I really hope they eventually bring out We Love Katamari for the Switch too. It added a lot of stuff, and it's the only sequel that the original developer was involved in.

I remember playing an older one on the PS2 and watching this reminds me of things in the game I forgot about
At the end of each sentence he speaks, I feel like I just got served by The King of All Cosmos
This looks like it's running at 1080p 60fps, which makes me even more excited to play this. Hope Europe gets a physical edition, definitely picking this up if so.
I'm hoping for a physical release as well, but so far there haven't been any listings on amazon or anywhere...
Let's hope that still changes.

Europe isn't getting a physical edition, but if you do want a physical edition you can order one on Play-asia.
I was mainly going to get a switch for ssb...but the I found out this was coming out and completely forgot about ssb 🤣🤣🤣

@@comradecat1922 it kinda explains it in the Intro, the king of the cosmos gets bored and somehow destroys all the stars and you must re build them by rolling things into a giant katamari, also there is really super square, like actual square Korean people in a side story that is interesting. Basically the same as other katamari games although this one is directly similar to Damacy I believe.
Edit. So yes 100% this is Damacy on the PS2 redone for the switch. Very fun game
I would agree with you since Smash Bros. is pretty much the exact same game everybody creams their pants over for no reason, this Katamari seems strikingly similar to the Touch my Katamari almost noone bought because, unfortunately, nobody bought a PS Vita.

Fingers crossed we get a unique to Switch Katamari game. The last sequel was Touch My Katamari if I'm not mistaken, and as good as that game was, not many people will ever get to play it.

Getting this on steam - the original was never officially released in European countries but I played a US copy. Can't wait to do it all over again

@@HughRaine we love katamari is a different game - it's the sequel. It's on my shelf near my PS2 lol. The international version of Damacy was US-only and the only way you would have had it is if your PS2 was American or chipped

I never had a ps2 so I emulated this game on pc. I always thought 5:03 was a glitch on my emulator. The green and pink lines don't look right in my opinion.

So i never played this on previous consoles and really don't know a whole heck of a lot about it.....so what is the purpose of the game?

The King of All Cosmos (the huge Tingle looking guy) went on a drinking binge one night and destroyed all the stars and the moon. So, he gives The Prince (the 'lil green man), his son, the task of recreating the entirety of all the stars in the sky by using a katamari to roll everything and anything up in it to create stars and sometimes even recreate constellations.
That's basically the plot right there. There's a secondary plot going on during the game involving a family too.

@@midnightripple Give it a try if you get a chance. I never thought I'd like it, but after borrowing a copy from a friend I was hooked. It's the kind of game you can drop into to kill a couple minutes then realize a few hours have gone by while having fun.

Because If you fail a level it’s scary for the kids so I would recommend like 8 and up. But if you never fail then it would be good for 6 and up

I mean, you roll up tons of people, animals, and entire cities in the katamari to create stars and the freakin' MOON. That's pretty dang violent in a weird way.
