Thank you. Good clear English, decent enough camera work to see what your doing, and a clear explanation of how to follow you. Also; when you make a mistake you tell us you did and what you had to do to fix it. Thanks again. I have two AU Sportsmen, and one ZB 1968, all registered and driven often. I love Fords.
Thank you very much for your comment and support. I think including mistakes is important. You know I could edit the clip and remake parts of the footage to cover my fails and make it look more like I never stuff up. But I make mistakes as well as others and always work out a way to resolve a problem. Hay if you ever need someone to look after you Fairlane I'm available :) Always wanted a ZA or ZB. I've always owned and love Fords as well.
Cheers mate. Even if I have to replace the guts of the actuator with a new kit you shown all the steps & all those things which would have tested my patience.
To help keep that spring in place? I thought about doing that as well at the time but didn't want to over think it and spend more time trying to find or make something so I didn't. Now I know the outcome had I tried. Thanks for the feedback.

3:26 A good view of how the plastic gear is set up. I put an extra spring cap near the gear end and it wouldn't lock!

Thats unlucky. This was the first time in 20 years of owning this AU I had to remove the door trim.
