve..
A lot like hitting a baseball.
Well golf, tennis, ping pong... and yes pickleball, all have this in common... power comes from your legs, hips, torso, arm... Nothing new in this video. IYKYK.
So… I guess you don’t recommend bouncing ball on serve?
You can use these tips on either tossing style
Nothing against the guy doing the video, but power in pickleball is like MLB playing t-ball instead of having a pitcher.
