Perfect example of modern craftsmanship! I love your improvised solutions for cutting the foam, roller for the tubing etc. Thanks for showing the whole process :)
You should put the cold water pipes closer to the ground beneath the isolation, that way you will have cold water in the tabs right away as you are doing it you will have to empty the pipe before your water is cold.
So clean work :). I wanted making the same for my house in PL, but it turned out that we have 80-90cm of rich black soil, and replacing it with a gravel would cost a fortune, so went for traditional foundation. Your work is impressive! One comment however, this is also a common mistake here: based on the weight and color of the sewage pipes you used a „foam” type. They have thin layer of plastic from inside and outside and foam inside between. They are cheap but don’t warrant long life. Only solid pipes (heave, expensive) shall be placed under the concrete slab.
Are you able to substitute steel rebar with fiberglass? It is a little cheaper and much lighter to work with. Use 10m for the bends. I was told they work together well.
Can you please explain why you used thin metal grid right over XPS sheets? That foundation works well with drainage on the perimeter. I guess you'll make it later.
Amazing work! What is the name of the type of plastic screws you were using to join the rigid foam insulation. Please advise. I've been looking for those for years, here in Canada. Thank you.
Frost heave protection, they do the same or similar in loads of northern US states also where you often have to lay sheets of insulation around the outside of the building also. It stops the ground water freezing the footings & causing the freezing to lift the building & causing cracking also.

We all do it this way. With hydronic underfloor heating you need proper insulation during the winter months in Sweden, to not have a house that is radiating heat into the ground to no use. This way the heating costs go down and you need less electricity to heat the water.

Nur das diese Methode überholt ist. Ich heize nicht mehr den ganzen Beton der Bodenplatte auf!! Für was auch?👎👎🇩🇪
Amazing how the building practices are so different around the world. Will last 10 lifetimes for sure.
What a work of art. It's like the Mona Lisa of foundations ❤

Perfect slab on grade, we also call it Alaska slab foundation. This is how highways are constructed in colder regions. Great craftsmanship

What is the purpose of this metal strip underground, below the foundation line?

Amazing, great job!
That is an intense slab/foundation! Very nice
Why the metal strip in the beginning ??

Nice Good job👍
I was wondering why the mesh wasn't being chaired up. As my father said many times, be quite and watch. Mesh for grid, rebar for reinforcement.
Where did you buy the EPS screws? great job!
Awesome video! Great work, never seen this type of foundation

What is the white ribbed looking pipe being used for?
What were the pipes drilled through footings for?

Very interesting. What was the vibration engine model please
@dimitrydiy What did you use to create a channel in the foam for the tubing? 21:59
Looks like he made a heated loop out of bent wire and electricity.
Beautiful work, but, why the metal strip at the beginning--do not understand that one.
Same
Me either - why the buried metal strip???
The structure is completely insulated from the ground so…. You need an artificial ground for all your electric wiring and also lightning strikes.
Great idea. The only problem is- you have to plan everything before you pour the concrete. There is a zero chance to move anything around later.
👍
Perfect. You have a clue
What did that slab cost you to build. I live in Canada and thinking of doing a similar type of construction.
cool design and love the use of eco materials.
Cool, Thanks : )
Did you just cut bare asbestos at 11:30, or is it some sort of lightweight concrete?
Fermacell(tm) concrete element, I guess.

Да

Bit late to check the pipe for no leaks with all that rebar over it?

The way in sweden is to use a lot of drainage and solid ground by using macadam then isolation.
сколько в кубометрах заместили выработанного грунта
на что заместили
сколько стоило
спасибо
But, it's sure it is Sweden? How is anchored, the house, on the Sand?
Or under there is a fondament in reinforced concrete?
Not Sweden, higher/more isolation in Sweden before concrete. And of course other differences too
What is the metal strip buried at the very start of the video
this is the foundation earth

Avoiding thermal bridging
Also to prevent floor heating to warm the dirt ground. Otherwise it could draw moist up in the flloor.

Why not making the concrete in first place nice and smooth, instead grinding afterwards
А как же грызуны, под плитой?
I liked it because there where no dogs. The interested child was very nice. I am afraid that mice or other animals will use your isolation.
