i just finished the game last night and i absolutely love that the final level has you build the biggest katamari like EVER and iT USES THE MAIN THEME I LOVE THAT IT DOES THAT
That was a really nice run. Whoa...you went so much smaller than I anticipated. I didn't expect you to try for all the little buildings and boats, but then in REROLL you can. All that stuff disappears a lot earlier on PS2.
That's a good question. As you size up bigger and bigger throughout the stage, smaller things start to disappear so that the game can free up memory. This doesn't just happen during the loading transitions, but constantly during play. Because of this, the strategy to get the biggest katamari is to collect many smaller items that add a decent amount of size before they disappear and leave the larger items for later. This was very important on the PS2 version where items would disappear quite early. Reroll is able to keep more items loaded for a longer amount of time, so the disappearance isn't as obvious but it still happens. I try and collect trees and smaller islands before they disappear, while avoiding larger items that would size me up too fast, and then work my way up to larger and larger things to grab until there's nothing left!
In certain stages you can unlock Eternal mode, meaning you can roll without the timer. Make a Star 4, 8, and Moon have it. You need to reach a certain size - in Moon it's 800m. The angels indicate that you've done it.
A little piece of trivia is that this isn't the angels' only purpose in the franchise! In We Love Katamari, for example, they're "decedents of the royal family" and can be rolled up!
The katamari model gets bigger subtly as you collect things, at the same time the oldest objects on you are drawn inside it, where they then disappear. You aren't supposed to be able to see the katamari model so easily here, though, that's an error exclusive to Reroll.
"What's your size record on Make the Moon?" - "Everything."

Why did you keep skipping over so much stuff you could roll up, like the squid, octopus, and whirlpools?

Nice run 👍

Incredible!
Why Are angels Orbiting The Katamari?

@@mindicity3874 is that PS2 only because I've never seen it on Reroll.
@@Astridax93 It's right there in the vid, that's why the OP asked what it was.
The level is ascending to Katamari Forever (and you unlock eternal mode as well)
I was just 1m shy of getting everything. The last 50m or so to collect is so hard.
This is what happens when you don’t share
I missed like 6 islands and a couple of clouds on mine
Aww He's cute ❤
good stuff i got 20cm off this, was curious to the largest possible size on this level.
That bit at 5:43 reallyu annopys hte tits off me. Its ridiculous that that tiny islet knocks so much stuff off you and is so hard to get onto! Grrrr!
Wow
So the katamari itself does grow bigger as it picks things up? It isn't just one set size? Huh..
I think that's a technical limitation

oh man, I just got 849 on here.

How many people died
10 maybe, idk
This game was a disappointment. I was trying to get to space and collect planets and shii
Beautiful Katamari has that, but it's exclusive to the Xbox 360.
I mean this was a remaster of the first Katamari game. It's understandable that it wouldn't have the features of later titles.
You can roll up that type of stuff starting with We ❤ Katamari
