Man that Reds black on black setup was all over the place in the 90s here in Phoenix. I remember Reds Competition pumps. Those were bad ass at that time. Brings back alot of memories seeing this.
Imma slow learner but I like how low lows look and act and i guess to really get Into i gotta watch this video a lot to learn a good bit so I build one
I have to make a presentation about lowrider hydraulic systems for my engineering class and I wanted to ask if you need one of these pumps per axle, per wheel, or one per full car? Thanks so much.
Eamonn Prunty Thats cool, theres a bunch of ways that you can build a lowrider. You can use 1 pump to as many pumps that you want to use. The basic set up is 2 pumps, 1 pump to the front 2 wheels and the 2nd pump to the rear wheels. Another most known set up is 3 pumps, 1 pump to the front wheels and 2nd pump to the right rear wheel and the 3rd pump to the rear left wheel or even in reverse with 3 pumps. On some hoppers they have 2 pumps to the front and 2 or 1 to the rear wheels. Some people have 4 pumps for the front wheels and 2 or even 4 pumps to the rear wheels. When someone uses just 1 pump in the entire car then they have 4 dump plumbed on that 1 pump. Theres many ways a lowrider can be built though.
That pump has two dump 2 cylinders.for rear axle 2 dumps for fron a arms hydraulic cylinders mostvtimes replaces shock.instead of gas.oil is controlled to lifting and lower.through pressure up to 8000 psi
hey brother i just replaced the rings on my dump cartrige but as i pulled it out i was cleaning what i thought was some of the o-ring in the box and i got a snap ring ,spring and a nut that looks like a castle chess piece. did somthing brake that im dont kow ?
I have a 64 belair with 2 pumps 6 batteries the car started to get slow when I it the switches, but now they don't work at all... all batteries read more than 12v solenoids and pump motors are good but when I press the switches I just hear the motors but doesn't do anything. Any advice would be appreciated Thank you
What about batteries? What’s the difference between having 4-6 batteries? I want a 2 pump 4 battery set up for my 62. Because I want to put big subs back there and I want it all to fit. And would it be an option to upgrade add batteries and pumps to your existing set up for the future?
If you have 4 batteries for 2 pumps first of all up it batteries will die supper fast and it wouldn’t be enough power just for my back of the car I have 4 batteries and they die quick (if you like to use them almost everyday) it’s better to have more then 4 especially for 2 pumps
The motors from hydraulics are the motors on snow Mobile. All these pumps are exactly the same as old school. Only difference is the blocks the old blocks are steel are cast iron. I been around hydraulics all my life.
Thank you for taking the time to explain with details how the pump works. 👍

Your gonna have to pull ur pump apart and check the slpine key and also check the O-ring that is in between the gear and block.
@@lowlowsandmore Thank you

Your welcome, more videos coming soon.
What oil/fluid do you use for old 90’s pump like you have?
NoelBB 14
I honestly don't know what oil they used to run in the 90s, but i run Pennzoil 5-20 and or 5-30. I havent had any problems with that oil.
@@lowlowsandmore I use to use hydraulic oil for my reds, oil that's used for car lifts.
Thanks
How many batteries needs each pump?
MrMvlle1313
Each pump needs 2 batteries each to work.
How do you fix a dump
I am gonna do a dump rebuild video in mid September once all the rebuild kits get here.
That looks just like the CCE pumps on my 92 Sonoma just isn't chrome
Hey bud I liked this video . You went ahead and explained everything made it more understandable . Do you have an Instagram account I can follow?
Yes, on my more recent videos i post my Instagram account,
Look me up @Lowlowsandmore
Looks like I could use this on a snow plow.
