There's nothing wrong with vvivid vinyl. Everything he showed as problems were installer error

Yes if it’s wrapped right but you can ppf it to avoid it
used vivid on a chrome delete and it ruined the chrome

How is that wrap holding up to the california sun? Yeah, $1200 for a carbon top ain't worth it. I'm doing my mustang roof, but i've been looking at $1200 carbon hoods and honestly i'll be saving almost no weight over my aluminum hood. some of the carbon hoods actually weigh more. Now i'm considering getting that hood louver you have on your c6 and cutting a hole in my hood for it and wrap the hood in carbon vinyl. that will give me a heat extractor hood that looks like carbon fiber for a 1/4 of the price. Plus i don't have the stress of shipping a carbon fiber hood to me.
Nothing compares to the real deal still, also yes it can be pricey, but if you just skin it just as you pretty much did with the sticker, you can get actual carbon fiber for said $20 a yard at 50” wide and all you need is about 2 yards and half a quart of resin for like $40 and that is $60 versus the $1000 solid carbon you mentioned.

I used vivid carbon fiber for my roof and that was your fault. You did not release the tension on the edges so in the heat it shrunk and ripped on the corners. You also did a bad job of tucking it underneath the weatherstripping so it wrinkled.
I'm new to wrapping, Im thinking of doing my carbon hood which is starting to fade. I'm debating between getting it re cleared/gel coated at s shop. Or wet sanding it and clearing it myself, or. Somebody mentioned maybe just wrap it and I'm trying to learn more about applications.

Holy SH*T bro you paid so much for a roof wrap! I wrap peoples Hood, Roof and trunk for $500. That is even when they have sun damage and I have to prep.

Imagine you suck at wrapping but blame the company for their materials.
what's wrong with all of the yellow again? why not just paint it black if you don't like the yellow; it's just plastic/fiberglass.
Can't really blame the so called cheap v wrap for the shoddy workmanship or poor preparation! I've used cheapest if the cheap and the best of the best and know that even some of the cheaper vinyls last as long as the expensive ones, not that I recommend keeping vinyl on for long periods but know that some still running the same vinyl I applied 3-4 yrs ago! I myself had 2ft vinyl strips running right round my car and was still good at 4yrs before I lost her!
Vivid and avery are two of the best vinyl companies out there....don't be a tool, you were the issue not the vinyl.

Because it's way too much Daytona blue on the car. And I didn't have the option of ordering it from hethel England with the carbon fiber package, not to mention 350 for a wrap versus 9500 for the carbon fiber pack. Call us posers but you don't own it. As they say hate the game not the player!
